Emeril's Tchoup Chop Ratings and Reviews
We had eaten here many years ago and the food and service was exceptional, however this is no longer the case. All of our courses were fair at best, to be honest the food was poor. We will say the the general service at the Royal Pacific is outstanding, Chop Chop staff seems to have an attitude. Why, I don't know. If their food and services was outstanding it might be ok, but under the circumstances this was not the case. Do yourself a favor and go to CityWalk.
We enjoyed the drinks, apps, and entrees. However, the gnocchi on the scallop dish, while flavorful, was way too dense. Even the brussel sprouts were lighter in texture. Scallops were perfectly cooked. They need to revisit proper gnocchi and this dish would be outstanding.
Disappointed. Great service. Attentive, engaging staff. Poor execution on the dishes. Is this really an Emeril place? The scallops and Brussels sprouts dish- sprouts were tough and the gnocchi was dense. We won't return, sadly.
I have eaten here many times and it has always been great until this visit. The staff had an edge to them that was unwelcoming and brusk. The food was subpar. The last time I was here, Emeril was in the kitchen and the food was excellent. I expected a drop off tonight but it more than a drop off because the boss wasnt there. It was like falling off the side of a mountain. I wont be back.
Stayed at hotel so we reserved this one night for dinner. Beautiful restaurant, service very very slow considering we were one of only 4 or so people in the restaurant at 5pm! Some items were really good (KFC chicken, ribs, katsu sushi roll) others (pancit, kids menu, lobster toast) left something to be desired. They did not charge us for pancit, though, which was nice of them!
I would give Emeril's a solid "meh". The menu was muhc more limited than I expected. The shrimp chips were very tasty and the scallop were very good and their preparation was really nicely done but otherwise everyone's food was just "ok". Our tuna was overcooked. Rare is rare when you order tuna and medium rare just doesn't cut it. Two people ordered the dish rare and both came out overcooked. Overall it was just kind of middle of the road but could have been great. For the price, not really worth the visit.
Wow! What a memorable meal! One of the best our family has had, and we eat frequent great restaurants.
Our waiter was knowledgeable and spot on with his recommendations. Loved the complimentary shrimp crisps at the beginning. Cocktails were fabulous. I really didn't mean to eat all of the banana cream pie, but it was soooo good that I couldn't stop.
Been to emerils in las vegas and we were expecting a top notch meal with excellent service. The service was passable though nothing to note and the food was really poorly prepared--fish was caked and hard and chewy; steak was ordered medium rare and served all red with cold center. Mushrooms were nearly cold a minute after being served. Good cocktails, however.
I've always had a great experience here. My wife had the Korean fried chicken which was delicious. I actually regretted not ordering this myself. I ordered the seared scallops. The scallops themselves were good, but the rest of the dish was not good at all. I barely ate anything other ham the scallops and left the table hungry.
I like the restaurant overall, but this dish left me wanting to try another place to eat the next time we are staying there. Sorry to say, but I would not recommend this dish to anyone.
This restaurant is beautiful and had the most attentive service I've ever experienced. It was very expensive and although the waiting staff were fantastic I didn't think the $200 bill for two adults and two children was reasonable for the quality of the food which was fine, just not amazing and for that price I'm looking for amazing food.
Excellent service! Awesome food in huge quantities! The mussels were delicious and massive! The salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked! The server intuitively knew what I would like or not based on a few questions he politely asked.
Fantastic restaurant with servers, food and drinks! Thank you!
The food was average, absolutely nothing to rave about. Also, nothing came out hot. The service was horrible!! We had 2 waiters (not sure why) and they clearly did not communicate with each other. Then the runners who brought out the food, all dropped the plates down in front of all the wrong people...didn't even bother asking.
It was just Ok. I expected a fabulous, off the charts Emeril experience. And everything about it was just OK. Calamari was dry overcooked and mediocre. Sauces were all stingy. Menu was limited. Service was outstanding. Drinks were outstanding. But I expected a full Emeril menu and experience. It was a long walk to the Loews Hotel to get to the restaurant
Time to CHOP Tchoup Chop from my list of favorites in Orlando.
Arrived 10 minutes prior to my Open Table reservation time and the front desk could not locate my reservation. Luckily, the restaurant was not busy and they were able to sit us. For the reservation inconvenience, the manager gave us a free appetizer sampler. When the main course arrived, the Korean ribs were barely above room temperature and the accompanying fried rice wasn't even warm. The plate was ice cold. The other entree, the KFC was at a proper serving temperature. Needless to say, I sent the ribs back, declined a replacement and they removed the cost of the entree from the bill. What would Emeril say??? Over the years the quality of the food has declined and this was evident by the empty tables on an in season Saturday night. My last visit to this once fine dining experience.
Fantastic food and impeccable service! We were in for our 2nd anniversary and they accommodate to our vegan requests no problem. Chef sent complementary items, even a dessert with Happy Anniversary written in white chocolate sign. Our server Chris was great, very attentive and meticulous about our order. Manager stop by to check on how everything was going and the entire staff was very welcoming. The style, decorations, lighting and music all blend perfect into a very accommodating ambiance. The Ahi Tuna Tartare, the Calamari and Ell nigiri were all very good; the desserts were really incredible, starting with the Key Lime Pie, Coconut Sorbet and the best dessert was for sure their Signature Creme Brulee, which was out of this world delicious. I've been to the Original Emeril's in Tchoupitoulas Street in New Orleans and no doubts that was great as well, but the flair of this restaurant at Universal Orlando is very unique and spectacular. Thanks for a great night! Definitely will come back again and it is highly recommended!
Having gone to other Emeril's restaurants, we were looking forward to our dinner. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We ordered some Hamachi and it was ok but not great. My son had the dragon roll and it was very good. We then ordered the mussels which came out in a great presentation... however, they were huge mussels. We each gave one a try and could not eat them ... they were tough, chewy and gritty. We sent them back. We then waited for quite a long time, probably at least 30 minutes to get our entrees. Two of our party had the Ahi Tuna ... it was seared perfectly but the accompanying zucchini noodles were a bit bland and didn't do anything for the dish. I had the sea scallops which were 4 medium scallops in a delicious cream sauce. Dessert was the banana pie which we didn't particularly find all that tasty as the cream was like paste. Overall it was a very disappointing meal and we would not return to this restaurant.
