Operated by the award-winning Big Night Entertainment Group, Empire is a 14,000-square-foot boutique Asian restaurant and lounge located in the Seaport area of Boston, just steps from the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. It was good to be back at Empire after Covid hell (one of our Boston favorite restaurants)! The new menu didn’t disappoint. The food impeccable as always and our service David, was absolutely over-the-top! Try the chicken dumplings the spicy Korean chicken and the blue fin sashimi. For drinks try the apricot martini or the mai tai… They truly are not to be missed.

Sushi was pretty good and we got a decent amount for the price. The martinis we got were both excellent and service was great! Our waitress was very attentive and always made sure we had what we needed. We got the Buffalo cauliflower special to start and I got the red dragon roll which was a little too spicy for me but still good!

Made a reservation for 9:15 on OpenTable and arrived on time. The hostesses didn’t seat us immediately, rather they canceled or gave away our reservation and we had to wait to get a new one. I got the email from OpenTable letting me know I had a new reservation for 9:30. They didn’t tell us why they did this or that they even did it in the first place. I only know that we waited 20 minutes past our reservation for a table, and that I got the email about the new later reservation. When we asked what the hold up was they told us they were cleaning our table. Cleaning a 4-top does not take 20 minutes and that was a blatant lie. They gave away our reservation even though we arrived punctually.

The food was just OK, it was under seasoned and a little bland. The service was lacking, we could not even get soy sauce and our food was almost cold by the time someone passed by the table (not our waiter) and brought us some. We were not offered coffee or dessert, the check was just dropped at our table. There are many other restaurants in the area that have better food and much better service. Definitely not worth the price.

We went for a pre St Pattys dinner and really enjoyed the quality and taste of all the different appetizers and sushi. The ambiance and vibe was great too. The wait staff was a bit on the inexperienced side, but everyone was pleasant.

Great experience both in food and service. Very happy with everything. Glad to see this place keeping up great quality service and food given Boston Restaurants taking such a hit during covid. First time back in years. We took our two college age kids and it was a fun vibe for them. Will go again.

We live two blocks away and come here a lot. Tonight was a mess. We had a reservation but waited a half hour to be seated while others who arrived after us got their tables. Once seated, our service was beyond slow and spotty at best. Our server was barely present and we only ended up ordering a couple of appetizers because she never came back to ask if we wanted anything else. When we asked for a dessert menu, we were told there wasn’t any dessert. Kind of felt like they didn’t want us to be there. Very unusual as our previous experience has been great. We will wait for a while before going back, if at all.

Love this place, everything was great. The Salt-N-Pepper calamari was fantastic. The salmon with Jasmine’s rice was so tasty, the New York strip steak was cooked perfect over mashed potatoes. Energy was wonderful, this place never fails.
