'Emilio's is a real hometown favorite among locals who stop in for a quick slice of pizza to go, or to sit at one of the high-top tables in the dining room and enjoy freshly prepared dishes like fried calamari, eggplant rolatini, and grilled chicken parmigiana. ' -Commack Patch

Emilio's Ratings and Reviews
I dont know the point of making a reservation there when they make you wait 30mins to sit you down. Not the place for a date where u can talk because its very open and close to other tables, with not much "privacy" and it gets very loud very quickly, but the food was good but for the price not an adequate amount
I have praised this restaurant in the past but they have not lived up to my expectations lately. We had dinner there . I ordered 2 appetizers and they were good. My husband ordered lasagna- one of his favorite meals- and it was a thrown together mess. It was not a baked dish but noodles ,cheese , meat and sauce in a pile on the plate . It was so disappointing that he didn’t finish it. This is the first time that has ever happened. I have also noticed that the lunch and dinner portions have gotten a lot skimpier. We prefer their sister restaurant Fanatico in Jericho.
Food was great as always. I understand it was an extremely busy Saturday night but hostess made no attempt to welcome guests and did not explain to customers that the reason why there was such a long wait was because tables weren’t clearing (customers were “lingering” after paying their checks). She would discuss this with other staff members but didn’t explain it to the waiting customers.
Eventually when tables did start clearing hostess then started seating people with either later or no reservations before us (and others with earlier reservations). Although we had a 6:45 reservation we were not seated until after 7:30 pm
Unfortunately we didn’t actually eat there. We left after still not getting to a table thirty minutes after our reservation. There seemed to be very poor control over seating- people with and without reservations were being seated and the hostess was unclear as to how much longer we would have to wait and how many people were ahead of us - it was chaos. Apparently reservations don’t mean anything.
As always the food and service at Emilio’s was excellent. However, this is the second time our reserved table wasn’t ready. While a 20 minute wait beyond our reserved time on a Saturday night isn’t terrible, it’s frustrating to watch parties being seated ahead of you.
We had a 7:15 reservation through Open Table. By 8:00pm, we still were not seated. When I asked the waitress how much longer, she said she was unsure. Unable to wait any longer, we went across the street to Taormina and the food was delicious. Unsure what the purpose of the reservation was here.
I've been coming here for many years now. Unfortunately the last two to three times it has been getting bad. Real bad! To start we had 6:15 reservations and arrived on time for a party of 6. We waited for over 45 minutes to sit until my wife gave the manager an ear full. She said why take reservations then have to wait over 45 minutes. We finally get seated in a small booth. Really! We didn't complain because we were so hungry.
Then the food came out cold or warm at best. Some dishes were not even for our table. You guys need an expediter to make sure food is ready and goes to the right table.
Or waitress was intend on making things better but she had no support from the rest of the staff. Many busboys breaking pitchers and plates on the floor.
I think before they sprouted up there 3 or 4 other restaurants service and food was much better. Owner was around.
I hope they improve, really use to like this place. Was one of my favorite places, hands down. Many other Italian restaurant that are in competition with them. They are looking to please the customers not drive them away.
Second time I had a reservation and they did not Honor it. I waited 45 minutes before . The only reason we had a table 45 minutes after reservation is because we spoke to the manager and hostess was seating all the regulars that had no reservation. Hostess was rude the moment I came in.
Requested a back room booth and a reservation at 7 pm. Got seated in about 15 minutes but got the table requested. Waitress was great and ver accommodating. Had rice balls with sauce as an app, delicious! Balsamic chicken with vegetables and seafood with pasts, both very good. Ice cream for dessert. A very nice evening on a date and good food.
I hate to say it but we were disappointed! The food was just not great. I've had the mammas rigatoni before and it was very good, this time it was mushy and bland. The server was not very friendly - just doing her job. We brought another couple with us telling them how good it was and we very not happy at all. Don't know if we'll go back.
The food and prices were decent. My biggest complaint was the 30 minute wait for a table after booking a reservation on open table. Open table showed availability every 15 minutes for a table of 6 people so we booked a 6:45pm reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant we were not seated until 7:15pm.
They do not honor the Open Table reservations. This is the 2nd time within 2 weeks that I had a reservation and had to wait the same amount time as someone who just walked into the restaurant and requested a table. The hostess is not pleasant, I understand it could be overwhelming but I do not need an attitude from her.
The food is outstanding but portions are small
