Shrimp sauted in a garlic white wine sauce
Grilled with sun dried tomatoes and capers in a brandy tomato sauce
Mussels in a Madeira wine sauce
Great food, great people. Very clean .enjoyed everything.
Second visit and the food was just as delicious. The seafood stew is my favorite. The deserts were fantastic. This is a hidden gem. I plan on using the venue for client luncheons.
I went here because it has 4.5 stars and a bunch of reviews, and I've never really had Portuguese food and thought it would be great to try something different. It should have been a tip off that they were offering 1000 points for a Saturday night. Nothing was bad per se, but, outside of the bread, which was excellent, nothing really stood out. We got the clams app and sausage app. The clams were really small but good and the sausage was fairly dry but the sauce was really good. My wife and I each got one of the veal meals. I wish I took a picture of everything. It's right off a 1990's menu and so is the decor. The veal was overcooked but the sides were really good, though something you'd again except from the 80's or 90's. Thin dry veal, steamed carrots, mashed potatoes and boiled or steamed cabbage. It's not all bad, the staff was very nice, the food had a lot of flavor (if you like garlic, this is the place to go) and it came out in a timely manner. The other oddity was that we had to order everything at the same time because "they get busy, and he (I'm guessing the chef) won't do it. I'm not particularly picky, but this was strange. If you're of a certain age, and this is don't like change, this is your place.
We were very pleased with are fast visit to Emidio's. The restaurant has a nice menu and some wonderful starters. The main courses are large and extremely well prepared. The garlic shrimp and linguisa starters were very good. The rice and seafood dish was very interesting and tasty. The marinated strip steak was cooked perfectly and was excellent. Very good deserts.
Great hidden g in Sandy Springs!
It was very nice! The owners were very kind and took special care of us. The wine and food were very authentic tasting.
Emidio's continues to be one of the best kept of secrets of North Atlanta. Located in an area on Roswell Road about as north as one can get in Sandy Springs, it is easily overlooked. The Portuguese cooking is sublime. Fresh and always innovative. It is a wonderful place to celebrate special occasions--birthdays and New Year's Eve.
Came to eat at this restaurant and was a bit hesitant. I’m not one to normally try new places but I was glad I did. The food was absolutely delicious and the quiet atmosphere allowed my wife and I to have a more intimate experience. My complements to the Chef and staff.
Excellent food and service. The owners are a joy to talk with.
Food and service was perfect. Love this family owned neighborhood gem
This restaurant is a gem, hidden in a corner of a shopping area on Rosewell Road. We thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp dishes we ordered. It is a family run business and that shows in the wonderful service provided. They really care about their food, customers and service.
Great food, the slamon was wonderfullly cooked. Appeared to only have one waitress so service was a little slow. Nice ambience. I would return for additonal visits
Always a pleasure to dine at Emidios. The Salmon Caprese was delightful in a brandy tomato with capers sauce.
After reading so many positive comments and recommendations on this restaurant, we were surprised and disappointed when we chose to spend our Valentine’s Day dinner at Emidios. The restaurant is tired and worn. They must have been understaffed as the servers appeared to be rushed and inefficient. A special Valentine menu was offered with few choices, and the food was ordinary. The chicken was tough and the salmon was rich, both covered in a similar looking brown sauce. Service was slow. We will not return to this restaurant.
I took my wife there for Valentines Day. We were seated immediately and treated very well by a middle aged lady (reservations for 6pm, arrived at 5:30pm). There was only one couple already in the building at that time. After that, the evening went downhill. The wait staff consisted of four young men. One served as a Runner (he was decent). The remaining three stood around as though they had never been inside of that particular building a day in their lives. The lady seated EVERY patron / couple and delivered EVERY check. Aside from handling these duties, she had to point to EVERY table in need of bussing and EVERY glass in need of a water refill. The three young men were the poorest examples of the mid to late twenties generation I’ve seen in awhile (I worked in law enforcement for the past 25 years. That’s no exaggeration). Pitiful!!! The food was very tasty, once we received the main course, an hour later, after ten other couples came in, ate and left. Shame on you Emidios!!!
There was only one server when we arrived, so she was hustling about attending to tables. Despite her workload she was still helpful in answering our menu questions and ensuring a good experience.
My wife ordered the Marisco which was very good. I ordered the paella that was a bit bland to me. I'll order the marisco next time.
The overall dining experience was very good, with attentive service and simple ambiance at a really good value for a quality meal.
Excellent Portuguese cuisine. started off with the Mexilhao Fradiablo, which were surprisingly large, and very tender. For an entree I had the Zuppa di Pesce, which was outstanding; in particular, tomato sauce was delicious and spicy. Excellent value.
Food was delicious. Very reasonably priced. A little slow on the food which wouldn’t have been a big deal if we didn’t have show tickets but was totally worth it. We will definitely be back.
Was very nice, white tablecloths, etc., very elegant, nice people
My visit to Emidios was with my staff. There were eight of us, including a couple of spouses, and we couldn’t have had a better evening. The food was unique and delicious and the service was excellent. I especially liked having the chef come to our table to see what we thought of his cooking. We will DEFINITELY be back. This restaurant is a hidden gem.
Great food. Great service. We love it. We take friends and family there for special occasions. It is a real hidden gem in Sandy Springs.
An enjoyable evening with good food and good service. The ambience of the restaurant is very good too. However I was a little disappointed there weren’t more Portuguese dishes and drinks on the menu.
Excellent food, really brought us back home to Portugal. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Highly recommend !
As always, we had a lovely evening at Emidios! The food was superb, the wait staff is always very attentive, and we could easily hear each other talk. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Our table was ignored over and over. Multiple items forgotten or delayed. Ordered four appetizers. Three were overcooked and all four were just ok in flavor. The bread on the table was great but disappointed by the overall experience.
I called this restaurant to make a reservation. When the Lady that runs this place answers the phone, she told me Don’t be in a hurry. It is a Dinning Experience!! Wow she was right!! Don’t be in a hurry when you get there and you will have an AMAZING Dinner. We have gone back there every week since we went there for the 1st time. 5 Star restaurant with 3 Star Prices
First time and enjoyed it very much!
We enjoyed our meal at Emidios. We had 3 in our party and each ordered an entree and had a bottle of wine as well. I noticed when making the reservation through Open Table, it mentioned each diner had to order an entree to receive the dining points, however, I received an email stating our visit did not qualify for points!
Delicious food, great environment. Will definitely be back.
