The food was amazing!! Everything was delicious and service was great!
Always a great experience! Drinks and food are wonderful!
Not thrilled by the menu conversion to “tapas” style. I understand the “branding” decision and the economics of the decision, but still not thrilled by the move,
We were so thrilled to visit on the first day back in service. We have been coming both here and La Merenda consistently for years. I always get the Quiche Lorraine at Engine co. We were told that it no longer includes a side salad. I was really disappointed as I love that combo. I’m thinking it’s done to help the bottom line, but even a smaller version would have been better than none at all!!🙂
Hi Jane! Thank you so much for dining with us this past weekend, and providing feedback about our new menu. Upon changing our style to "tapas brunch", mimicking our sister-restaurant La Merenda, we no longer serve entree-style items. Instead, everything is served as tapas, or "small plates" meant to be shared amongst you and your guests. Please be assured we have adjusted our prices to reflect the change as well! And good news...you can still get an a la carte side salad with your quiche :)
Great menu choices, large variety, and devilish Bloody Hell (Mary). The crisp and slightly carmelized Red Potatoes + skins were amazing!
Angie was a wonderful server. Great atmosphere great food. Will definitely return.
The place itself is cool but the food is just average and they won't let you customize anything on the menu. I wanted the meat omelette but due to dietary reasons didn't want the potato that comes in it. They said everything is premade so I couldn't get it without the potato. I asked for just a basic custom omlette and they said they couldn't do that either. Frustrated I ordered something random and only ate half of it. I left brunch frustrated, hungary, and ripped off.
Wonderfully flavorful food choices, excellent service, clean facility, friendly people!
Our experience was exceptional. We went for Sunday brunch. The wait staff was very cheerful and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. Bloody Mary's were delicious. It made for a very lovely brunch. I will definitely be back.
The food was delicious, as usual. The interesting variety pleased everyone at our table. Love the atmosphere - it’s always busy and happy. The wait staff is fun and attentive. This is one of our favorite places!
Our experience felt very personal, the person taking care of us welcomed us back, which was great to know they remembered us from the last time we dined/celebrated our wedding at the location. The food was great, and we have fond memories of this place, and I'm glad the service helped us keep those memories fond.
Thank you!!!
Went for brunch. Service was fine- just busy. Food came fast and was hot and delicious.
The meat omelette special was really good - and there are so many items on the menu that sounded good, it was hard to decide which to get! Looking forward to going back to try more dishes.
Quite possibly could be the hidden gem of Walker's Point.
Delicious food!!!! Unique menu. The food combinations are like a party in your mouth. Fantastic service!
My absolute favorite brunch restaurant in the Milwaukee area!
Food and service is always very good. Love coming here
This was a birthday party for my daughter who goes to UWM. We traveled from Madison and found this restaurant via Open Table. This was a Sunday Brunch and we made reservations, and it mattered. Others in the restaurant seemed to be taking their time and lounged at tables. The menu is amazing, but ask your server how big the portion sizes are as one menu feature was the size of a side item. The food arrived warm, not hot. The Apple Pie Cakes are dense, filling and could be better with more cream and apples. The coffee was delicious and our server kept it coming. The restaurant itself is great and a neat place just to go and look around as it is a old fire house. I could see this place being insane durning the summer being close to Lake Michigan, summer fest, etc. Prices are not out of line and the host was great to walk-In’s and people that had reservations. A great find and I would try again.
Server and food were great. We had reservations so didn’t have to wait. I would recommend booking in advance if you don’t want to wait. We sat upstairs/ which was nice bc it was a little quieter for talking. Decor was cool!
Food was outstanding! Ambience, decor very good. Service was really slow, even though it appeared there were ample servers. Our server did not present the specials to us at all
Food was amazing, ambience is cozy yet a large place to accommodate lots of people. Make a reservation if you can! It’s worth it :)
Out of town cousin and 3 of us had a terrific late breakfast. I’d recommend ordering one of the specials. Our 3rd visit and they’ve all been great. We prefer upstairs seating.
Brunch was very good. Our waitress was outstanding.
First time visit. Food was tasty, loved the building
Awesome food.
Great experience, tasty breakfast, excellent service, interesting building, highly recommend. Dennis
Food was great, wide variety of options. Pork belly was phenomenal. Great bloody (coming in hot). Upstairs bar served as a overflow space, was cool spot to grab a drink and wait for table to be ready.
NEw years day. It was fantastic and the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
My son goes to college in the Third Ward. We love Engine Co#3. Just don’t think in advance enough to make a reservation. We are vegetarian and love the local produce farmers utilized here. Great standard breakfast dishes and really creative twists to the menu to make it interesting. Reasonably priced, especially if we can resist the great cocktail offerings : ) Love the beautifully restored history of this old firehouse. Great job Eng Co #3 !!!!
Charged for extra syrup and jam. Bangers and mashed not good. Polenta and Shrimp were tasty. Husband didn’t like the pancakes or the taste of the syrup.
The food was outstanding and portions were perfect...but the waitress wasn't very personable. We weren't asked how everything was tasting, she seemed very rushed.
Food is great though the cilantro rice was salty. I appreciate their more adventurous brunch items.
Love this place; good food, reasonable prices and nice ambiance. Always on my top places for breakfast/brunch!
Other than generous portions of simply delicious and creative food choices served with all the coffee one wanted by a cheery, informative non-overbearing young female waiter in an energetic, relaxed and contemplative space, why would anyone complain?
Outstanding in every regard. Great room, phenomenal food and service. Exceeded all expectation

The farm to table food was outstanding. Excellent Bloody Mary's. Layout of place was great. And our waitress was super. Wonderful experience.
Loved the idea of a Fire Station turned restaurant which intrigued my interest to make Sunday bfst reservation
Loved the place. The food was mediocre. Not worth a return trip or value
No 3 staff hit for the cycle -- friendly service, quality food and great ambiance.
With a menu that has unique offerings, the service was outstanding.
Food was great and we were seated immediately. Noise level was quite high
Food options were great and everyone raved about their breakfast. Will definitely be back.
