Good food! Good Service! I had a 7:00 reservation on Saturday and was seated right away. The grilled octopus appetizer was charred to perfection.
Great neighborhood Italian food restaurant. Cozy and romantic atmosphere. Very good food. Excellent attentive but not intrusive service. Energetic noise level. Easy to find. Good location. Reasonable prices. Excellent salads. Our table ordered mostly pasta dishes - all very very good. One of us ordered the fish (halibut) special and she said it was outstanding. The only reason I gave this a four star was my pommodore fresco needed some seasoning, garlic or something - it was rather bland.
Low key Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife.
Absolutely love it everytime we visit!
Amazing! First time here and the ambiance was so cute and quaint. Food was absolutely delicious! I recommend the bruschetta and gnocchi for an entree, I’ve been craving it ever since we went! Will be back again soon!
Really nice waitstaff and good food! Great neighborhood place and becoming quite popular! Great wine, too.
We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 meals. The appetizers were good. The food took 30 minutes to arrive and was cold. I sent the food back. The manager comped the food but didn’t offer a replacement. The service was terrible. They are understaffed. We paid a$76 bar tab for 5 drinks. Overpriced for margaritas in Houston. I probably won’t go back. Came home and had a pbj cause I didn’t get dinner.
This is our Friday night go to. Happy hour is the best value. Staff are lovely.
Great food as always
I had requested a side table but we had one in the middle which was noisy for the first hour but the food, wine and service made up for it and our friends didn’t seem to mind too much.
This has very much become our local “go to” restaurant!
Brought my boys (14 & 9) for a nice dinner. Had a 7:15 reservation and we were seated at 7:15. Service was a little slow at the beginning, but it was very crowded, so was slightly understandable. As the evening progressed the service was better. All the meals were prepared well and presentation was wonderful. All the tables were buzzing with conversation, so very good atmosphere. I felt a really good vibe about the place and my children enjoyed it as well. I would not recommend bringing younger kids as it is very much a mature dining crowd in the evening.
We had not been in years. Menu and quality of food has been greatly improved. We had the Bolognese and the short rib ravioli and both were very good. The Burratta salad was outstanding! Our waiter Joseph was very knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and perfectly attentive. Only positive negative was the noise level.
Awesome!! Nuff said!
Small outdoor seating area, but it’s far more quiet than indoors. Very pleasant with outdoor heaters when needed.
There is no reason to go to any other Italian restaurant in Houston. Don't come without a reservation, the tables are almost always full. The pasta is made fresh in-house and it shows. The options include everything from small portions and pizza to full dinners and off-menu specials. The wine list is ample and not as inflated as most other restaurants.
Great but very loud
Great restaurant. Tried it for the first time and it did not disappoint. The owner was hands on and extremely gracious. I will come back and tell others.
Service inattentive and smarmy
This neighborhood gem was a wonderful find. Food was excellent; staff was attentive. I will definitely be going back again and again.
Great food. Wonderful service. Looking forward to trying something different next time.
Best chicken Parmesan I’ve ever had!
We had not been to this restaurant in some time and wanted to go back. While not cheap, it has great food and some different specialties that you do not usually find in other Italian eateries. We booked on line,(earlier than we usually eat) and the restaurant filled up after 6:45PM. My wife had pasta bolognese and I had roasted lamb chops. We both had Caesar salad and 3 different wines. All were great. The wine list, while not long, is varied and good. The mark up for the wines do not appear to be quite as much as some restaurants in Houston mark their wines up. Highly recommended.
Another terrific meal and attentive staff. It was my Birthday dinner and I am glad I chose Enoteca for it.
I am Italian (born and raised) and I consider Enoteca Rossa the most authentic Italian restaurant in Houston thus far. My husband and I tried it on Friday night and had the grilled octopus (super tender and tasty), fried vegetables and then shared the asparagus and goat cheese risotto. I almost never order risotto in a restaurant outside of Italy as I am almost certain I would be disappointed but hey - it was better than some risotto I had back home! I am not an expert on cannoli but we had them and you could tell they were freshly made and absolutely delicious. I had the pleasure to chat with one of the owners and I can tell he has an absolute passion for Italian food. We went back few days later for brunch. To be clear - brunch is NOT an Italian thing. We inherited it from the US. The options are limited so i would not put this restaurant as a must-do Sunday brunch destination. Given it was already 1pm I ordered from the lunch menu and tried the eggplant parmigiana. A-mazing. What can I say? I have found my go-to spot for when I miss Italian food and cannot cook it myself. Try it!
This is my second visit to Rossa and I love this place! I rarely write reviews but the team of people they have there is wonderful. The service is great and everything I've tried is yummy!
Delightful evening! Noise level is quite high but energetic.
The restaurant was so loud, guests were practically screaming at each other just to be heard over all of the noise in the restaurant. We were looking for a quiet Italian restaurant. We ended up leaving and heading to Auntie Pasto's... they've always got the perfect ambiance.
We love this restaurant. All the food is excellent and the service is always great as well.
The food was outstanding. Service beyond amazing. Great authentic Italian food. Fresh seafood. Amazing wine selection.
I’ve been wanting to try this place out for some time and I was not disappointed. Food was simple but delicious and the service was very warm and friendly. Will definitely be back.
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the restaurant the staff was awesome and the food was delicious. We will definitely return!
Went to lunch with a friend. We both had a glass of wine & pizzas. One Diavalo and one Michele. They were good and wine as well. Service was excellent. Parking is always a struggle, but we both managed to get a spot. Cozy booths. One of my local neighborhood favorites.
Great food, good service, nice wine selection. What's not to like.
We had five for an early dinner before theater. Our waiter really worked with one of our party to ensure her meal met her dietary restrictions. The wine and food was excellent. Overall, it was an enjoyable and relaxed meal. I look forward to trying some of the other delicious offerings on the menu.
A real neighborhood gem! House made pasta along with wine and happy hour specials make this place one of a kind!
Again a very pleasant experience! Staff particularly attentive & professional
We arrived timely on a Thursday evening. The table was ready. The place was well known to us. That night was louder than usual. We were led to our table. The waitress was kind and accommodating. We ordered a glass of wine and double melted cheese. Apparently, a miscommunication took place in the kitchen and the cheese never arrived. Not a problem. Our occasion was special and we were very happy. We ordered meatballs and after a while waiting for them, the waitress came and apologized. She did not know they were no longer available. Not a problem. Our dinner occasion was very special and we were happy to meet for dinner. We ordered our entree: a ribeye and a salad. The waitress did not know if the steak was available that night. She took a while and came back with Good news! We could order steak. The plates arrived shortly. I ordered a second glass of wine to accompany the steak. It never arrived... 😞. Finally, we finished a meal and our excitement was brought down, not by a careless waitress, but by a restaurant without enough service in place. Our waitress tried hard. We even discussed the tip. I voted 0. But my wife and friend went for 15%. I think a tip is a reward for good service. We did only because of her charm personality and charisma. This time, one of our favorite restaurants really disappointed us. We will be back. But I’m not sure other customers can take that much. Hope this comment helps to improve the service and administration difficulties.
Food was fantastic! Server was super nice, always available and had a cheery attitude making for a great evening out! We will definitely be back!
Great as usual - great neighborhood gem!
This is a neighborhood find for us. We keep going back and are never disappointed.
Absolutely fantastic. cannot wait to go again. Service was A1 and food was perfect.
