Good food and service, impressed with drm checkbacks, will continue to go. Enjoy it there.
We still had to wait over 20 minutes for our table.
we brought friends and they truly enjoyed their dishes the fennel sausage was rigatoni ala mama , homemade meat balls with the dish.
With most dishes a salad is included which is very good.
Everything was very good, told the waitress we were there for lunch & had to get back to work, order right away, but our lunch came out 45 min later
Emilio's is an outstanding neighborhood gem. From pizza to full entree it's all excellent.
Great food and service
the food was very good so was the service. I had the chicken franciase which was very good, however the next time I order I will ask them to flatten it more, other weise very tasty
Food good. Pizza awesome. Unfortunately, the staff are not nice.....especially behind the counter.
Emilios has consistently been an excellent restaurant over the years. Great menu choices and food.
Noisy and bustling on a Saturday evening. We did have to wait about 20 - 25 minutes despite our reservation. Once seated, service was good. The bread basket is decent (especially the focaccia squares), and our food (two pasta dishes) was very tasty.
I haven't been in years, but look forward to going back and trying more of the extensive menu.
Good food with more than ample portions.
While their food is always great this is the second time we made a reservation and waited more than 25 minutes for a table. I understand it is a popular restaurant but the wait times for customers who made reservations is unacceptable. Customers who came in without a reservation were told their wait time would be the same as us who made reservations. They need to re-evaluate their reservation policy.
The shrimp and salmon combo was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Paired with asparagus and mashed potatoes (could have been a little creamier) it was a delicious and mostly healthy meal. I would order it again.
Food was very good but had an 8:15 reservation and did not sit until 9pm.
Took my sister here for her birthday I had not been here for more than 8 / 9 years, I told her this was one of the best restaurants for Italian food. We ordered up a lot of different things I have always loved the lasagna here but after the fourth bite I noticed that the whole middle layer of the lasagna was not cooked and felt like cardboard, not to mention the meatballs I ordered came nearly 20 minutes after my lasagna was placed on the table I could not get the waitresses attention I had to remind this waitress on three or four different occasions, first we had to remind her about the bread that never came the soda she forgot to bring for my nephew and the meatballs that came very late. When I brought the issue with the lasagna up to the waitress her reply was, "oh that's not good" I then waited another 20 minutes and asked her again if she had mentioned it to the Cook or the manager she replied " the manager didn't come and see you?" I said no I have been sitting here for nearly a half hour without a meal. So when it was time to receive the check she stated that the manager took the lasagna off your bill, are you kidding did you think I was looking for a comp I was looking to have a lasagna, so in other words I received a meal which was not edible and then I was comped for it I was never asked if I would like something else, this waitress was so clueless that I am surprised that she even got a job at Emilio's. I have always believed that if you get bad service and get bad food you don't return under any circumstances. Yet I still tipped her 35% but I can assure you she should not be working at Emilio's she was just very forgetful everything from napkins to sodas to meatballs and bread, I mean where did they find her. What a disaster of a birthday dinner for my sister. Just to let Emilio's know that I am an assistant to the restaurant critic for a major television broadcast company and I was hoping my experience would have been better at Emilio's.
7:00 reservation. Seated at 7:45.
Wasn’t our best visit, but Emilio’s is always good. Wasn’t thrilled with the Clay Pot Red Snapper. But then again, I’m not a big fish guy. What is always good here is the pasta and the Italian standards. So next time... I’ll stick to my usuals.
We had a very nice dinner.. our waiter was attentive and we were able to talk and hear ourselves. It was crowded so a reservation is necessary. We still waited about 25 min. There were no issues.
Good meal at Emilio's, service was excellent! Good value and nice atmosphere!
We had a reservation and did not sit for almost an past reservation. The food is always good but place is pa led on the weekend.
