Outstanding! Food was delicious, outstanding service and ambiance. Highly recommend.
Decor was good, but music was too loud to hear each other around the table. One does not hear such high decibels in restaurants in HK; sounds are usually from "silverware" hitting the dishes or people talking.
A stunning place! The beautiful decor and large open kitchen set the stage for this dining experience. We enjoyed a shared appetizer of delicious potstickers. He enjoyed the duck entree and I took advantage of General gau chicken that was a special. We shared sautéed veggies as a side. It was all very good. The chicken dish was so generous that it made me two lunches. The broccoli was amazingly fresh and cooked just right. We shared the desert special and it was good.
This was one of the best restaurants I have been too. The food was amazing and the ambiance was even better.
the food was excellent, loved the presentation and it was delicious.
the lounge part was crowded, but it was ok.
We will defiantly come back.
Empire is more of a scene than a restaurant, intentionally so, probably. It is large but nicely decorated, very dark, with thumping background of pop music and a club vibe. If you are looking for good Asian food, however, this is not the place to come. Dishes were pretty expensive and not very authentic or even well prepared. I would come back to go to the bar, but not for dinner.
We had a great experience. The cocktails were excellent. We even had a scorpion bowl and it was enormous :)
The duck dish and lo mein were excellent. The chicken Bao was outstanding.
Our server did great keeping up with us.
Looking forward to our next visit!
Food and service was outstanding!
Great food and ambiance but indifferent service.
After a friend referred us and reading the menu, we were looking forward to our meal. We ordered the Empire roll - which was amazing- but everything after that was just fair. We ordered two cocktails, two apps and two entrees and the bill with tip was $180. For $180, I'd like to be "wow-ed", and we just weren't. We ordered the steamed short rib buns which we oversauced and meh, the black cod which had more baby bok choy than anyone could reasonably eat, plus a bone in the fish, and the short rib entree which, while flavorful, was just okay. The meat was more like sliced steak than tender short rib. Our server and cocktails were great, and the ambiance was fun and upbeat. The food just didn't knock our socks off for what we spent.
It was my birthday dinner. Everything was really great
Excellent food and just ok service. Slow night and had to flag staff down for refill on water and to order additional food.
Food was very good. Appetizers were the best and impacted our appreciation for dinner. We should have just had more appetizers. Portions were ample and all the food was tasty. Music was a bit loud, and it was difficult to have a conversation with a group of 6.
Always excellent service and excellent food no matter what day of the week you go.
The food was really good but our hostess? Not so much. There was a confusion in our table and they made us move (and put drinks on the house for that, so I guess that’s nice) and got really edgy for us to leave once we ordered the entree.
Always great! Food is terrific. My party all raved and can’t wait to get back there.
Delicious! Great service.
I had arranged a surprise birthday dinner for my wife and her friends. It turned out to be more than expected. The drinks, food and music were awesome. The staff was so courteous and attentive ins spite of restaurant being packed. They raved about it for a long time after they were done. I would recommend this as "the place" for a good time.
Food, cocktails and table service were very good for dinner. The ambience is very nice and the space is quite large. However, the manager on the lounge side was unaccommodating. There is $50 per person minimum to sit down in the lounge and despite having just had a $500 dinner for 8 on the other side of the restaurant we were told a new minimum would apply. The tables in the lounge remained unoccupied right up until we left at midnight, so no benefit to either party.
When we arrived I was really concerned about the very loud music and crowd. So it was a great surprise to get to the dining room, which was comfortable and where it was easy to have a conversation. A rare find!
The server was helpful and available without being intrusive.
The food was interesting and excellent, if a bit pricey.
We had a great time there, I will go back.
Just one thing puzzled me: our entrees were served on normal sized plates but there were large serving utensils on the plates. There was no other plate to serve to, just a normal entree with huge serving utensils stuck in it.....
First time in the restaurant and we loved it. Food, service and low noise level were fantastic.
Super fun with familiar Asian fare at reasonable prices but served extra well prepared with fine service and ambiance. Try the chef's specials for something really outstanding.
Great food. Pretty restaurant. Nice people and service. I would like to come again.
I would not recommend this resaurany to anyone. The prices were ridiculously high and the food mediocre. Our waiter was good but the kitchen service very slow.
We came early on a Sunday (and one other time as well) as we had tickets for an event at 7. Super fast service and excellent food. The place is enormous but is broken up into various rooms quite nicely to not feel so vast. Great service... AND gluten free menu is top notch.
Wow, this place is worth every penny. Expect to spend 150$ for two people but the portions are huge. It's very different but just a wonderful vibe. I really enjoyed having my birthday here and would love to come back again with a group of friends.
Service is great. Food is excellent served quickly.
Very good food but expensive. Don't think it was worth all the hype
Gorgeous restaurant. Nightclub atmosphere. Felt like I was in Vegas! Food was fabulous as was the service. Will be back!
First time dining at Empire and loved it! Fresh sushi, superb service, and great vibe in the dining room. Will definitely be back!
Enjoyed every minute
We were receiving one of our cousins for the first time in Boston. She loved Empire just as much as we do! We were in Asia for the night and great music!
I loved everything, the service was fantastic, music was perfect. We really appreciated everything on this place. Thanks
Food is fresh and delicious. Service is good, a little slow on the drinks, but courteous and functional. Good atmosphere. Valet parking a plus.
The calamari is the best around. Light with a little of spice twist. Can't seam to go to dinner and not order it.
Never take a large party here!!! I booked a reservation for 14 people for dinner and had people come from out of town for a moving away dinner. We had such a negative experience that we got up and left this restaurant and took our party elsewhere.
We grabbed some drinks at the bar and waited to be seated. Once we were seated the waitress said she needed to check our IDs- so we all gave our IDs. She then said that anyone from out of state needed to provide backup cards with your name on them. As the NYC crew in our group presented their IDs and backup the waitress decided to take their IDs to scan them. Again, no problem. One of our friends from NYC's ID wouldn't scan - a large red X came through which means that the card's scanning chip is broken. The manager came over and rudely and aggressively told him that the cannot serve him due to his ID not scanning. Our friend offered up 6 forms of backup ID with his name, and we even asked if he could run it through the local PD so that he could drink. Not only was the manager not willing to try to solve this problem with us, he also handled it in an extremely rude manner. Our group is all 28-34 years old and very easy going, so after realizing that he wasn't willing to try to find a solution we said okay fine, he wouldn't drink and we would stay enjoy our dinner. Then we ordered two large cocktails for the table, at which point the manager said he wouldn't serve those to our entire party due to the one ID not scanning. Again, the manner in which all of this was communicated by the manager was extremely rude and unapologetic. At this point we decided we wanted to spend our money somewhere where they actually wanted our business and where we weren't being spoken to in a rude and disrespectful manner. We walked down the street and went to a different restaurant and the food was amazing! They also made us several large cocktails and we had zero issues with our IDs scanning and we absolutely had an amazing experience!
Solid food and service and lo mein was a little dry. But the potstickers and entrees were outstanding!
It’s not what I expected after looking up the restaurant online. The food was good just very pricey and I thought there were way more options than what was on the menu.
Love Empire. The food is amazing. We have eaten there numerous times with the same group of friends everyone loves it.
The food at Empire is delicious even though it is cavernous. Our waiter McKinnon was fantastic. Really as good as it gets for sweet personality and impeccable service.
