We had a very nice meal here on New Year’s Eve — too bad it’s closed.
First I’d like to say that the atmosphere is beautiful. The Sushi is delicious and the drinks are too bad either. I would not recommend the Caesar salad- it was very bland but the rest of our meals were GREAT!!!!!
Great as usual!! We are going to miss this restaurant!
Tchoup Chop offered excellent Asian-style cuisine and provided a great environment for a quite celebration. The waitress was very nice and even brought us a surprise birthday dessert at the end of the meal. With the Emeril name, I was expecting some unique dishes with unique flavors. The menu was very diverse and we had a great time.
Not good for a special occasion, my wife’s birthday. They said happy birthday at the beginning but no further mention. Service was weak. Our waiter upcharged me at every turn. Ordered a Manhattan and he brought me a Manhattan which I thought tasted off. Turned out it was an upcharge for Scotch. If i has wanted a Rob Roy I would have ordered one. Very weak service for the prices. Food was good but not great. Pretty weak experience for a $200 tab for 2 adults and 2 kids ordering off the kids menu.
The restaurant decor is beautiful! Nice lighting and seating is comfortable.
The service was a bit odd because the servers tried to be posh, but failed miserably. Using phrases such as, "if I may..." in an awkward way, "would ourselves like this..." which makes no sense. Someone needs to teach these young servers the art of the English language and how to speak it properly.
The food was mediocre and very salty. The ribs were the only good thing...fall off the bone yummy.
Overall disappointed with the choice.
We had dinner a couple if nights ago
Food was of very good quality as expected from dining there at previous trips to this hotel. However Service left much to be desired. I had no idea who our actual Waiter was as there were 3 -4 different people servicing our table. All of them were "nice" but none of them as attentive as an actual waiter for a restaurant of this caliber should be. It was a busy wknd so i can understand some of the chaos , but still not what i expected for a venue of this kind. Food on other hand was extremely tasty.
Christmas Day ! Supposed to be a good dinner with my husband and toddler. Let me talk about the food first. Spam musubi! The worst version they made. I don’t understand why change the original ingredients and how to make it. It was disappointing especially for the price. The rice was not even sticky rice and just plain steamed rice. Second, my husband’s prime rib. Who puts sweet sauce on a prime rib? Again, make it simple and make sure when you change it up or add sauce to it, it’s good! My husband loves steak and he couldn’t even eat 1/4 of it. He kept telling himself while eating it that he’d get used to it. The waiter even agreed it’s not good. Lastly, my daughter’s food portion was so small. Please don’t tell me a big child would be full in that small amount of food. Plus the food was cold and my toddler didn’t even want to eat it.
Another issue, we overhead our waiter talking to the table next to us that he’s leaving the restaurant and that he’s going to a much better place. Who says that ? He’s carrying the brand and he goes and tells the guests about leaving the restaurant for another one at Disney springs?
It was a horrible experience and we know not to go back. Food was low quality and overpriced!
Celebrated our 10th Wedding anniversary. Came here on our honeymoon. Food and service were great! Thank you!
Very slow, ineffective service. The place was at 1/3 capacity and it still took 30+ minutes to get a drink. They brought the food in 1 hour, all dishes at once, half of them cold. Dishes were nicely prepared but the mood was spoiled by then.
Went for Holiday gathering... good food and service!
Don't bother, they are closing down on the 31st, so they literally have nothing left. We ordered hot sake and beers, he comes back with our beers then proceeds to tell us they were out of hot sake and not getting anymore in. Then they didn't serve us the usual "shrimpchips" The waiter's attitude was to be expected I guess since they were losing their jobs, but the place was not busy at all and he stopped by our table maybe once to check on us. My son-in-law ordered the tuna steak, medium rare and it came out over done. Needless to say, the entire experience was less than spectacular and I hope no one is planning on going their for New Years, they may have nothing left. Just very poor and sad, as it is a beautiful restaurant, but obviously someone is not managing it well enough for it to be kept open.
the restaurants food was good but possibly due to the fact that it was closing it had limited selections. As a for instance they were out of the liquour and beer that we selected from the menu.
When we changed out selection to sake they literally had to substitute and wash new cups for refills. The servers did their best but the experience was lacking.
I got the blacked scallops. They were excellent, but way too pricey for the small amount that came on the plate. The other two guest's selections were only average for quality. Not very impressed.
Celebrity dining at its best. Each dish was outstanding. The seared tuna was the best ever. The sauted scallops were perfectly cooked and well sauced. Drinks from bar were excellent. This exceeded our expectations
Restaurant was lovely. Parking in the self park parking lot was horrible. Took 40 minutes to get someone to open the turnstile because we weren’t staying at the hotel, and Emeril’s had run out of parking vouchers. Park with the valet!
I didn’t know the restaurant was inside a Universal Studios Hotel. I felt a little super tourist . The service was good, but to informal and the other guests were horrible dressed and is kind of loudly. The food was good but I feel is kind of pricey to be a tourist hotel restaurant.
I am a foodie and frequent Universal Resorts. I love a good meal and have eaten at many restaurants from Coast to Coast. I had dinner with my husband and two of my grandchildren. The bill with 20% tip was somewhere around $165.00 for 1 free appetiser, 2 coctails, 2 children drinks, and 4 antres (no desert). That comes to $40.00 pp.. What ordered two cheft specials (fish with lobster stuffing). It was a huge dissapointment. I didn't expect a lot of lobster, but I did expect to identify the stuffing and a slight lobster taste. My granddaughter had shrimp with pasta and my grandson had skirt steak. They were ok. Nothing to rave about, but not bad. The price was fine if the food and service was decent. I do not remark at the resturaunts or complain infront of the children, because I want them to realize that you can just "not go back next time." The burgers we had at Twin Peaks were more satifying and a fraction of the price. The service was poor. The server did not seam to know when to check on her tables. We often waited and did not see her in the room. We asked for shrimp chips without the dusting (too spicy for the kids) and that could not be done for some reason. I make those at home. It takes a few seconds in hot oil. Then, we wanted to add some sashimi for our granddaughter to go and again waited, waited, waited, until we had to ask another server passing by for our server. Many things need to change in order for this establishment to continue. The Emeril name has gone down several notches for me.
Had dinner reservation for Friday December 15th. We were seated late and next to the bar with plenty of other seats and tables available on both sides of the Koi Pond. The amount of noise from the servers who were unconcerned with their colorful language and their voice volume while picking up their drinks with our table right behind them. I would have preferred that my 8 year old daughter did not hear that type of language and would suggest the servers lower their voice so we could have a table-wide conversation without having to say "what" every 10 seconds. Sitting at a round-top within the bar area also limits the amount of service we received. The ONLY server we had was the bartender and we only saw her every half hour or so when she had time to check on our table. Refills on drinks, missing sauces for appetizers and tableware we were forced to wait until she came back. The reason why I type this review is amazingly because there wasn't enough silverware so that my three children could eat their ice cream. They instead were given the choice of chop sticks or forks! Now granted my kids would ice cream with their hands if they could however, when as a table we spend over $350 on dinner, drinks and desert (before the tip) that's where i draw the line. I don't care if you had a party behind the curtain that used up all the spoons, as a restaurant you don't have enough tableware or can't wash three spoons? This was such a bad experience for me that I won’t be coming back. We would have brought it to the managers attention however he was nowhere to be found and our server / bartender was busy taking selfies with other customers along bar. I could have easily gone to a Chili's or Longhorn at a fraction of the cost and received the same type of service This used to be a hidden gem of a restaurant that I recommended frequently but you have faltered mightily. Trading on Emeril's name without delivering the service was a major disappointment.
