We had a reservation for 7:15, we waited about 5 minutes for our table to be prepped before being seated.
Our server, Vinny stopped by our table to introduce himself and let us know he’d be right with us. About 5 minutes later Vinny returned to take our drink orders and tell us about the dinner specials. It was at least 10 minutes before our drinks arrived - 3 ordered wine and 3 ordered beer. We had to ask for glasses for the beer, which took another 7-8 minutes and then we were given wine glasses instead of chilled beer glasses as we had been told. We finally got a single basket of bread and placed our appetizer and dinner orders...then Vinny disappeared.
Our appetizers we delivered and we all needed drink refills - it took at least 15 minutes before the second round of drinks were delivered.
Our entrees were finally delivered and we had to ask for a second basket of bread...we were told that our server would have to see if there was any ready in the kitchen. The basket of bread was delivered as we were finishing our meals.
The evening was not quite what we were hoping for but with Enza’s great reputation I’m sure we’ll give it another try...but not for a while.
We had a wonderful time. We went there is see if we wanted to host our wedding rehearsal dinner here. And yes we do. We will be calling this week to make the reservation
Excellent. Change nothing. Service and dining experience were spectacular.
We were greeted warmly and sincerely. Our service was great!!! And the food was fabulous. I would recommend Enza’s to anyone who appreciates fine Italian cuisine.
The food and service is always outstanding!!
A very friendly and attentive staff made every menu decision easier and worthwhile. My date's Fettuccine was rich and tasty. My salmon was well prepared and set off nicely by the vegetables. When I goofed and ordered the wrong cocktail, our server replaced it immediately with no fuss. Oh and ENZA herself visits every table personally for a cordial hello and feedback.
Enza's is a great neighborhood Italian place. The food is excellent and the owner (I'm assuming--he's an elderly Italian gentleman) makes his way around the restaurant periodically asking if everything is OK.
The food is very good--typical Italian-fare. This is an excellent place for pasta and dishes like Chicken Marsala. Not ideal if you're looking for steak, but this isn't a steakhouse. The bread is good, and the desserts outstanding! The wine--we tried both Malbec and Syrah--was OK, but not spectacular.
With respect to service, the waiters/waitresses are friendly enough, though quite slow. If you don't mind, especially if you're looking for authentic Italian service, it's fine, though it does lean a little on the odd side. 10 minutes to bring us bread is not normal, even in European cafes. They did the job, but certainly not stellar service here.
Overall, I would definitely recommend if you're looking for good Italian food, and we've been twice. We'd come back again just for the caramel cheesecake!
We Had a wonderful time. The food was excellent! We especially liked the escargot as an appetizer! Our service was very good and the ambience was exceptional. We been there before and really enjoyed our meal there and were happy to return for this special day.
Our initial table they wanted to seat us at was right at the kitchen door with lots of traffic. There were 7 open tables that could of been used. I asked if we could move and they did us to a better location. Yes, we did have a reservation. Food was just OK that evening. This was our third time there.
The food was delicious, appetizer, garlic bread, salad and entree. Service was good. Made a reservation for the day before Valentine's Day and was seated at a table in the middle of the room and near the kitchen which I thought they shouldn't even have a table there. The decor seems a little dated or old school but was clean and well kept.
Great food with a complimentary dessert for our special occasion
We have been going to Enza's as a family and or couple since she opened her own place. Love the food. Love Enza. Very happy for her that she is a real success...A long way from waitressing in her parents restaurant as a teenager...We have retired and moved to St augustine, but still come up and our grown daughter and family also continues to go to Enza's.
Food was very good, and wait staff was very nice. Noise level was a little high, and the furniture was okay, some tables actually had folding chairs. Food was good, all be it a bit expensive for what it was.
Professional service with great Italian fare. Highly recommend for a date night or any special occasion.
