Love this place. The food quality, portion size and taste are excellent. It can be a price fixe which seems like a better deal. The problem is that you tend to eat more, especially dessert, than you might want to. I walked out feeling quite full, too full even. We all (4of us) loved our meals. Service was friendly and competent. It’s a real neighborhood treasure.
Overpriced for lackluster food.
This was my second time at Entree BYOB and it was just as good as the first. The service was second to none as they catered to all of our preferences. The waiter recommended the duck to me and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Don’t forget to get the fried Oreos as your dessert! This place is perfect for dates or small get together.
I loved the food here. I did the 40$ pre fix which makes more sense money wise. The duck and fried Oreos are a must. Will return
The food was great as was our service. They offer a la carte and two pre-fixed options, which are great deals. The restaurant is very very loud. They also have a few too many tables in the small space. I was seated near a door that lead to some sort of storage room, the staff had to keep sliding past me to get into the room. They need to remove a few tables....
It's a intimate space that provides a great a atmosphere and a quality dining experience. Lovely flavors, pairing and preparation accompanied by great service.
Terrific spot for delicious meal before concert or show. BYOB is bounus. Three of us did 3 $50 fixed price meals. Appetizers came quickly and were perfect. Grilled romaine salad was generous and had excellent sweet/savory dressing. Stuffed figs also delicious. Entrees were complex and worked well with sauces (lamb rib loli-pops with savory cherry and mixed veggies was my favorite). Halibut special and veal also good. Creme brule was fantastic.
Perfect meal as always. My favorite restaurant on south street!
Saturday was my first dinner at Entree, brought my family. The quality of the food was outstanding, from the fried calamari appetizer to the various entrees. We had the duck breast, the tuna dish, chicken, and halibut. All with perfect accompaniments. The one down-side of the restaurant - it is really loud. So, don't go their on a first date, or if you have a group of business guests that you need to discuss important plans with. Otherwise, a great dining experience!
Always a fantastic meal and experience at Entree. Duck was cooked to perfection and the veal special was amazing. A great BYOB that makes you feel special when visiting. One of my favorites in Philly.
Highly recommend! We enjoyed a birthday celebration for six adults and two children on Sunday evening. Food was outstanding. This is a BYOB. Wait staff was very accommodating to children. Great venue.
Good food but service was rushed
Our service was great and the food was amazing. Definitely a great place to go!
Great dinner all around...all 4 of us got tasting menu and food was delicious. Service also was great and we will definitely be back.
JT was our server, and he was awesome! Attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Best meal we’ve had in a very long time! Can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding experience. We went with a medium sized group and everyone’s meal was delicious.
Great dinner again. Server Kim terrific. Food well prepared
We had a great dinner. Lamb chops were amazing and my husband had seafood over pasta and it was unreal. We will be back.
My boyfriend and I always look forward to any kind of special occasion because we know Entree is where we will be celebrating. Not only is it BYO but the staff is friendly and accommodating and the food is out of this world. (Portion sizes are generous as well!) 10/10 every visit!
Entrée BYOB had a Valentine's day special, which was so worth coming here for. All the courses were phenomenal. Make sure you bring a bottle with you because it was BYOB. Sadly, we were running late and was not able to grab a bottle of wine to dinner but was still enjoyable!
$70 Pre fixe Valentine's Dinner. food was amazing. Service was deplorable. We had our second AND third courses delivered before we had finished our first. I asked if I was on the clock and the response was, more or less, "yes." We are not slow eaters, and at the time the restaurant was only half full. The staff made it seemed as though it wasn't in position to allow my eleven-year-old to only order an entree. If you want to drop $200 on a relaxing, romantic dinner I would say there are a hundred other places with better atmosphere and service for the same money. If you're fortunate to get better service you will probably really enjoy the food here. Everything was amazing. My eleven-year-old commented that it was the best fast food restaurant he's ever eaten at.
Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Def hey the deep fried Oreos!
Best byob in Philly hands down!!!
Three out of the four of us that went to dinner got sick. The calamari was overcooked as was our shrimp appetizer. This restaurant cooks with a lot of balsamic so beware if you're sensitive to acidic foods.
Entrees were very good. Loved the lamb chops and the steak.
went for restaurant week for a date night. Our waiter JT was awesome! I had the tuna, which wasn’t anything too special, but the zucchini cake that came with was great! My boyfriend had the pork tenderloin with crab which was bomb. The desserts were super good as well.
Great little place! In the heart of University City, this South Street BYOB offers creative cuisine at a reasonable price. We were there for Restaurant Week, so the menu was a bit more limited, but we felt as though we were offered a true representation of the normal menu. I highly recommend the cheese plate and dates w/gorgonzola as appetizers. I could have eaten a whole plate of the dates, in fact. The shrimp diablo, while on the mild side, was also tasty. I had the scallops, which were perfectly seared, albeit a bit salty. My friend had the crab crusted pork, which he loved. The desserts were also worthwhile - limoncello cake and creme brûlée. They tasted homemade. It's a bit loud in there, and cramped, but I expect this in a smaller Philly BYOB, and in fact, I welcome it. It's part of the charm of the city. Will definitely be back!
The food was exceptional, everything met or exceeded our expectations. Our server Steve was wonderful, if the food was just average his service would have elevated the dining experiences. We will definitely be back to this little gem!
Make sure to offer a glass of wine to the chef, who will most likely come to your table and have a nice conversation with you. But make sure it's a good wine :)
The restaurant was way smaller than I expected. The tables were pretty close together so it was a bit hard to get around. Putting that aside...the wait staff was very nice and attentive. They had great personalities and made sure everything was on point for us. The food was good overall. The butternut squash Alfredo was amazing and so were the desserts! I had creme brûlée and my boyfriend had the fried Oreos. Do try the fried Oreos 😏.
We went to Entree for Philly restaurant week.
There were many good selections on the menu& everything I chose was delicious.
I would definitely dine here again & would
Recommend it to others.
Awesome restaurant week pick! So happy we chose to try Entree. Great BYOB restaurant with unique but not over the top menu. Service was great and our server was so nice and attentive. I will definitely be going back!
I would definitely share the experience woth others on special occasions. The staff makes it easy to be social with ❣
Always a great time! The staff and menu is amazing.
Great food! tried some things I would not normally order (because I am a creature of habit) and was blown away. Delish- Everything we ordered was amazing!
When I first walked in I was taken aback at how crowded it was. All the tables were full and packed together and we found ourselves sandwiched between two different tables. It was really uncomfortable and we were asked to wait a few minutes for a table to leave before we were seated. I wasn't too happy but once we were seated service was quick and the food more than made up for how loud and crowded the restaurant was. It was some of the best food that I've had in Philly and the reason I would definitely recommend this to anyone for date night.
nice service. I got free but very nice wine. Shrimp is tasty
It was amazing, Kim was an outstanding server
Excellent dinner with a nice choice of options for restaurant week. Scallops and tuna were our favorites along with the chocolate cake and espresso dessert.
Small, but great food and service ,that's all that's important.
