Creative variations on sushi, good service, and a great location. I’ll visit again.

This was our second time at Enso, but likely the last. We literally couldn't get service. Lots of staff running around, but none of them would stop by our table. We went to the bar to order a drink, but even that didn't get much response. We eventually left. Not at all sure why a restaurant would treat customers this way.

The food was delicious! Cool atmosphere, little too pricey.

Was slightly disappointed with the pork belly bun. The bun tasted like it was over-microwaved and was hard to bite into (not soft at all). The pork inside was amazing.. I wished it compared to the bun. The sushi was very good and fresh but slightly overpriced. I wish the booths had cushions because its very stiff and not very comfortable, I had to switch to a table that had cushioned chairs.

This restaurant lost its touch, they used to be great when opened.

The staff was decent As they forgot one of our rolls. There were tv’s everywhere which I found to cheapen the experience and was not expected as the picture of the interior did not show any TVs. Over all the sushi was good and the service was good but not worth a return visit in my opinion. The music was very enjoyable.

Sunday night around 6:30 it was quiet which was nice for conversation. Sizzling rib app was tasty. Pork belly buns a must. Loved Mad House and Romper rolls. Kimchi and pork belly rice and soup good. Soup needed to add a bit more ingredients. Topped off dinner with chocolate lava cake which comes with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Wonderful. Service was gracious and exceptional!! Will be back.

We went there on Sunday afternoon so the place was kinda empty. The service was super friendly though. I've ordered a drink called Despacito and it was really refreshing. We haven't tried any appetizers. We just ordered maki rolls. All of them were really delicious! Especially Mad House one which was recommended by our super friendly server. I would definitely go there again.

The first server was okay. We couldn't see her that often. We had another server later, and liked him more with his joke and service. Food was good. Thanks for letting us enjoy our early Valentine's day dinner.

Food was great, but the sound level is WAY too high that it is painful. The service was terrible. We had to ask to order anything. Our table of 4 took 3 hours for a simple sushi and ramen dinner. Unbelievably slow and terrible service. I would not recommend coming on a Saturday night as it's difficult to hear your own table's conversation.

The tv's playing the grammys kind of took the romance out of having a date.

First off, it took forever for the server to appear at our table. She did not deliver one of the appetizers and erroneously entered our order (received a roll I didn’t order). It took approximately 25 mins to get our food.

Had to point out the errors on the bill.

With so many great sushi options in Chicago, one strike is all it takes for me to never go back...

The sushi tasted very nice and the fish was of nice qualities. Good portion sizes as well. We had the restaurant week menu and everything was balanced well.

My go to sushi restaurant, haven't had a bad meal yet. Decent cocktail, beer, and wine selections, and a wide array of menu items. Love the electric eel roll.

This place was amazing!!! We went on NYE and they even had an early toast for the diners with free champagne. The food was awesome!!! We had the duck ramen, pork belly ramen, sizzling short ribs and the fried lobster maki. Everything was delicious and the server was amazing as well. We will be back!!!

Attentive service without being overbearing. It was a very cold night, and our waitress offered us hot water immediately which was unexpected but a really nice touch. My boyfriend and I both brought it up randomly a few days after. Awesome ambiance; the music was great and at a volume where we could enjoy it, but we didn’t feel like we couldn’t hear each other. Everything we ordered was delicious. I highly recommend the steam buns.

First time at Enso. Enjoyed the food a lot - all the sushi was good and so were the pork buns...actually, they were phenomenal. Good prices compared to other similar sushi restaurants. Staff was friendly and quick.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Enso. Very good service and atmosphere. Highlights of the menu for us included: veggie gyoza, soft shell crab buns, pork belly fried rice and red tuna nigiri. Will definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

Appetizers are excellent, gotta try the tokyo nachos! Sushis are okay. Waiters are extremely nice and friendly! Cocktails are excellent! I had the japanese princess!

The sushi is so fresh!! Great service. Really cool setting. Definitely coming back more often; it's so underrated!

I went for a date/celebration and I would say we had a good time and enjoyed our food but I wouldn't rush back before trying something else. I would also say the service felt rushed. They got our food out quickly which was nice but also made it feel like they were trying to get us out the door.

Enso has a unique and wonderful variety of signature rolls, and completely raw rolls. Most of their rolls are very refreshing and perky and light. If you're the type of person who enjoys heavier rolls that usually feature some sort of fried elements, I think you'll feel a bit limited here. That being said I enjoy both and am never disappointed when I go to Enso. The staff is always very kind and extremely attentive which is always appreciated. I know they sport a pretty large cocktail menu, but don't skip out on the melon soda!! It's really quite delicious. I'd say my only complaint about this place is that because of its concave ceiling, the sound of other diners travels much more loudly than it does in a normal restaurant.

We picked here for a girls night. Tables in the middle are better. Place is cosy, menu is satisfying. I may come again

Fast service and really friendly staff. Delicious food of course!

We had a 5 course tasting menu during restaurant week. We tried about 8 different dishes and they were all excellent!

They brought out food as it was ready, so my friends and I all got our meals at different points. By the time I received my sushi, my friend had already finished her dinner. Although there was a 15 minute discrepancy between the first and last meals' arrivals, the restaurant did not offer an apology, discount, complementary item, etc.

The waitress came to the table and interrupted our conversation 10 times by asking us questions. After her questions, we could not remember what we were talking about.

Enso never disappoints! It great for a date night or friends' get-together and also takeout! The sushi is unique and creative but most importantly delicious.

Great restaurant for a special occasion! We celebrated my birthday and it was a perfect venue for the occasion.

Fantastic place. After eating there more than once I have reached the conclusion that this restaurant has the best sushi in Chicago.
