Eno Vino Wine Bar and Bistro
Alway a delicious and special evening at Eno Vino. Downtown is fun but west is equally tasty and was the first place we became hooked on. Relaxed and cozy, great service. We always order prosciutto bruschetta. Tried Wild Salmon and short rib pot stickers. All were exceptional! Plus Ancho Chile brownie dessert for fun.
The food continues to surprise us! Very good and changes seasonally. Our favorite is the chicken skewers. Craft drinks are also great.
Compare to downtown 5 star this wasn't as exciting experience. Wine was excellent, cognac was cold and diluted, food was only a OK. Ambiance and service were really good. I
We have enjoyed many meals at Eno vino over the years and the food and service is always excellent.
All the dishes are flavorful and savory...prepared with consistency. The wine selections that are offered are outstanding ...and the option of ordering a glass with a small carafe for a second pour is appreciated. The atmosphere is typically busy, but the noise level is low in the dining area...nice place to relax. Seating and tables are comfortable although sitting position is a little low if you are under 5"8".
The food and drinks were amazing!
The food menu and wine list offer a nice variety and high quality good. Our server was attentive. The downside is that the tables have grooves routed in the tops that, unfortunately are full of crumbs and the detritus of previous diners. During the entire meal I wished for a small vacuum.
Great place for a date night. We went on a Sunday and took advantage of their half priced wine bottles.
Rated a 1 for food as we did not order any. We were there mainly just for the wine, wine flights to be exact; in which we were told 6 cups per flights upon reservation. But the restuarant really only offers 3 per flights. Not big deal! My partner and I found us a little disappointed after being seated about 20 minutes, waiting. The service was fine but over the top, as in the waiter and manager or owner (i forget who he was) was constantly coming over to chit chat and asking questions, I believe for the fact that they had sense were disappointed to begin with. It made it hard to have a full conversation with the persistent "service", not to mention the ambiance was great but the music was also over top loud which did not correlate.
Server was great: friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Food was good, not amazing. We liked about half of the 8 choices we made - and the cheese plate was (and should always be) a winner. I would go again, but they definitely have room for improvement on some of their menu items. Get the mini tacos. Our bottom pick, all four of us say avoid the calamari fries; the lamb empanadas were sub-par; the fries are, well, fries; the tuna tartare lacked something, but you don’t need to skip it. This restaurant as very loud at 7 pm on a Friday. If you are with someone who’s hard of hearing, it’s a problem; we asked for a table that seemed like it would be just a bit quieter, but were told we could not be moved.
The atmosphere is lively and the food is always delicious. A great place to dine with friends or a special date night.
We have eaten there many times and are never disappointed with the food or the service. It is one of our favorite places to eat. The Sea Bass and scallops are to die for, absolutely one of the best dishes anywhere. Everything has been consistently fabulous.
Did the 5 course Valentine's dinner and although the food dishes were decent, I really did not care for the restaurant's choice of wine pairings (with the elite wine flight). The second flight selection was a Rose that was almost undrinkable. In the future I would rather purchase a wine from the menu instead of allowing the restaurant to choose the wines. I was surprised that the server did not really know the wines.
Three of the meal courses were exceptional, but the beef course was overcooked and rather bland tasting. I will return to Eno Vino, but will not return to a special event as I felt the service was not as good as my previous visits.
The food is unique and tastes very good. However, the portions are high priced, so we don't dine there often.
It was great, as always.
We have been to Eno Vino Wine Bar many times, and as usual were treated quite courteously. This describes both the host and our waiter. The food was satisfactory, although we thought we remembered items that we did not find on the menu. Our greatest concern was with the noise level. Admittedly, the night was a busy one, with all of the tables occupied during our time at the restaurant. Nonetheless, we had difficulty carrying on a conversation with one another -- across a small table.
We would not hesitate to recommend Eno Vino Bar to friends, but might caution them against a Saturday night reservation.
We hadn't been to Eno Vino in years, but tried it on a recent Friday night. Most of the food was good - bruschetta was a stand out. Two dishes were terrible - potstickers (cold, gummy, filling was dry), and braised brisket (tough, well done, square of meat - implausible that it was actually braised). Service was okay. We will probably try the downtown location, but not this one again.
Eno Vino (West) was delightful. Small plates were all most unique. After Old Fashioned Cocktails at the horseshoe-shaped bar, the wine (Cava for me) hit the spot. Hannah, our server, was fantastic. Awesome spot.
