Literally an Emporio, the restaurant will sell a superior selection of quality Italian provisions offering Italian and local cheese, artisanal and house cured charcuterie, raw bar, fritti, wood-fired pizzas, home made pasta plates and traditional Roman entrees. The menu concept is far ranging and flexible, allowing clients to design a meal suitable for their palette and their price point. In addition to traditional dining service, other options include a glass of wine with antipasti, a family style meal at a communal table or a pizza and prosecco break. Emporio, which means “local grocery store” in Italian, will offer Roman fare, wine and retail selections.
We have been there on a food tour so we wanted to go back. The food was very good but the service was just ok.
Hadn't been here in a couple years and had forgotten how good the food is. We had a lovely amatriciana with pungent guanciale and a smooth cacio e pepe. Both great. Plus a pretty complicated and very good dark chocolate dessert. Our waiter recommended a wonderful Umbrian red to stand up to it all.
:) fun night great staff. Delicious food. Would def do again
One of our favorite restaurants. Love it. Always great meal and great fun.
space fine; service attentive and helpful; cocktails and wine excellent and food perfectly cooked. noise level a little high, but bearable
BEAUTIFUL SPACE, COOL VIBE, GOOD FOOD AND WINE...GREAT PLACE FOR A DATE OR NIGHT OUT WITH FRIENDS
The food here never disappoints, the price is right, and the service is superb. Highly recommend!
We loved the welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We never felt rushed and spent a couple of hours catching up with our friends. The back patio is wonderful; bright and spacious. Portions are very generous. We ordered the prosciutto di parma eggs benedict and the prosciutto and burrata... excellent!... highly recommend both.
This was my second time dining in Emporio. The first time was very enjoyable so I invited a group of 7 people to join for dinner. My second experience was very different.
The service was very slow and the wait staff didn’t clear our plates between courses. They just threw the mains down at us moving our appetiser plates to the centre of the table. This was after a 25min delay between courses.
I asked the waiter three times to turn down the air conditioning as it was freezing and that didn’t happen. There were a number of people at different tables visibly cold and with pullovers and shawls on the to keep them warm.
Overall, and after having a nice time there the first time, it was a very disappointing experience.
Food took a long time to get to us. When it did, it was undercooked.
My friends andI loved our food and the service was excellent. Th noise level made it difficult to talk to everyone at the table. Our reservation was for 7pm. I have been there a number of times, but prefer to eat at 6pm while it is still pretty quiet.
Great pizza, attentive service, nice vibe! A good place to meet friends.
The brunch my friend and I had was by far the best I've ever had in NYC. All I can currently articulate is YUM--The prosciutto eggs benedict was unreal delicious.
It was so wonderful! Always my favorite place to take friends from out of town!
Great! Not one thing was wrong or out of place. A new addition to favorite restaurant list in New York.
Everything is fine!
Typical italian fare. I got the burrata ravioli- didn't have much taste unfortunately. Free bread and olive oil.
The service was poor. We felt we were not welcome which is not the feeling you’re supposed to have in a restaurant. And the food was really disappointing. I took a $28 entrée but the plate was not generous at all. I had a pinch of sauce and a few lettuce leaves
for a big piece of meat..
Beautiful restaurant (especially if you can sit in the lit up area in the back) with great food. Best pizza ive ever had in my option! My dad ordered the gluten free margarita pizza was the best I've ever had.. would even go for that one going forward!
Love it. Fresh. Menu changes in small ways. Highly recommend for food and atmoshphere
Emporio never disappoints the food is excellent and the service attentive. It always feels like a special occasion.
The food, atmosphere and service were all fantastic !
Really loved the comradely of our evening and to have the waitress and rest of the staff to be so fun, really excellent night
The pasta dishes are fantastic here! The rigatoni alla norcina and pappardelle bolognese are definitely worth ordering. I highly recommend the risotto arancini to start with. Pizza was also very good.
This is my third visit to Emporio and it was just outstanding as the last. The food is amazing, I love the atmosphere, and the service is always superb. Highly recommend!
Good neighbor place to have dinner with friends or date, food consistently good, busy night, service not great we still enjoyed our dinner
The pizza was undercooked which I was quite disappointed... but after remade, the pizza was amazingly good!
As always our time at Emporio was wonderful! The food is beautifully prepared without being overwhelmed by seasoning or oil .. the staff is very accommodating, the atmosphere conducive to a fun evening :)
A bit loud at times but that’s part of the fun ! Thank you for another wonderful experience !
Great food and chef Paul and his staff fabulous!
Delicios food, nice ambiance. I went with my husband and a friend and we all enjoyed our meal. We had a wonderful lobster risotto.
Located in NoLita area of NYC, this gem of a restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but there is bright, inner covered courtyard area that is just a delightful place to have a meal. It is a few blocks from the very touristy Little Italy area where touts are constantly trying to pull you into their restaurant.
I've eaten here twice. Really enjoyed the grilled octopus and lobster salad appetizers, but the star I think was the squid ink pasta chock full of shrimp and lump crabmeat. My friend really enjoyed the prosciutto eggs Benedict laid on top of burrata and toasted brioche bread. We'll be back!!!
Lovely space (amazing skylight!). Food was delicious but entrees took a very long time to arrive. Noise level also made it difficult to speak at a comfortable level. Overall great food but not sure we’ll return
Weak food and poor service will never work over time....
I had the prosciutto and burrata appetizer, rigatoni alla Norcina, and tiramisu. Everything I ate was excellent and the service was fantastic.
Food was wonderful - our group tried a broad array of the pizzas. Mine was the Emporio Margarita - delicious! Loved the crust. You can prob split a pie, though most of us ordered our own. The salads also looked delicious. Service was really friendly as well, and they made the extra effort to bring a birthday treat to someone in our group. Laid back for a Friday lunch hour though I'd recommend making a reservation if you have a larger group. The natural light that shines through in the back patio was very lovely.
Our local go to.
Good food and very friendly staff. Free prosecco as a birthday surprise was much appreciated!
Super delicious Italian food in a very cozy setting.
