Enso Sushi & Bar
With its friendly service and warm ambiance, Enso Sushi & Bar is an ideal pick for everything from a leisurely casual meal to a fun outing with a date. The drink menu comes with an extensive selection of liquor, wine, sake and Japanese beers. This restaurant is open Mondays through Sundays.
I noted it was a birthday on the reservation. There was no attention made to that or offering of dessert. Both the signature and the maki rolls were very small for the price. The bottles of wine were overpriced- even on “half-off bottle” Monday’s. Instead the $10 corkage fee was more feasible. The entire restaurant was open and another table was sat in the booth right next to us. The meal was way too expensive and I would not recommend this restaurant in the future.
Great experience and amazing food. We’ll be back!!
Just what you expect from a sushi place
Amazing serving and great food. We tried Lady Diane and Rising Sun sushi rolls, they tasted great. I’ve had better but the feel of the place plus interior plus service overall made it a great experience, would like to visit the place again sometime!
Our server was amazing. I forgot his name :(
I asked if he could stagger the rolls that we ordered so that they didn’t come out at once and he did it perfectly on one of the busiest days of the year (v-day). The hot buns were amazing and we ended up ordering an extra roll because the sushi was so good. Highly recommend
I went for restaurant week. Everything from starter pork belly wontons - skirt steak - amazing. Yummy!
Great place, really small and personal. Food is amazing with great service.
Highly recommend Enso. The service (Mack) was great; pretty much what you would ask for: knew the menu, made recs, and wasn't intrusive. The food was incredible. Lots of options for all foodies (we're vegetarian and had plenty of choices). The drinks were spot on and it was a great vibe for a Fri. night dinner. You should try it soon!
4-course lunch for $24 + Tax. Great offering for Restaurant Week.
First time trying. Went for restaurant week 2020 but will definitely be heading back!
Great service for being supper packed. Food was made supper fast
Great all around
The sushi was very good both taste and presentation. Also very well priced for chicago. Would eat there more often if I lived closer.
So let me start out by saying, I wouldn't go back. This might be a bit harsh, but I can break it down for you. It was a rainy Saturday at about 6:15, the place was only a quarter full. Our server came back literally every 2-3 minutes. I'm talking beyond ANNOYING. As if they needed the table for people waiting!? There was still 2 pieces of sushi on a plate and we had only been there for about 15 minutes, and one of the servers asked if she could clear the plate. No, you cannot take away the food we are still eating. We were getting interrupted so much, I asked if we could please just have about 10 minutes uninterrupted, we had our food our drinks, we were 100% good-there was no literal reason to check on us or interrupt us, and at the this point the restaurant was only half full. I wouldn't be going out of my way to write a review if it wasn't incessantly annoying. The sushi was B quality, the bao was pretty tasty, but the experience was just awful. I left them a comment card (since they gave us one with our check) and I thought maybe someone would come out after they gave us our credit cards back that maybe they would say something, but nope! There's better sushi places in Wicker Park
Gabe is awesome! He’s the server I have every time I’m there and he’s always so polite & personable. The food is great, the service is great! Love that it’s BYOB, too.
The decor was super cute, loved the chairs, murals on the walls, dim lighting. Was slightly confused by the early 2000’s music that was playing though? It was pretty empty and the loud jarring pop music felt bizarre contrasting the cozy romantic vibes of the place.
The food is always excellent. I love the atmosphere of this place.
Way too noisy. Service in general is okay to good. Tonight was a okay, but our server disappeared when it came time to get the check.
Great place to have dinner any night of the week. Friendly and badass food.
A great“Wicker Park/Bucktown trendy” sushi restaurant. Awesome food and a stylish yet casual atmosphere makes it a perfect spot for a date.
Love this place!
Great atmosphere. Go to sushi place for casual night out
Our favorite lunch spot!
Sushi was good, not great. Mushrooms on the grill we're tasty. Wine list was small. Overall a pretty good value.
Restaurant was crazy loud and overstimulating. Lots of TV's and music was loud (great 80's and 90's tracks, for what it's worth).
Fun place for a bigger group. Not a place to go if you want any chance of a conversation.
Arriving there we were seated and noticed that having a conversation was going to be challenging. Because of the unique curvature of the ceiling, the acoustics were amplified. The music was way too loud for a restaurant. And the choice in music was much to be desired especially for a sushi restaurant. So with loud music comes loud conversations which in turn made it difficult to talk to person across the table. The food was just okay there are a lot of offerings and a bit higher price point. I don’t mind spending more for good sushi but there was nothing special that would bring us back. I’m not saying to stay away-different strokes for different folks.
Great food and atmosphere. Great place for date night and groups.
Wonderful service, great food! Love this place so much. BYOB option is appreciated
Favorite sushi place in Wicker Pk/Bucktown! Food delicious but most of all service & staff kind and attentive!
Good food, quick service, great service from entering restaurant. Got us in early for our reservation! good cocktails!
Loved it! The sushi was excellent, loved the vibe of the place. Will be back!!
Service excellent & very friendly. Food delish!
Cute room with very comfortable chairs. Had edamame that was steamed perfectly and salted just right. The tempura was light and crunchy. Hubby loved the spicy miso. We had many pieces of sashimi as well as The Lake Shore Drive, Summer and Tokyo Sunset rolls that were all perfect and very fresh. Mango mochi was served split for ease of consumption. Our server was very sweet and kept our table clean. Loved it here. We will definately be back.
Service was not great but the sushi was delicious
Great food for great price.
Place was very busy, service was a tiny bit slow.
All in all it was a great experience.
Really liked the buy one get one half off saki. It was Valentine’s Day so it was busy but service was really slow
Love this place. Best bites of food imaginable. Great music. Still get to watch some TV as well.
Awesome service!! Great food... couldn’t be happier!
This is the second time I go here for dinner. Food is delicious and aptly priced! On weekends noise levels can be pretty high, making it difficult to hold a conversation. However, during the week days it’s fine. Ambiance is perfect for a date night.
Food was really good! We went for restaurant week and were able to try a little bit of everything. The staff was super accommodating and helpful with any questions/requests we had. The room is a bit loud but overall good ambiance. Will be going back!
Came here for restaurant week. The moment we arrived, the entire experience felt rushed. While our food came quickly, we were receiving 2-3 entries at once. There were times when we were still eating and they tried to take away our plates. We understand that the restaurant was crowded, but it definitely prevented my friends and I from truly enjoying ourselves. Nice staff and decent food, just not sure if i'll ever return.