Once again my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Eno Vino. It seems you can't go wrong on any of the food options. Some are excellent, others thoroughly outstanding. The sauce on the airline chicken was memorable. The short rib potstickers had amazing flavors and the mushroom ravioli so delicious.
These are small portion meals, but it works for us. We love gourmet food but don't want to go to a high end restaurant and pay ridiculous prices. Here you can try various gourmet foods and, although pricey, you've walked away trying a variety of delicious flavors.
Even splurged on dessert this time. Those we didn't share! I had the creme brûlée and hubby had the bananas foster. Awesome! I'm still swooning and the meal was two days ago--
Great food and service
I’ m actually more enthusiastic about Eno Vino west than my 4 stars. But this last time it was incredibly noisy (630-830 on a Thursday evening and the service was pretty slow. Our server, while very polite, wasn’t able to answer several food and drink questions. I’ll certainly be back ... but hope for a bit quieter and a bit more attentive care.
The “Hannah’s” were excellent - service was prompt, friendly, discreet, and seamless. As usual, the sesame tuna and the flatbreads were stellar; the apps here are as delicious as their presentation. Anthony’s welcome is as warm and convivial as the restaurant’s vibe - he stops by each table throughout the evening making you feel as if he is entertaining in his own home. Love this place!
Great choices a lot of times when you order tapas you go away hungry, not here. The Airline Chicken is fabulous, center cut filet is very flavorful. You look to see what others order at other tables and say trying that next time.
Lovely. Bit noisy adjacent to Kitchen but food great as always.
This was our first time at Eno Vino. Our server was outstanding. He walked us through the menu, gave excellent suggestions. The meal was paced perfectly. We will be back.
Terrific in every way; outstanding food, wine and service.
Great food huge (and very good) wine selection, we recommend the bruschetta, chicken skewers, and the deserts. In fact, almost anything on the menu is great!
Loved it! The taste of the food was superb!
Pretty pricey, but worth it🤗
Drinks were void of liquor for $10.00 a drink and I would never order a mixed drink again. Our items we ordered were excellent for one and so so for another and totally changed in quality over past visits. We felt you should have a change of small plate between at least one of the Entres! All in all for the high end place we were disappointed. The boat toast with scallops for $28.00 was void of flavor and in the past used to be delicious. It is way overpriced for the quality of the dish. We are not complainers but the place is not what it use to be. We can only come for a special occasion but I think there are better choices for next time. Sorry for the lousy review but it is what helps your business in the long run to know how your customers feel.
Great food and creative food.
We love coming to Eno Vino and ensure it is a stop while visiting Madison!
Always a wonderful time, comfortable, great service and wonderful small plates.
Second time we've been there in three weeks for a date night. The vibe is laid back cool, with a quiet yet lively bar area. The food is outstanding; I can highly recommend the tuna tartare, the sesame tuna, and any of the flatbreads. May I suggest the Tempranillo Museum Reserva 2014; they have healthy pours and killer wine stems. And we were lucky enough to get Matt, on both occasions; he is deft with the corkscrew, quick with a quiet suggestion, nimble while serving and clearing, and is a professional yet extremely friendly waiter - he alone makes the evening so enjoyable. It's as if he is quietly and magically taking care of you. Nicely done, Eno Vino!!!
Usually a great choice for delicious food, but not up to standard this night. Salmon was either old or over cooked or both.
Service and ambiance were great! Loved the unique cocktail offerings. The only negative was some of our food was not hot when it was served. Otherwise, food and drinks were great!
I could eat here every day. They tell me my review has to be at least 50 characters so I'll say it again, I could eat here every day.
My server was SO kind even though you could tell they were really busy. She even complimented my outfit and it was so sweet.
We love Eno Vino and dine here often. The only complaint I had during our last visit would be the music. They choice of music was almost techno (not everyone's cup of tea) and was playing quite loudly... so it couldn't easily be tuned out and the sounds/rhythms were annoying. Food and service were great, as per usual. We will be back again.
Great food, great atmosphere, great service. I can always count on a delicious meal when I go to Eno Vino - it's definitely a favorite!
Great variety of menu options and excellent portion size; just enough to sample and order other things without getting "stuffed". My only complaint was the noise level, but maybe that's because people were having a great time!
