Our waiter Rob was extremely attentive and quick with a smile. We had a variety of apps including lettuce wraps, The Joe sushi roll and gnocchi. The Shea's show special dinner was also given a try and everything was very good! Definitely a great night!!
Excellent service and very accommodating! Drinks and food and service was very good!
Great food, great service. Large offering of drink options and nice selection of different cocktails. Great value and options for the 3 course meal.
I took my 9 year old great niece to a special dinner before a Broadway play. We enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. The food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and wonderful. Our server Emily was great. My great niece will remember this xperience for a long time. I will go back.
The food was out of this world. The service was great! The timing was efficient. We will definitely be coming back before shows at Shea's from now on, and their all you can eat sushi on Thursday nights!
Been wanting to come here for a long time. I was not disappointed. Food was amazing. Chicken was outstanding, strip steak was amazing. sushi was great! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Service was very good. Will be back!
We have been to Encore before the theater on previous occasions, and it's very convenient, the service is generally good, and we've enjoyed the food. This time, we decided to try the "All You Can Eat Sushi" special on Thursday night. There were a number of sushi rolls on the menu that sounded good, and we ordered an assortment. They arrived at the table promptly, some of them so promptly that it seemed like they must have been pre-made instead of being made-to-order. Each of the six rolls we ordered consisted of mainly rice, and not much of the other ingredients, and they all felt dried out, again suggesting that they had been made ahead. Pretty disappointing for a restaurant that emphasizes steak, seafood, and sushi. We'll be back, but we'll pass on the sushi.
We ate prior to going to Shea's. Their menu for this is perfect as all ordering is done at once, there is a good flow of courses and makes time management easy. The servers were friendly and on top of things. All in all a great experience.
Great place for before or after the theatre. Food was good, prices were reasonable. Short walk, just across the street.
We absolutely loved Encore! Everyone in the group had something different and everyone loved their dinner. Excellent service! Try it you will be so happy you did!
The food was very good and it is a perfect location if you are attending Shea's Theater.
Food was good but service was poor. Waited over 10 minutes for a server after we were seated. Not very attentive. At one point, we order drinks and never received them so we just asked for the check.
I always enjoy the lettuce wraps and they didn't disappoint this time. We started with the blue crab roll (sushi)...we've had better. My husband had asiago stuffed chicken and really enjoyed it. For dessert I ordered gelato but got the sorbet (luckily, it was good so I didn't complain).
Food is excellent. Had tried it before and liked it so much, went back during Restaurant Week.
Excellent food! Get the sushi if that's your thing. Perfect restaurant if you're going to a show at Shea's (right across the street) or an event at the Arena (hop on the Metro…a couple blocks away and it's free).
Food was excellent. Dessert (fried strawberry cheesecake) was beyond fantastic. Service was very attentive but never intrusive. Atmosphere and ambience added to the evening.
I was disappointed overall. The food was very salty and nothing special. The server seemed attentive at first, but then seemed to forget about us after we received our meal. And Encore makes Moscow mules with ginger ale, rather than ginger beer, which seemed pretty amateur. I won't go back.
The dinners from the Show Night menu were fantastic. Service was attentive until all patrons leaving at same time for the theater. One flaw... served burnt popcorn
Great spot for pre-theatre dining - service was fast and attentive. Everything was high quality. The house-made sorbet was my favorite! Great spot in the theatre district anytime - we also enjoy dining here in the summer on their outdoor patio.
Excellent place for valentine's dinner. Perfect setting, romantic, and food was excellent and well prepared
Perfect for a pre-theatre dinner. Pleasant lighting, nice food, good service.
We were greeted and seated upstairs in a timely manner. Drinks were ordered and arrived quickly. Our server was very personable and well-informed about the menu, as we did have a few questions. Food seemed to take a rather unusually long time to arrive, but finally did. Salads were wonderfully fresh and tasty. Burgers ordered by 2 were very satisfying. Chicken dish was plentiful and delicious. The only real food complaint was with the strip steak sandwich. It was medium rare as ordered and very good, with the exception of one end being total gristle. A few seconds of trimming the steak would have helped a lot! Also, the loud techno-style music seemed very out-of-place. We mentioned it to our server, who agreed with us, but unfortunately it was a music system and he really couldn't change it. All-in-all, we enjoyed our dinner at Encore.
Service was just bad and food was not plated well and it was overpriced on top it Robert brought me the wrong wine we will never go back
Overall a very enjoyable meal, however was disappointed that the steak ordered by a few of us wasn't very tender. Cocktails were good, and the rest of the meal was delicious.
We wanted a restaurant close to sheas because we were short on time. So convenient to just walk across the street! The food never disappoints and the show special menu is priced just right. Will definately return
A great place to go before a musical at Shea's or after a hockey game. The wait staff was very attentive. Starting with the hostess that greeted us at the door. The food was cooked to perfection. The scallops were delicious & the peanut butter pie was a great finish!
Atmosphere was dark and depressing. Instead of bread, we were given a basket of stale popcorn. The entrees were mediocre.
Awesome Restaurant & We Received Great Service!!!!
There are about 8 entree choices- 2 are beef- @6PM on a Friday night before an event at theatre across the street they only had one strip steak left. Wobbly table that couldn't be fixed-long wait between the apps and the entrees. Watched table next to us be served wrong order- 2 of them served with almost 10 minute delay in the other 2 orders arriving. 2 of our three entrees were over cooked- the last strip steak in the house was ordered medium rare but bordered on medium well- my guest had to ask for a steak knife- my husband's salmon was overdone also. Wait staff were uberbusy. We did not complain as we wanted to be on time for the concert- our third time here but I will not be back. Thanks
Stopping in prior to an event at Shea's, the staff was nice enough to inquire about this, and timed the meal to get us out in time, without rushing us. The duck wings were great, and the lobster gnocchi was very fresh. We were seated close to one of the fireplaces, and enjoyed the cozy feeling of the room.
