Emmet's Irish Pub and Restaurant
Authentic Irish pub fare in a small venue reminiscent of many such establishments on the Emerald Isle. Very welcoming atmosphere, the cod was flaky, moist and flavorful, and fate was very reasonable. A real neighborhood gem conveniently located.
We had a great Sunday Brunch!! Staff friendly
Great food. Inexpensive. Very friendly staff. Great ambiance. Comfortable atmosphere. Great Live Irish music when we were there.
A Wonderful experience.
Good place to enjoy a meal on the last day of our stay in Boston.
This restaurant is a Dublin replica. The food, ambiance and service were outstanding. We would definitely return when we are in the area.
Nice pub in downtown Boston. Irish music and food.
Thank you so much! My party really enjoyed our time here. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. Thank you!
My husband and I went for pre-concert dinner. We loved the atmosphere. Food and drinks were great and the prices for Boston were very reasonable. Friendly staff and service. We will come again.
Disappointed that our reservation a moth in advance was listed wrong by open table. Mass confusion
Although I made the spot a month in advance
We went for a family lunch after being sworn in by the Governor. The waitresses were exceptional. The food was ordinary. I mean how can you mess up a hamburger. They figured out how
Great introduction to Boston. Was a relief to find a solid Irish pub for our first meal upon arrival. My salmon was excellent and hubby had fish and chips. Kids meals were just right and we thought it was a great value all around too. Glad we had a reservation as this place was hopping on a Thursday night.
The chowder was the best!! We all loved it. Next time we are in Boston you will find us there for dinner.
Good food, good service, good spirits... Not ghosts.
A good, solid picturesque Irish pub, with good beer and tasty food. The bar is quite special and something to behold.
This was a very mediocre restaurant. We came here after our original Valentine’s Day restaurant reservation got messed up. I think this would be a great place for drinks but the food was very mediocre. It is relatively inexpensive for Boston which is a good thing.
Shepherd’s Pie was delicious and flavorful! Onion soup was PERFECTION but bowl size was small! Would definitely go back.
Went on a weekday and the noise level was pretty decent. Didn't have to yell to talk to person sitting across from me. Even on a weekday, the place got filled by about 6:30ish.
I had the Sheperd's Pie and it was delicious! A decent portion for the price. Being in Emmet's felt like I was in Boston from long ago..it just had an old world feel to it that I really liked. I would definitely go back.
Great food and atmosphere with reasonable prices!
We made reservations for new years eve just bc it had decent reviews and it was close to where we would be spending the rest of our day in the city. We were seated immediately, server was extremely friendly and efficient. Food was authentic but they still had options for some picky eaters in our group. Overall great experience!
Very good as usual
Good Irish Pub with expected menu focussed on some traditional favorites (Guinness stew, Shepard's pie, fish and chips) but the big surprise were the large and excellent fresh salads! Excellent selection of beers and cocktails. Location is very convenient to the Park "T" stop. Tables are very cramped and the music is very loud, so be aware. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Great place. We were a large group. It was a bit crowded squeezing us in but the food and service were great!
Emmet's has become an annual get together for my wife and I and one of my godsons who attends BU. Take the train from RI & meet him there & look forward to it, the waitresses are the best and the hostess arranged a last minute reservation for us. Great atmosphere and who pours a better Guinness. God willing and the train still runs and we can walk the last mile, will be back again. PS, my godson has been back on a number of occasions with his BU buddies. And did I say, the food has always been great.
We made a reservation for a busy Saturday night on a busy holiday weekend and were seated promptly. Great dinner spot just before going to a show at nearby Orpheum Theatre. Authentic Irish neighborhood pub with friendly staff. A little on the noisy side and tables are small. But exactly what we expected for a pub atmosphere.
We booked for a 1pm lunch on Sunday, not realizing it was mainly a brunch menu (until 3pm on Sundays). We had some nice choices, though. It seems like the fish & Chips is the highlight of the menu. My daughter’s steak tips were a bit overdone & lacking in flavor. My Mum loved her fish & Chips. I had the “Rachel” sandwich, which was good, but not great. The ambiance is very nice, though-like your local back in the UK. Overall, a nice place, but needs a little improvement (flavoring of food). However, if your in the mood for fish & Chips alone, this is your place.
Awesome Christmas decor and music! Loved it, perfect for a December Friday njght
I was sincerely disappointed by the service level we received. Wasn't even at the restaurant for an hour before that waitress advised us to quickly leave or order dessert if we wanted because she had others to serve and was getting busy. Our drinks were served in broken glasses as well and when we brought it to the waitress attention she just rolled her eyes and took the drinks back and never gave us new or asked if we wanted something else after that and we were still charged for them.
I love going to Emmets - it's not expensive, is casual, is an authentic Irish pub, good beer. But I'm a vegetarian and made the mistake of ordering the stir fry. Who would order a vegetable stir fry in an Irish pub - my mistake! Service is very nice.
The food was great and the service by Orla Rebecca Maria was excellent! She was very efficient, friendly and gave us great tips on the food. I will definitely return to Emmett's!
What a find! Great prices, great food, great service. Was a 3 minute walk from our hotel, reservation was easy, was seated right away. Food was so good and such a great price, especially considering it was Boston! Chocolate martini was phenomenal. My only compliant would be that there was nowhere to put my belongings as we were on a hightop table and there was no room for anything. A couple of hooks on the wall would have been a help. Would definitely return!
Enjoyed the music - real pub feel- great spot to enjoy a bite before concert
Our group of 8 friends -- all over 60-- went to Emmet's for a quick bite after a group meeting. We had a great and fun meal. Two of our friends have hearing issues and they said that they could hear very well in this setting. Service was fast. Menu extensive and fun. We'll go back there again for sure.
The staff are so nice. Very attentive. Excellent fresh made foods. Onion soup and chicken pot pie was heavenly. Beef stew looked delicious.
The Irish coffee size is small. Presentation is poor and was not offered sugar. Otherwise. Excellent!!!
Very nice, easy and good pub with music and filling food
I was I. Town this weekend for a professional xo ferencelooking for aplace to eat. I found this review to be good and I’m so glad I followed my instincts and went here. The ambience was warm and welcoming. My reserved table was awaiting my arrival, and the menu was authentic! The band played wonderful Celtic music to seal the deal.
Outside of ireland, this is the most authentic Irish pub I have ever gone to! By all means get yourself there for a warm evening of delicious hospitality
Always a good meal here. It can be a little tight when it's busy, but staff are always in top of things.
A bit noisy, but this is a great nostalgic venue for sone very good food.
