Enza's Italian Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We had the most wonderful experience! The service was excellent. Ida is a very attentive and genuinely caring person. Very personable. The food was delicious - seafood over pasta. Yum. Everyone smiles as they pass by even if you're not sitting at 'their' table. We like that. Brian at the piano is a delight. Not too loud and a good variety of songs. The restaurant is very pretty and clean. And Enza and Mike are always available should you need anything else.
Enza’s never fails to impress with great dishes, reasonable prices, and friendly service. The meatball appetizer is a must! Delicious! We always feel welcome and special. Whenvever we are in Jacksonville (visiting from Orlando) we plan our trip with a visit to Enza’s!
Been quite a few times but was quite let down this time. Service was super slow. Food was just ok. My pasta was cooked terribly. A large party was sat immediately next to us and they were so loud that we couldn’t hardly talk ourselves. It was a disappointing and expensive evening.
I have been to Enza's before - probably about 10 times. It has always been excellent.
On this visit we had the Grouper Francesc. It was the very best Grouper dish I have ever had!
The waitress, Amanda, was perfect. All the employees were friendly and welcoming.
Great ambiance with the live music. Awesome server. But after a great start with appetizers, the food service took a big dive. There was over an hour between the 2 meals- kids lost their appetites & nobody except the poor server came to the table to address the issue. My reservation was for 715, the dinners arrived at 930- after I complained. Totally unacceptable. If the food & our server hadn’t been good, the entire review would be bad. After arguing & making weird excuses like “those smaller tables will get dinners before your large table”, the owner even said “There’s video monitors I can check to see how long you’ve waited (which is pretty crass in my opinion)”. I begged her to go ahead & look at them. She came back apologizing- paying for our appetizers & offering desserts. So, while kind that she made up for it, just goes to show sometimes arguing leaves a bad taste. Again, good food & service is the only reason I’d still recommend.
After dining in New Year’s and experiencing the crowds, it was wonderful on Tuesday evening. The food was delicious as always and the service impeccable. We enjoyed delicious cocktails from the bar and the bread was served fresh and hot! I had canneloni. The marinara is the best in Jax. Make sure to make a reservation unless you get there early. Save room for dessert!!
Enza's is a long time favorite local Italian restaurant with fabulous food, drinks and friendly staff. We went on New year's Eve and had a GREAT experience - even though the restaurant was crowded. They had a piano player who made the evening special. Nicely done for sure.
The food tasted fantastic-at least what was served correctly. The reservation was incorrect and they had to scramble to find a table. Then the waiter dumped a pitcher of water on my mother, next he dumped her martini, brought her the wrong dinner, messed up my father's dinner and then took an hour to bring us our checks. Food is good, but not good enough to deal with such TERRIBLE service! I won't be back.
My family was in for New Years. We were able to get in a fairly big family group on a days notice. We had a great spot to sit, away from the "romantic" side of the restaurant. The food was really good, and plentiful. We did not have to wait long. The service was good.
We went for a dinner date, came from out of town and had an amazing meal! The service was great as well. Overall, a perfect place. Real authentic Italian food! Highly recommend this restaurant. Wish it was closer to where I live because I would try almost everything on the menu!
The waitress was very nice, and new alot about the menu and their wine selection. I got the meatball appetizer. The waitress praised it as being the best appetizer on the menu. The meatball was rubbery and tasteless. It was one of the worst meatballs I've ever had in my life. I think I'have had better out of a can. Then I had the eggplant parmesan for my entree. It too was one of the worst I've ever tasted. The sauce was bland, and there was more bread than eggplant. At first the waitress served me someone else's dish, as I was about to cut into it, she took it right out from under me, and put the eggplant in front of me. I guess she must have given the original plate to another customer. We had the banana cream pie for dessest which was the best thing I ate at this place.
Great food and service! I have food allergies and the chef, himself, came to our table to address my needs. Then he created a delicious entree that I could eat that I thoroughly enjoyed. To top it off, he came back at the end of the meal to ask if my meal was good. WOW!! Talent AND customer service from the Chef!! Win/win!!! Will go back again.
Our fourth dinner at Enza's and everything was just right once again. Seems like we have settled into a pattern of dining at Enza's every two weeks. The holiday time can be a stressor for restaurants, but even though Enza's was busy with a holiday party (maybe an 18-top?) and sending out catering orders, the food and service were superb once again.
