We really enjoyed this place. We flew in from the East coast to meet some family and friends who flew in from Asia; so no-one was familiar with the local food scene -- lucky choice! First, our server, Angel was awesome, friendly, patient, helpful! The food was great, for the first time in my life, everything we ordered was perfect, so much so, we ordered another round of everything. For the cost, we would have liked to have seen a little more octopus on the plate, but it was prepared perfectly. Enjoyed the cava sangria, 4 orders of the chorizo! It ended up $400 for 4 people including tip, but again we over-ordered a lot! All-in-all, we will definitely return when back in Chicago. Thank you for a great time Emilio's!

Daniela was excellent! Very pleasant, gave excellent recommendations and always checked to make sure we were happy with our choices. The food was fantastic! Each tapas was better than the previous one and all were delicious. Authentic flavors,the food tasted just like we were in Spain. Highly recommended!!

We just picked this restaurant due to proximity to the movie theater, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the innovative tapas, their variety and exceptional taste. Loving tapas, we went to most tapas restaurants in Chicago and suburbs, and this became our number one favorite.

The servers, bartenders and management were all very kind and knowledgeable. The happy hour specials were AMAZING!!! The mushroom soup was the best I've had! I am one of those people that like to taste this or that during meals. This place is heaven for that!

I went here with my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday. We had a great time. The tapas are excellent. If you have time, I strongly recommend ordering the Paella. On Sundays it comes with a bottle of wine which is nice touch. The restaurant has a cozy feel and it's never too noisy so it's easy to talk to your friends. I definitely would recommend this place for a fun night out.

I hope that our waitress was new. But she needs more training. She did not understand instructions nor get orders correct. And since her English was poor, communication was difficult. Someone tried to appease us with a free tapas and drink coupons, but we never heard directly from management. The service was fair but the food was good.

A little bit of Spain in Chicago. Tapas or small plates have been so misused and ruined by a generation of nuevo grub "chefs" who think all you need to do is combine fifteen ingredients, serve small portions and charge large prices. It's wonderful to see authentic places like Emilio respect the art of Spain and Tapas. With excellent, knowledgeable wait staff, wonderful wine list and not a bad plate on the menu, it's like a little bit of Costa Del Sol in Chicago. But don't tell anyone - I want to be able to get a table without waiting weeks.

Great tapas, great service! The tapas portions were larger than most places - two of us shared three tapas and that was plenty, and then we shared a dessert as well. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. There was a large party of about 20 seated near us, but the noise level was not bad. The weakest component was the red sangria - it was fine, but nothing special.

Found this in the area we were staying. They took our party of eight easily. Tapas based - the food was exceptional. We tried a variety of plates and then each had a main course. For sure try the bacon wrapped dates. Some of the dishes are on the spicy side so if that is not your thing be sure to ask. There were a range of specials which several in our party ordered. They were all excellent. The service was friendly and attentive. The staff were very professional. This would be a great place for business events in addition to private events and ideas I lived in Chicago would frequent it on a regular basis. I will bring my family here some day.

Our server Luis was amazing! Very helpful in describing the dishes, super quick both the server and the actual cooking, and accommodating for our first tapas experience. Super quiet and friendly on a Friday night. Wish I had room to try more! Great specials daily.
