Enza's is a hidden gem! We went there on father's day and were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. The food was excellent, very delicious, and freshly made. The server as very friendly and attentive. The ambiance is perfect for special occasions, date night, or a romantic evening out. Enza personally stopped by our table and chatted for a while to share the history of their family business, and then she even showed my husband around the whole restaurant. ☺ We will definitely be going back! Thanks for making our evening very special! 😊
We drive from Orange Park for our Italian food. We've been fans for over 10 years.
Best Italian in Jax by far. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Enza often drops by tables to greet customers. Recommend the Grouper parmesan. Calamari is also world class.
This was a great dining experience the food and staff were excellent!
We celebrated Fathers Day a week early.
We’ve eaten there many times and we’ve always had a great experience and enjoyed everything.
Saturday night was very disappointing- the marinara sauce was “burnt” or over cooked. The plates with chicken Parmesan actually had burnt/black red sauce on it.
Great atmosphere. Good and service outstanding. Our favorite place to have dinner in North East Florida.
The food was amazing - we got the Bruschetta for an appetizer and even though I am not a fan of goat cheese but this was incredible. Our entrees, were the seared tuna, my favorite and my wife had sauteed scallops. Unbelievably good. Cannot recommend this place enough.
We come often to bring friends from out of town, they always want to go to dinner at Enzas.Best restaurant Gem in town. You can always expect the very best food and service when you dine.
The chicken was very tough
Excellent, as it has been each time. We travel to or through Jacksonville occasionally and make it a point to go to Enza’s.
Sunday was perfect and very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Have eaten there many times and, as usual, the food was exceptional, the service good and no complaints. Mr. Wayne greeting the customers as they enter the restaurant is a very nice touch and he also checks at the tables to see if everything is fine. Exceptional restaurant.
The food, the service, the place = perfection every time !
Tried this place based on the reviews thinking it was going to be one of the better Italian restaurants, unfortunately it was not. If you are really looking for traditional Italian there are a few other restaurants in Jacksonville that can do a better job. The food reminded me of Olive Garden. I would maybe go back for the live music and a drink at the bar.
Got sick from ahi tuna.
The food was awesome and always great to eat here..never a bad meal
This was our first visit. We were very pleased and will return.
Best Italian food in town. Love the Chicken Caprese
I thought Enza’s was going to be worth it, considering the good reviews. I’ve had amazing authentic Italian food in the past, I’m originally from New York City and the food was just... let’s just say we were probably better off going to Olive Garden. I really wanted to enjoy this but I couldn’t. The service was good, our server was nice enough to get my date another entree because his chicken was extremely dry. Food wasn’t that good, from the garlic bread to the salad, service was great. But I will not recommend this restaurant or come here again.
We were seated in the banquet room. I don’t care for that room. No atmosphere to it and very loud. Difficult to have a conversation. I would rather sit in the other part of restaurant or even the bar than in the banquet room.
Love this place. Never had anything here that wasn’t perfect. Always a remarkable experience!
It was a busy night and pretty well packed, but prob always is on the weekends. Very nice, from the door in to the door out. Will def be back.
I recommend making a reservation as I tried twice w/out and there was over an hour wait both times. Food was good. The service was good, a little slow but we weren't in a rush. Nothing fancy as far as decor, seating, etc. Just a good, well established, Italian restaurant w/ a good local reputation. They have a strong following.
They made us wait for 45 minutes....most unpleasant
We have been here multiple times and love it every time. Amazing food!!!!
Made reservations thru open table and upon arrival we were seated in the far back in high kitchen/wait staff traffic. This table should not exist in an upscale restaurant, which it is. We opted to wait on another table which was 20 minutes. Every other aspect of this restaurant was a "10". Great food, service and atmosphere. Top notch establishment.
What a great dinner tonight. My wife and I celebrated her birthday and the night was perfect. When we walked in, we were seated immediately and noticed that chef owner Enza was busy filling in for an employee who had called out. She helped take and fill orders in the front of the house while directing her fine kitchen staff. Enza is a hard-working reason why her restaurant is such a success.
Our favorite server Meghan was sweet and professional as always and filled us in on her trip to Cancun. We always request sitting at one of her tables. Her memory for our preferences is amazing!
Enza came by and spent several minutes with us and made sure all was good even on a busy Saturday night.
And the meal!! After sharing an order of perfectly cooked calimari, my wife enjoyed the grouper Francese and I loved my favorite veal parm. A bottle of pinot grigio and a Caesar salad...it was all just right! And at meal's end, Meghan brought out a happy birthday chocolate tiramisu. We chatted with greeter Wayne on our way out, a great man who always makes sure our night is just right. If you haven't been there, you must discover Enza's!!
We love Enza’s!! Every aspect of an amazing dining experience can be found here!
Enza's has been and continues to be the best Italian food in all of Jacksonville. It's a surprising place the first time you go there in that it's a storefront in a plaza that doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside, the bar and restaurant alike are very tasteful. There's usually a piano player for happy hour into the early evening in the bar area. Just a quick plug for the bar...there's not a real lot of truly nice bars to go to in the Mandarin area that are "classy". This is definitely one of them. Nice selection of wines by the glass, beers on tap, and what I believe to be one of the best martini's in the city. It's also quiet and subdued and a great place for conversation.
On to the food. Everything is homemade. I've tried a number of things at Enza's, and have to say that nothing has ever disappointed. They even make several of their salad dressings (if you like blue cheese, you will absolutely love love love their version of this classic).
For dinner this evening, my dining companion had fresh grouper in a lemon butter sauce over pasta with a salad. I opted for veal with a delicious matriciana sauce (red sauce with sauteed onions and capers). Both were perfect. Instead of a salad, I opted for the pasta fagioli soup, which was perfect and frankly could have been a meal in itself. Suffice to say, mine also came with pasta which I elected to have served with garlic and olive oil instead of red sauce, so I ended up with dinner for the next evening.
For all that you get and the quality of food, prices are moderate. Our entire dinner, including 2 glasses of wine and a 20% tip came to just around $100.
One suggestion I will make is that you will want reservations. We went on a Wednesday night, and at 7PM the place was packed. Weekends are even busier, reflective of the quality of the restaurant and the food.
Needless to say, I highly recommend the experience of dining at Enza's and will continue to go back myself!
Awesome experience for a first timer. Totally recommend! The food is delicious.
Excellent food. Service was good. The hostess did a good job accommodating my special request of a 7th person joining me for dinner. Definitely the best food I have had in Jacksonville.
Great food and music as usual. Glad to have this fine restaurant in Jacksonville.
Enzas never disappoints! All around excellent Italian restaurant. Usually crowded, so recommend making a reservation!
My wife and I have been here before. We both love the food, atmosphere and piano music.
Enzas was amazing! We will be going back soon. I loved the Mater’d. This was truly an evening that I will remember forever... The seafood Lasagna was delicious and the mussels with scampi sauce was to die for
It was a lovely restaurant, the food was great. We will be back
Dinner with friends
We dine here frequently & the food is Consistently good. The seafood is always perfect-not over cooked. There are a variety of sauces for seafood, chicken, veal or pasta. Oso bucco is a regular off menu special.
As ALWAYS, a great meal, service, recommendations and overall a great time.
