This was my second time dining at Entree. My first time was with a large group and I was very pleased with the food, service, ambiance, etc. The second visit was with my wife and two kids (11 & 9 yrs.). I was just as pleased this time as I was the first. The food is very well prepared. The offerings are sophisticated enough for discerning palates while recognizable and flavorful enough for my finicky kids to enjoy. Would definitely recommend and certainly will return.
Our server was Christina and she was the best! She knew the entire menu and was able to describe the food to a T. And it was delicious! There was a special endive slider that melted in our mouths. The Hanger Steak and Crab Encrusted Monk fish were both amazing. Even the chef came out to make sure the dining guests were all satisfied. Prixe Fixe at $40 is a steal. This is a keeper.
Amazing dinner! Each person in our party of six ordered an appetizer, entree, and dessert and every dish was superb!
The restaurant and staff were great and super accommodating. They gave the mothers in the restaurant a rose and a little gift certificate for Mother's Day. Will definitely be back soon.
Dinner was terrific. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys BYOB restaurants
Wonderful, fresh and interesting cuisine. Excellent service. And great value.
The kitchen knows how to execute the food with just the right amount of flavor, portions are
more than adequate, presentation is nice, and the food is simply delicious. The duck was prepared
perfect and the calamari was probably the finest I have had in memory. Lightly seasoned, not fried,
and very fresh. Its a BYOB so bring your own bottle. Also very reasonable in price, approximately $40-$50
per person not including gratuity.
Food was very good. Very busy place, lively and quite loud! Wait staff polite and helpful just not very attentive. Would go back again.
The food was outstanding, well balanced and perfectly prepared. A cozy little BYOB tucked away in the city. The only drawback for some may be the noise level. Quite loud but you get immune to it quickly, just be prepared to talk at an elevated level to carry your conversation. Will absolutely go back!
This might be my new favorite BYOB restaurant.
PROS: portions are large and prices very reasonable. Order SLA Cary or in their PreFixed menus that have the same choices as a a cas
Entree was the perfect dinner. My boyfriend and I brought a bottle of champagne. Our waitress was so sweet, and opened the bottle and got us an ice bucket right away. The food was amazing. I order the duck and it was perfectly cooked. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the special of the day: spread lamb egg roll. It was good but nothing special. Definitely planning on going back.
First time here and I am a fan! Although very small and loud, the food and service made up for it! Had the $40 price fix... arugula salad perfect blend of ingredients and dressing. Scallops perfectly seared, moist and unbelievably flavorful! Splurged on fried Oreos and although didn’t taste like Oreos it was very delicious! We will be back for sure!
Not a busy night so the chef/owner cane out to speak with us! Such an awesome guy and delicious food!
Overall this was a lovely restaurant and dining experience. The food was outstanding and also presented nicely. We started off with the cheese platter then I had the veal and my boyfriend had the chicken. The service felt a bit rushed and our waitress did not smile but that’s okay. The ambiance and food made up for it.
We were disappointed that they were out of two menu options and the web site menu is not accurate so we were out of luck on a third option. The duck was very good but three of us ordered it rare and it was served medium (pink). The dessert were excellent - fried Oreo w/ice cream and the nutella cannoli. Next time I wouldn't go on a Sunday night and I'd call before going to check if the online menu is accurate.
Really wonderful. Highly recommend
Amazing food. Love this byob
Wonderful food. The server was gracious and attentive. Cozy atmosphere but a bit loud as expected on a Saturday night. Overall excellent.
I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO A FRIEND. THE FOOD
WAS EXCELLENT. THE SERVICE WAS GREAT. iT WAS JUST A BIT NOISY.
Outstanding food and great service!! The kitchen produces perfectly cooked delicious food where the flavors really pop using fresh seasonal ingredients. We had large party - all dishes for our group were perfectly cooked and executed with flawless timing. Fantastic menu offering variety of choices including meat, fish, poultry and vegetables representing a good value with high quality. The kitchen seamlessly handled food allergies for several in our party. The restaurant runs like a well tuned engine - a real hit for Philly. We are looking forward to next visit!
