Literally an Emporio, the restaurant will sell a superior selection of quality Italian provisions offering Italian and local cheesees, artisanal and house cured charcuterie, raw bar, fritti, wood-fired pizzas, home made pastas and traditional Roman entrees. The menu concept is far ranging and flexible, allowing clients to design a meal suitable for their palette and their price point. In addition to traditional dining service, other options include a glass of wine with antipasti, a family style meal at a communal table or a pizza and prosecco break. Emporio, which means “local grocery store” in Italian is offering authentic Roman cuisine with an international flair.

One of my favorite restaurants in NYC!
I go with every friend and family member who comes to town.
Unbelievable. All the food was delicious and wait staff friendly.
Good wine and food - the Squid ink pasta was amazing!
Loving it since years & best meatballs ever.
This is one of my kids’ favorite Italian restaurant. We had early Mother’s Day dinner with my mom in law. Food was excellent. Service was efficient. We were very happy with the experience.
The staff is great and food delicious. The outside dinning is a little cramped. There is a nice skylight lit back eating area that will be great once most of us are vaccinated.
Great service and wine recommendation to complement the delectable food we know so well! Always a great meal here!
Great as always! One of the top spots for Italian in Manhattan
I have to change my review as it's now been a couple of times I went there and was rushed to eat to the point where you can't relax and enjoy your dinner.
If it was a fast food joint I would get it but this absolutely isn't.
Beware that your reservation is for only 1 hour and a half... that's completely inappropriate for a restaurant trying to serve a quality meal.
The staff really makes you feel that you have to hurry. Extremely uncomfortable.
Had the most fantastic birthday dinner for my boyfriend. Party of 10 was accommodated with quick, helpful, and amazing service. The ambiance of the restaurant is second to none. Not to mention, every plate we got was incredible! Highly recommend Emporio for any occasion. We’ve been there with just a party of 2. Same result, super happy!
Picked this place based on good online reviews and honestly I'm scratching my head. While the service and ambience were solid the food was pretty blah...not bad, just completely unremarkable. Pastas were barely average and the margherita pizza was worse than a store bought frozen...the sauce was nearly tasteless. I appreciate how hard the past year has been for restaurants, that's why I go out or order take out almost every night but sorry, I won't be coming back to Emporio.
We had a reservation at 5:30 and told us we had to leave the table for 7pm. That's a ridiculously short amount of time to enjoy a meal on a weekend. 2 hours should be the bear minimum.
Our appetizer special was delicious, and the gluten free pizza was good although not great. Our octopus was way too chewy and filled with sand (or whatever was causing gritty bites) and they took it back to their kitchen and instead of acknowledging the fact they tried to tell me it was how it was supposed to be (although I've had octopus there before and it definitely wasn't like that; and I have octopus often in other restaurants too). They didn't charge us for it but I thought their reaction was not good customer service.
Overall a good dinner especially given the asparagus special which was sensational which really saved the day.
Pizza is to die for!
Great as usual. Nice to be back. Fairly empty though due to COVID, but good for social distancing.
Food was pretty good. Artichoke in the starter was not good. Very mushy and not fresh. Host and server/manager were very rude. They wanted us to wait 20 min for a table we had reserved. Anything we suggested was shut down. They were very rude. Our waitress was very sweet though.
Amazing atmosphere and food!
Such a great place. A beautiful space, super attentive and friendly staff, and an amazing menu. Their cacio e pepe is my favorite in the city.
Was great! Fantastic service, good food menu and drinks. Bloody Mary’s were awesome , a little spicy, but good!
I’m a huge fan of Aurora in Williamsburg, so when I found out the same owners also have a restaurant in Soho I was so down to try it out!!
Overall it’s a very aesthetically pleasing restaurant. Very cute date spot. The food was okay, I like the menu in Aurora better. They still have the octopus cooked to perfection though! I tried the radicchio salad with blood orange and it was okay honestly, a bit underwhelming, my friend got calamari, she liked it.
The service was definitely lacking though, it was just the beginning of the night and the server already seemed kind of over it and almost annoyed. I ordered casamigos reposado on the rocks and she brought me a clear drink, so I asked her if it was reposado and she said that they didn’t have repo, they had only blanco and anejo. Okay excuse me what? Is it too high maintenance of me to expect you to give me this info BEFORE you go ahead and assume what I want to drink instead and serve me that drink??? I do think that’s rude and extremely unprofessional. That’s not really how it works. I ended up drinking whatever she served me although I really wanted anejo! It kind of ruined it for me a bit, I hope the service will improve, otherwise great spot.
Sitting outside for lunch, a warmer beautiful day in Feb was great. All the food we samples was very good, and you could eat healthy here if you must but the Pizza and Calamari also looked very good on the other table!
My gf and I have come here often for little date nights and we love it! the burrata and the pizzas omg such a good portion for 1-2 any day honestly. cute ambiance and nice drink selection
The service was okay, nothing special or great but nothing terrible. The food was just awful. Too salty to even eat
The ambience and the attentions were just amazing. Great spot for having a date.
It was amazing - love the service and food. Every dish is great. Plus, they always have great music (very underrated). Good ambiance - love the back room sun and the front bar.
Always a lovely experience. The food is fantastic and the service is wonderful! A+
Great food and great service! Was very warm for outdoor dining :) highly recommend
Incredible! Would absolutely dine there again. I recommend requesting to be seated in the back dining room where the sunroof is. Great ambiance.
This is the best place in lower Manhattan. Done.
Great food and service!
Emporio is a quaint restaurant with a welcoming and homey feel. The staff is super friendly and their outdoor seating is great if you want to catch views of the bustling city. The food was really good, especially their fluffy French toast and warm italian breakfast tea.
I love that they've gone electronic for payments as it is crucial these days with everything going on. I'd definitely go back and hopefully soon.
Great food - great outdoor setting on a charming street
It was fine. would eat again there again, just not running to go back. The apps were ok, the rigatoni was good
It was wonderful Saturday night dinner for two. Highly recommend the ravioli and anything with prosciutto.
Emporio is always great! We went for late brunch on a Saturday and while there seemed to be a short wait for outdoor tables (it was a beautiful fall day), we had our pick of tables indoors - very well socially distanced from other diners. The food was excellent as always - I had the burrata pizza on gluten free crust (I’m not gf but I actually like their gf crust better than regular - it’s so good! Try it!) and my husband had the Apple French toast with a side order of bacon. He raves about it which is saying a lot, as he’s not a big eater. Service was attentive and polite. We trekked all the way down from the UES and will continue to do so regularly.
Everyone is always so on point at Emporio. Every time we dine we have an amazing experience and try different dishes and pizzas- all delicious.
Took reservation was closed
Love the food, service, drinks, ambience! Everything is great without being pretentious!
Emporio is our go-to neighborhood restaurant.
The best food, service, and atmosphere! Love everything about Emporio! 10/10 would recommend
This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Currently seating is outside, but there is a perfect area for it right outside of the restaurant and a little blocked off area on the street. The burrata pizza is my absolute favorite. I know very few restaurants that do this, so I come to Emporio to treat myself. The wines are all exceptional and I get something new each time and always love it. Cacio e Pepe is also amazing, and you really can't go wrong with anything on this menu. Highly recommend for any occasion.
