Emma's Ale House Ratings and Reviews
I absolute love the free pretzels that come with a meal. Many places give free bread, but the pretzel thing is unique. They are very good homemade pretzels not those things they warm up out of the freezer. I have gotten the grilled chicken wrap here many times and loved it. The chips that come with it are also made here and very tasty. Today I ordered a fried chicken sandwich special that came with tater tots. I thought it was just ok. They have a pretty good beer selection and the food is generally pretty good. Other than the free pretzels and the reasonable price of $3 yo order more, I think the prices are a bit high for Pub food that you can get for about 2/3 of the price many other places. I do like Emma’s a lot, but I would come here much more frequently if the prices were a little lower.
Great time and food at Emma's as always! We love the short rib quesadilla as a family appetizer, or sometimes as a meal if you can fight off the rest of the table. :) Salads are fresh and healthy. Good beef stew and chicken pot pie comfort food. Nice beer selection on draft and bottle.
My husband and I went this past Saturday because to be honest there were reservations available and we wanted to go somewhere we had not been before. We couldn't be happier that we did. Great food, hardest part was what to decide on because we couldn't order everything. Service was great too, this is a definite keeper. can't wait to go back and try more items.
Good food. Loved the complimentary fresh baked pretzel sticks and mustard! Great service! I got together with a few friends for lunch. The folks at Emma’s were friendly, accommodating and did not rush us. Go with friends, family, a date or alone. You’ll love it.
Disappointing! Food and service both mediocre. The kale and romaine caesar salad had no kale in it (all romaine); the dressing and shaved cheese were just fair tasting The portion of salmon that I paid additional for, was very small. The wine (bottle of chianti) was a poor representation of chianti! The server was very inattentive...never checked to see if we needed anything after our food came; never even asked if we wanted dessert or coffee a the end. The ambience was fine and the pretzels and mustard at the start were novel, and the only thing I enjoyed about the food.
Always love this restaurant. Food consistently good and staff alway accommodating- had to add a person to my rez a day before and when I called they did so with no attitude or anything... so kind! Leave room for desserts, which are yummy, but that's tough to do cause the food is so good!
Service was horrible, truly horrible. We were there at noon on new year’s eve so it was not busy. The waitress never came back to check on us after table was cleared to see if we wanted desert. We finally after 20 minutes asked someone to send her over. Never did she apologize but rather just handed us a desert menu. I have gone to Emma’s on several occasions but will now be going next door to Sam’s.
Though everyone at my table enjoyed their lunches, as a vegan, the menu was extremely limited. The signature pretzels and veggie burger were not vegan, so I ended up with just a plain salad with no topping available. I would have appreciated some effort to accommodate this popular plant-friendly eating preference.
