enoSTEAK Ratings and Reviews
Temperature was cool enough for a wine cellar. Hot toddy drink was not good. There were more than 25 cloves in the drink and it tasted like clove medicine. The Wagyu steak was excellent and the service adequate but not great. Overall the dining wasn't worth it even at 1/2 the price.
I had the filet and it was amazing. Best steak I have ever had. The flavor was perfect. My girlfriend had the prime rib. Terribly delicious steaks. This is a perfect spot for a special occasion or just a fancy night on the town. The food, the wine, the ambiance is perfect.
This is a good high quality food restaurant with decent service. However, the chair seats are narrow, probably a decision to maximize space, and if you are a big guy like me, the type of person you'd expect to go to a steak restaurant, the food will be great but the experience an uncomfortable one because of the chairs.
The Ritz Carlton is a great hotel, especially during the holiday season. Great ambiance. The greatest food! But with "Harbor Grill" (a diner in Dan Point) service? I fully expect and happily pay top prices at the Ritz, including the $47 glass of wine. But I'd appreciate the respect of not having to wave at my waitress to get her attention when she walks by my table, or send a busboy to find her (twice).
Management is HORRIBLE. Refuses to honor the table we were promised over the phone weeks ago, based suddenly on our party size—which never once happened before—and also refused the server we requested. Then gives away the table we were promised to an even smaller party with the server we were told could not serve that table. ??? This happened TWICE. Two separate visits in a row!!! Enosteak used to be an enjoyable evening out. Now, Jason Henry walks around tapping his plastic security headset constantly and refusing to honor any reasonable request. (Basic requests like table or server preferences that were never ever an issue years in a row before he arrived on the scene.) Instead, Jason lies continuously about how "booked" the restaurant is when it's clearly empty all evening, cares nothing about loyalty, and heaven forbid one should comment that their $75 steak was subpar. Which it was -- all bone and gristle, not at all the quality Eno once offered in the past. Jason's only reply, without even waiting to hear the rest of the sentence, was to bark: "I WILL NOT BE TAKING CARE OF YOUR BILL." That was never even requested. But he is expected to do his job. No wonder Eno now sits half empty two of the most important holiday nights of the year. Diners have a choice about where they celebrate and spend their hard-earned $$$ in OC. Enosteak has become a terrible evening out thanks to the disturbing new choice in “management.” Best thing this place could do to repair its image and cash flow problem is to immediately remove this insulting character and replace him with respectable PROFESSIONAL leadership.
The steaks are on the level of the finer steak establishments in the area. Our filet was absolutely perfectly cook, it was so tender that a steak knife was not required and there was not a morsel left on the plate. My wife loves Brussels sprouts, l am not a fan but l must admit sampling a few l was surprised how their seasoning brought out great flavors. The restaurant is very small in size but when you factor in where you are, the beautiful views of the ocean from the hotel, minor inconveniences are soon over looked. And l love my wife
Great atmosphere and ambience. Food was phenomenal. We shared the tuna, both had the petite filet, the cavatelli, and yukon mash. It's hard to say what was better, the steaks or the sides. Drinks were on point. Service was as you'd expect - great as well. It was my birthday, so they put us right in front of the fireplace. Very quiet, even with a larger table that had a family with kids next to us. We will definitely be back.
We enjoyed the food and the service was top-notch. Only issue was the loud table next to us which cannot be controlled by the restaurant. Since it's a resort you get a different mix of clientele. We went for my wife's birthday and all of the staff made her feel special by wishing her a happy birthday and bringing her a complimentary dessert with candle. The valet is only $5 which I couldn't find anywhere online before going so I thought someone might find that helpful.
This is a fine steak restaurant. The steak was fabulous. My husband, not a meat person, loved his lobster scampi as his main meal. This restaurant is located in the Ritz Carlton Laguna. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a great steak meal in a lovely setting in Laguna.
We dined on a Wednesday evening in August, and enjoyed every aspect. The place is styled with complete class, and being within the Ritz Carlton adds to that. The wine list is replete with excellent options at all price points. From the beginning (bread, pate) to end (dessert), the food was extraordinary, well presented and perfect. From hostess to captain to the server assistant, everyone was gracious and classy. A perfect evening.
