Literally an Emporio, the restaurant will sell a superior selection of quality Italian provisions offering Italian and local cheesees, artisanal and house cured charcuterie, raw bar, fritti, wood-fired pizzas, home made pastas and traditional Roman entrees. The menu concept is far ranging and flexible, allowing clients to design a meal suitable for their palette and their price point. In addition to traditional dining service, other options include a glass of wine with antipasti, a family style meal at a communal table or a pizza and prosecco break. Emporio, which means “local grocery store” in Italian is offering authentic Roman cuisine with an international flair.
HAPPY HOUR EVERY DAY AT THE COUNTER FROM 5PM-6.30PM
Enjoy discounted wine, beer and spritz cocktail. Snacks and full dinner menu available.
Great ambiance, friendly staff & even better tiramisu and espresso martinis!
The meal was excellent as always. However, we were seated in the front room where the conversation volume bordered on deafening.
Staff was really sweet and accomodating
Amazing warm and friendly vibes. Food was really good too especially the burrata pizza.
There is a warm feel to the place that appealed to me. My server was helpful but he was running hard keeping up with a lot of tables. I ordered only the squid pasta with seafood that was delicious, as was the bread and olive oil. My only complaint were that the tables are so close together you must ask the adjoining table to move to get out.
Best Kale and Brussel Sprouts salad in town. The skylight in the back room is perfect for sunny lunches/brunches. Overall the food is superb and the kitchen staff extremely accommodating for unusual requests. For us it is a goto place in the neighborhood.
Phenomenally tasty, homey, and fundamentally enjoyable food. Easy recommendation to anybody wanting rustic italian.
Emporio has to be some of the best Italian in the city. The corn meal pizza crust is to die for. 5 stars all around.
I love Emporio. Every time I go, it is with the intent to ball out and spend lots. Despite this tradition, their front of house continually elects to stick myself and company at a table too small for our dinning experience. It happens constantly. The song and dance is the same, the wait staff scrambles to make room and has at times hinted that we order less. Its silly, but an issue I understand is likely limited only to myself
We have been dining here for years. The food is always excellent. The menu is creative. The wines are fine. The service is excellent. The front room is cozy with the bar there. The larger back room is also great. Sometimes the pasta can be a bit drowned in sauce, although I had an excellent (not gloppy) carbonara a day ago.
We had an amazing time!
Starting with the kale, brussels sprouts salad with pistachio pesto and a Burrata Pizza... Came really fast and we devoured both (DELICIOUS!)!
Than my dinner was from the kids menu since I'm vegetarian and just really wanted a plain pasta with red sauce... They were really accommodated about it ans no judgment on the kids choice =D
For Dessert we had a typical Tiramisu, a HUGE piece... we eat it all! (has sooooo good!)
Thank you for the wonderful time and dinner!
Delicious food and great service! Emporio is cozy and warm. A great place to meet a friend or a colleague for lunch.
Nice and easy and the chicken salad was good, i wish the portion to go was a little bigger
We have been many times, have brought many friends & everyone loves. Great staff, food is delicious. Wonderful neighborhood find that I would go out of my way for.
My reservation was not entered as our having attended. There was an issue with my entree not having been entered. They did finally deliver my entree and kindly didn’t charge us for that.
We are regulars at Emporio. This was unusual - an off night. Usually it is a 5 star experience on all levels.
Good food, courteous and effective service, was a bit loud for my taste.
Emporio is always solid
The food at Emporio is absolutely excellent. I love the atmosphere and the food tastes so authentic . It is a must that I go here when I visit nyc.
So glad we went here. The out server seemed a little preoccupied with training so she was a bit slow. Other than that - awesome food
My date and I were treated extremely well through the whole meal (which was absolutely delicious). Server was attentive and host honored our reservation with a 20 min grace period during a busy time. It was a great brunch surprise for my partner. Beautiful dining room as well
We come here every year for our anniversary. Always great food and service!
Best pizzas of New York City. I am addicted to the prosciutto and arugula but the mushroom pizza is also delicious. Appetizers are great and the tiramisu is mu favorite dessert.
Great for groups and families. My family and I celebrated my aunt's birthday here. We had a reservation for Sunday at noon, arrived a little early, and were promptly sat at our table. Service was fast. Food was delicious. And the restaurant wasn't too noisy or crowded.
I had the loveliest birthday brunch! This place is the best and I’d recommend to anyone. I’ve never had a bad meal here. While everything I had was delicious, the prosciutto eggs benedict is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Seriously.
We loved it. There was a friendly welcome when we walked in. We had a choice of sitting in the front or back. We sat in the back, which was charming and comfortable. Some booths and family style tables. We ordered the pasta bolognese and squid ink pasta, both fresh and yummy. We also ordered their Marguerite brick oven pizza to share as an appetizer. It was delicious!! Will be going back to try their other pizzas. The service was friendly, professional, efficient and we really had a lovely lunch.
I’ve never had brunch at Emporio before, but in the future I think i stick to their pizza and pasta. The eggs Benedict was good but hard to eat - it didn’t wow me.
We were not all served at once. We ordered an appetizer that was served at the same time as one of the entrees ordered and after one of our entrees was served.
Pasta was outstanding! Service a little spotty, but pleasant. Not overpriced.
We have been there on a food tour so we wanted to go back. The food was very good but the service was just ok.
Hadn't been here in a couple years and had forgotten how good the food is. We had a lovely amatriciana with pungent guanciale and a smooth cacio e pepe. Both great. Plus a pretty complicated and very good dark chocolate dessert. Our waiter recommended a wonderful Umbrian red to stand up to it all.
:) fun night great staff. Delicious food. Would def do again
One of our favorite restaurants. Love it. Always great meal and great fun.
space fine; service attentive and helpful; cocktails and wine excellent and food perfectly cooked. noise level a little high, but bearable
BEAUTIFUL SPACE, COOL VIBE, GOOD FOOD AND WINE...GREAT PLACE FOR A DATE OR NIGHT OUT WITH FRIENDS
The food here never disappoints, the price is right, and the service is superb. Highly recommend!
We loved the welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We never felt rushed and spent a couple of hours catching up with our friends. The back patio is wonderful; bright and spacious. Portions are very generous. We ordered the prosciutto di parma eggs benedict and the prosciutto and burrata... excellent!... highly recommend both.
This was my second time dining in Emporio. The first time was very enjoyable so I invited a group of 7 people to join for dinner. My second experience was very different.
The service was very slow and the wait staff didn’t clear our plates between courses. They just threw the mains down at us moving our appetiser plates to the centre of the table. This was after a 25min delay between courses.
I asked the waiter three times to turn down the air conditioning as it was freezing and that didn’t happen. There were a number of people at different tables visibly cold and with pullovers and shawls on the to keep them warm.
Overall, and after having a nice time there the first time, it was a very disappointing experience.
Food took a long time to get to us. When it did, it was undercooked.
My friends andI loved our food and the service was excellent. Th noise level made it difficult to talk to everyone at the table. Our reservation was for 7pm. I have been there a number of times, but prefer to eat at 6pm while it is still pretty quiet.
