Enso Sushi & Bar Ratings and Reviews
I went for a date/celebration and I would say we had a good time and enjoyed our food but I wouldn't rush back before trying something else. I would also say the service felt rushed. They got our food out quickly which was nice but also made it feel like they were trying to get us out the door.
Enso has a unique and wonderful variety of signature rolls, and completely raw rolls. Most of their rolls are very refreshing and perky and light. If you're the type of person who enjoys heavier rolls that usually feature some sort of fried elements, I think you'll feel a bit limited here. That being said I enjoy both and am never disappointed when I go to Enso. The staff is always very kind and extremely attentive which is always appreciated. I know they sport a pretty large cocktail menu, but don't skip out on the melon soda!! It's really quite delicious. I'd say my only complaint about this place is that because of its concave ceiling, the sound of other diners travels much more loudly than it does in a normal restaurant.
They brought out food as it was ready, so my friends and I all got our meals at different points. By the time I received my sushi, my friend had already finished her dinner. Although there was a 15 minute discrepancy between the first and last meals' arrivals, the restaurant did not offer an apology, discount, complementary item, etc.
Good is great and honestly continues to get better each time I go (I've been there about 5 times). Service, however, is worse. They seem more concerned to get you in and out and nickel and dime you more than giving you a good experience. Server brought appetizers and entrees at the same time and then forgot about us when a bigger party came in. We had to wait so long to order dessert that we decided to leave. Also, previously when you told them you were there to celebrate an event or birthday they happily gave you a dessert and a verbal congratulation. This time they did none of that (not even said happy birthday to my husband even though they knew it was his birthday). They are losing those small touches very quickly. Their byob policy has changed. They now charge $10 tad a corkage fee for a bottle of wine. It seems that it is all really about the money. Too bad.
I really like the dark dungeon ambience. It's really cool and unique. However when the place get's really pack, you would end up talking loud to your friends in order to hear each other. But anyways, the food was good and I would like to invite my friends here
i had heard good things about enso and finally decided to check it out on date night. its cramped and usually sitting next the the kitchen area isn't my first choice, but what an excellent experience. our waitress yoko was quite nice and even helped us get an off-menu item. very helpful in ordering and suggestions. id recommend it.
Love Enso! The pork belly appetizer was so good that my husband and I ordered two! Yummy sushi, friendly and fun servers, and such a vibrant atmosphere. Good mix of people too...families, groups of friends, dates, etc. It has become our go to sushi place for date night.
I have been coming to Enso Sushi for quite a while now with friends and family. And every time we have had a great experience. The food is great and so are the drinks and service. Also the ambiance is very relaxed and cozy, and the choice of background music is perfect. I have recommended this place to many people.
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Enso. The staples of any sushi restaurant - standard selections of maki - were excellent, and the special rolls were outstanding. Our waitress was spot-on with her suggestions. I don't know about all the cocktails, but I had the daring-looking one with sriracha and it was excellent (though may have overpowered the food if I hadn't downed it before it showed up.) An excellent find!
I have been to Enso several times with friends and family, and the experience was great every time. Its a excelllent place for sushi and the service is outstanding. Great ambiance and perfect choice of background music. And I have already recomended this place to friends. Thanks guys.
We live in the neighborhood so decided to give it a try. The decor is nice, BUT there are flat screen TV's everywhere. Not just at the bar, but all over the restaurant, and some sort of sports playoff games were playing. I could see this place having a cool vibe if not for all of the TVs. I get that people want to see playoff games, but they're generally not the same people going for sushi on game night. The appetizers and entrees sounded more interesting than they tasted, but the rolls were amazing. I'd definitely give it another try and stick with rolls.