This restaurant has gone down hill. Used to love it. Hate the new menu
Not too impressed. Food was just okay. Service was average because they couldn’t keep up with the tables to bring a side of sauce or to take another round of drinks order. Probably won’t go back. There are better Italian restaurants around
I dont know the point of making a reservation there when they make you wait 30mins to sit you down. Not the place for a date where u can talk because its very open and close to other tables, with not much "privacy" and it gets very loud very quickly, but the food was good but for the price not an adequate amount
Try to get a booth. Table seating a bit uncomfortable. Service a bit slow on my last 2 visits.
Delicious, will definitely go back
Salad was served then less than two minutes later the entrees came out. Rush eating was not enjoyable . Pasta is served extremely firm.
Excellent Food. The baked clams are delicious as are the homemade pasta dishes.
Really good Italian food and the menu selections are great as well. The place was very crowded at 6pm on a Friday evening but we were seated right on time, not rushed and the waiter was great.
Love this place and the Skinny Girl Chicken! Our waitress was very attentive and the bread and food were delicious.
Had Snapper - better than many NYC High End restaurants - terrific waiter - great quality food
I have praised this restaurant in the past but they have not lived up to my expectations lately. We had dinner there . I ordered 2 appetizers and they were good. My husband ordered lasagna- one of his favorite meals- and it was a thrown together mess. It was not a baked dish but noodles ,cheese , meat and sauce in a pile on the plate . It was so disappointing that he didn’t finish it. This is the first time that has ever happened. I have also noticed that the lunch and dinner portions have gotten a lot skimpier. We prefer their sister restaurant Fanatico in Jericho.
Food was great as always. I understand it was an extremely busy Saturday night but hostess made no attempt to welcome guests and did not explain to customers that the reason why there was such a long wait was because tables weren’t clearing (customers were “lingering” after paying their checks). She would discuss this with other staff members but didn’t explain it to the waiting customers.
Eventually when tables did start clearing hostess then started seating people with either later or no reservations before us (and others with earlier reservations). Although we had a 6:45 reservation we were not seated until after 7:30 pm
Unfortunately we didn’t actually eat there. We left after still not getting to a table thirty minutes after our reservation. There seemed to be very poor control over seating- people with and without reservations were being seated and the hostess was unclear as to how much longer we would have to wait and how many people were ahead of us - it was chaos. Apparently reservations don’t mean anything.
Awesome food, great selection of foods and, as always, yummy pastas.
As always the food and service at Emilio’s was excellent. However, this is the second time our reserved table wasn’t ready. While a 20 minute wait beyond our reserved time on a Saturday night isn’t terrible, it’s frustrating to watch parties being seated ahead of you.
We had a 7:15 reservation through Open Table. By 8:00pm, we still were not seated. When I asked the waitress how much longer, she said she was unsure. Unable to wait any longer, we went across the street to Taormina and the food was delicious. Unsure what the purpose of the reservation was here.
Overall its a good choice for Italian food, they need to manage reservations better. Excpect to wait even with a reservation, we waited atl least 20 minuets to be seated. Long lines because the food is that good.
I've been coming here for many years now. Unfortunately the last two to three times it has been getting bad. Real bad! To start we had 6:15 reservations and arrived on time for a party of 6. We waited for over 45 minutes to sit until my wife gave the manager an ear full. She said why take reservations then have to wait over 45 minutes. We finally get seated in a small booth. Really! We didn't complain because we were so hungry.
Then the food came out cold or warm at best. Some dishes were not even for our table. You guys need an expediter to make sure food is ready and goes to the right table.
Or waitress was intend on making things better but she had no support from the rest of the staff. Many busboys breaking pitchers and plates on the floor.
I think before they sprouted up there 3 or 4 other restaurants service and food was much better. Owner was around.
I hope they improve, really use to like this place. Was one of my favorite places, hands down. Many other Italian restaurant that are in competition with them. They are looking to please the customers not drive them away.
We went on a Saturday Night. The place was mobbed. We had 6:45 reservations but did not sit until almost 7:30PM. Food is always good. The service is not.
