An enjoyable evening with good food and good service. The ambience of the restaurant is very good too. However I was a little disappointed there weren’t more Portuguese dishes and drinks on the menu.
Excellent food, really brought us back home to Portugal. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Highly recommend !
As always, we had a lovely evening at Emidios! The food was superb, the wait staff is always very attentive, and we could easily hear each other talk. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Our table was ignored over and over. Multiple items forgotten or delayed. Ordered four appetizers. Three were overcooked and all four were just ok in flavor. The bread on the table was great but disappointed by the overall experience.
First time and enjoyed it very much!
We enjoyed our meal at Emidios. We had 3 in our party and each ordered an entree and had a bottle of wine as well. I noticed when making the reservation through Open Table, it mentioned each diner had to order an entree to receive the dining points, however, I received an email stating our visit did not qualify for points!
Delicious food, great environment. Will definitely be back.
Great hospitality. Excellent service and food.
Overall it was good....the food is a bit heavy but not too bad. I would come back!!
We selected Emidios for our Christmas Eve dinner and were so pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was homey and friendly, the service was perfect - not too overbearing but always attentive. The food was fabulous, especially our Clams appetizer. This was our first time at Emidios, but will not be our last.
Already planning a return visit as so many items on menu to try.
My favorite restaurant. All the food is fresh and delicious.
This was our first visit to Emidio’s and we were very pleased. The restaurant was decorated nicely and was cheerful, understatedly elegant and from the minute we walked in, we were looking forward to the evening. Our server was friendly, helpful and always available quickly. I had never eaten Portuguese food before but it was outstanding and delicious. We will return again soon and will bring others with us. As we were leaving, we met the owner, Emidio and chatted with him about his own history and the history of the restaurant. He has learned his craft well and used it to open one of the most enjoyable restaurants we have ever visited. Well done Emidio!
Excellent, had a wonderful time. Very good food, service, ambiance, could not have been better.
The food was delivered hot. Perfect, that is the way I like my food. Restaurants that I go to and food is either cold or room temperature I never go back. Even when you say it is cold they don't respond. The food was excellent well prepared and seasoned. I had the 'Arroz de Marisco' My date had the Paella. A lot of food but it was GOOD, even when warmed up the next day. This was an excellent find will be returning regularly.
Fabulous food, lovely ambiance. Do not go if you are in a hurry, but if you want an enjoyable feast, definitely go!
Food, service and ambiance extraordinary!!
Great experience. Service superb. Food awesome!
Brought 4 friends to my favorite restaurant and they can’t wait to return with more family and friends.
Excellent experience overall.
Food was amazing and servers were extremely pleasant. Glad we found it.
Food was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful with the menu. They were many selections to choose from on the menu and daily specials. The presentation of food was very appetizing. Portions were large enough for leftovers so it was a great value. We had the paella Valencia, specials penne la Panna, and strip steak with mushrooms. Garlic shrimp appetizer was very delicious. The sauce from the shrimp was so yummy I dipped the fresh bread in it too. We will definitely return to this restaurant!
This is the first time we have dined at this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations in every way. What a great find! We will definitely return. Everything was very good!
We had a thoroughly enjoyable time trying this restaurant for the first time. We will be back!
This place is AMAZING! The food is delicious and the service is OUTSTANDING! Family owned and operated. The owner's came to the table and shared how they came to open the restaurant. Will definitely return when back in Atlanta.
This family owned restaurant in Sandy Spring is great find, and the service and customer service is amazing. Tucked in the corner of a shopping plaza, it is a dining experience that you must explore. The owners are extremely proud of their food, traditions and restaurant, and it shows in the execution and level of engagement. We ordered the Caldo Verde and Garlic soups to starts, and the taste was outstanding. Hearty and filling. We followed these with the Camaro Ribatejana and Salmon Picata. The preparation and quality of the ingredients was superb. The seafood was tender and extremely flavorful. The experience did not disappoint. The lunch crowd is very light so take advantage of 3-star and 4-star dining without a lots of fuss and rush.
First time there. Pleasantly surprised. Food was very good. Everything made to order. Will definitely go back.
A hidden gem. Great service, personable manager, delicious Mediterranean food much of which is not typically found on Atlanta menus. Excellent Portuguese wine selection.
It was our first visit to Emidios and we loved it! Food was great! It is family owned and the family is so friendly and welcoming. Live music on Fridays! Highly recommend it! We will be back!
It was a great first time experience. The food was phenomenal and the ambiance was great! We loved the live music! Will definitely come back!
Located on the corner of an old shopping building we wondered what we were getting ourselves into. The restaurant is beautiful on the inside and the service was perfection. There was some live music, but perfect for the atmosphere and the volume kept low so you can hold a conversation. I'd have to say if you like Portuguese food, then try this place out. My date and I had a wonderful long meal and we couldn't stop talking about what a pleasant surprise this restaurant was.
Strip mall restaurant but excellent food from real Portuguese. I will eat here again.
My favorite place to eat in Atlanta area! The food is outstanding; fresh and very flavorful. The owners and wait staff are always friendly and efficient.
Wonderful restaurant. The food is so fresh and the service is friendly
We loved trying this cozy, authentic family owned Portuguese restaurant. I could tell there was that personal touch to everything in the menu as well as the restaurant decor. We enjoyed talking to Maria and her husband and chef, Emidio. The food was flavorful and exciting. The staff was friendly and hospitable.
We will definite come back to other items from the menu. High recommended!
Probably an off night. We’ve had excellent service and better food on previous occasions.
We both had the special, mahi-mahi, featuring a very large piece of fish, but the accompanying vegetables seemed as if they came from a can and the mashed potatoes from a powder mix. Other main dishes, pasta, were voluminous but unfinished by our dining partners.
Our wait staff was friendly but service very slow.
Most important they didn’t acknowledge our special occasion even though it was highlighted on our reservation.
Emidios is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is great. The family who owns it are delightful .
Emidios is a cute little Portuguese restaurant located in a rather tired shopping center. My son and I met there for lunch recently. I found the food to be very good and the service was outstanding. I would definitely recommend it.
My favorite restaurant in the Atlanta area. Authentic Portuguese meals. Wines you cannot find everyday. Family run.