I was here because my boyfriend came into town and I thought it would be special because I came here once the week before and was great. But EVERYTHING was under cooked and was an issue- the breading on the shrimp, the pasta, the dough for the fried Oreos was not cooked at all and by that time I thought this was a major health issue. How can you serve raw dough? This was absolutely disgusting and disappointing. When I told the waitress there was no “oh I’m sorry” it was a straight “let me get you another one”
We got the tasting menus and it was AMAZING! The seafood here is so tasty. A great date spot especially for byob!
The service was fantastic, and the food was orgasmic. The only issue was that we were placed right by the door, so I felt the cold. But, it's a small restaurant, so it's understandable, and the corner is perfect for a table of two.
A good new addition to our favorites list!
Diver scallops were top notch. Great byob spot on south street
Food and service were great and lived the byob. It is small and we had to wait for our reservation down the street.
Everything we had was absolutely delicious. We all went with the $40 or $50 prix fix menu which is a reasonably good value. We loved the BYOB aspect. The only drawback is that the tables are very close together so we kept bumping or getting bumped by people behind us. And the noise level is very loud. At times we had to shout to have a conversation for a table of 4.
Stopped in for dinner before attending an orchestra concert. The restaurant is charming, small and the seating is a little tight, but quaint and comfortable. As we didn't have too much time, I ordered from the prefix menu and my friend only ordered an entree. I chose the calamari, duck breast, and affogato, while my friend chose the monk fish. The grilled calamari was well prepared with a delicious sauce. Both the monk fish and seared duck breast were delightful and though we had to rush the dessert, it also delighted. In summary, the food was terrific, the service as first class. The seating is close when the restaurant fills up and the space gets a little loud. I enjoyed the evening and thought is a perfect set up for the concert.
Great food -friendly service - a bit noisy for conversations
Love Entree BYOB. Warning that it is VERY small inside and if anyone in your party is very tall, it will be a problem to fit at the table.
Didn't have the best table, but chef made up for it by accommodating my menu changes. Food very good and waitress mice.
The food and variety are very good. Price fixed went up to $40 or $50 p.p. For appetizer, entree and dessert so it’s not “cheap” by any means. They really rushed us Sat night- in and out of there in one hour. We like it here but I would have preferred a little more time between courses.
It’s a really cool place with amazing food. Very small, but that’s part of the appeal. This place is a must try.
Love Entree have been many times. I was disappointed that one of the specials was 86'd before I was able to order (Veal/Lobster Special). However service was great and the fried oreos are phenomenal.
We came here for Valentine’s Day and were surprised to see a $75 prix fix menu. This was not advertised anywhere on opentable or the restaurant website. The most expensive fixed menu that Entree offers regularly is $50, so I’m not sure why this menu was so much more expensive for the same food. The food was prepared beforehand and refrigerated until served, so the plates were cold. Finally, at the end of the evening when clearing our table the waitress spilled a bowl of olive oil and vinegar all down my fiancé’s sleeve, ruining his shirt. The waitress didn’t even notice until I informed her of the spill. The restaurant did not provide us anything complimentary to make amends, so we were saddled with a $150 bill at the end for the worst dinner we’ve had in Philadelphia. We had been here before several times and loved our experience, but we won’t be back.
The prefix menu was great, the food had great flavor. The price was slightly higher than expected, but considering it was valentine’s day....was expected, even for a byob. The service was good; however, the waitress was accelerated, the experience felt rushed. Overall, the food, the restaurant and the atmosphere were pleasant.
Valentine's day is always overpriced, but $75/person is extortion for 3 mediocre courses. We didn't know that there was such a huge markup premium for the day and were less than impressed with the food and especially the price gouging.
Entree is a nice place where to have food curated in details, at you can bring your own wine, which helps the check. The food is good, there are few choices but they all have detail that makes them different from what you would do at home. Very noisy if you happen to have a group dinner next to you
Great neighborhood gem!!! We will definitely be back. We all enjoyed every course!!
