Emeril's Orlando encompasses everything that Emeril stands for - high energy, bold exciting flavors & a memorable experience. Chef Emeril Lagasse's fifth restaurant, Emeril's Restaurant Orlando, is a fitting addition to the line-up at Universal CityWalk. Upon entering the restaurant your eyes take you on a ride up the metal staircase, across the Gertjejansen artwork, down the wall of wine, over the Ochsner portrait & stopping for a moment at the food bar. By this time the staff greets you with the warmth of a welcome home. A drink at the bar, maybe a classic New Orleans cocktail to start & then you are seated. The dining room bustles with energy with a view of the chef & the brilliance in the kitchen. Although walk-ins can be accommodated, reservations are highly recommended. Our dress policy is casual, but no sleeveless shirts for gentleman & boys.

Emeril's Restaurant Orlando Ratings and Reviews
After being told it'd be an hour wait, I booked a reservation for 20 minutes later: strange. Anyway, get the 4 course menu with wine pairings for a good deal on more food than you probably want to eat. Wine selections trend strongly to the "it's ok" end of the spectrum. Shrimp and grits was merely 'meh'. Make sure to try the gumbo and of course the signature banana cream pie.
It was a bit disappointing. I ordered shrimp and grits but the shrimp was bad. The texture was really off. I thought they were raw when I took the first bite. I'd cooked shrimp myself and I can tell good shrimp from bad shrimp. They were either refrozen or some kind of preservatives was used. Someone in the kitchen must know the shrimp wasn't right before they cooked them.
Service was good. The manager and the waiters came over and apologized. But I really had expected quality food from Emeril's.
The Service was the best part of the meal. All staff was excellent. The cornbread appetizer changed for the worse, the Cesar salad was extremely salty and our entrees were Good to OK depending on the meal. We have been coming to this location yearly for awhile and this dinner was disappointing in comparison to the first time we visited.
If you try and pass yourself off as a fine dining restaurant then you need to rethink your label because it was something other than a fine dining experience. The service was similar to that of Applebee’s. We have two entrees and one had brown shrimp in it and the other was bland and we had to add lots of salt to the dish. Overall it was a disappointing experience.
My group was not seated in the main dining room since we had just come from the park and deemed not appropriately dressed. I understand that but we had to take the service elevator upstairs because I use a cane. I can’t be the first person in this situation.
The food was, unfortunately, just average. My friends and I have dined at Emeril’s restaurants a number of times in a variety of locations and the food was great. That is why we selected Emeril’s in Orlando. However my braised beef short ribs lacked much flavor. They could have been better seasoned. The mashed potatoes were mediocre. In New Orleans, they are exceptional.
My friend had a special appetizer of scallops that was good. However she had requested it be her dinner. The server said that it could only be an appetizer since the chef was “carefully guarding” them since there were only five scallops per dish. When the dish arrived, there were between 15 and 20 scallops. Did my friend get something other than the special or was this just a tactic to make her order an appetizer and a main dish?
We had planned to have dessert since this dinner was for my birthday but based on the above, we didn’t want to be further disappointed.
This was a vacation celebrating my 70th. We had spent all day at the park doing several rides etc. Ending the day at Emeril's was a great way to sit down & enjoy cocktails, great food & superb service. Our 2 waiters were wonderful, the food was delicious & we really enjoyed the whole experience!
Our first time and the food was fantastic! We love Cajun/Creole food and Emeril's did not disappoint! There was a special 4 course for $48 which included appetizer, soup/salad, entree, and dessert. We had the cornbread and the angel hair w/ mushroom appetizer which was a little spicy. The seasonal butternut squash soup was thick and the gumbo had a little kick to it. We chose the Shrimp and Grits as our entree which also had a slice of house made andouille sausage. Dessert was Emeril's signature Banana Cream Pie and a Key Lime pie. It was one of the best meals we have enjoyed! Definitely recommend and would go again!
We went to Emeril’s with a large part including 2 small children. They set us at a round table (great!) by the kitchen (not great). The restaurant was very noisy, but the servers were attentive. The appetizer, fried green tomatoes, were delicious and small. It took a long time to get our entrees (an hour). The food was yummy, though. We would go again.
The food, like every Emeril's restaurant, was outstanding again. However, the thing that made this visit to the restaurant extra special was the over the top service my family received. My kids acting up and causing a ruckus while waiting for their food (which came quickly but never quick enough for hungry kids) was handled with grace and compassion by the entire staff. After my son knocked over my entire freshly poured beer, I wasn't met with sighs and eye rolls; instead we were whisked away to a new fresh table and I had a full beer (placed away from my son's side) before the old one had even finished spilling. The entire team from the hostess, to our waitress, to the manager, and even other waiters were remarkable and assured 2 a little overwhelmed parents that accidents happen and it wasn't a big deal at all. Highly recommend Emeril's at CityWalk not just for the great food but for the best staff I've encountered in all my years of dining out.
I took my husband for his bday celebration , he loves cooking shows and great chefs . I decided to take him to emerils in Orlando and it was GREAT . The service was excellent and the food tasted amazing it was so yummy with great flavor. The dessert and my wine was delicious . Will love to go again soon . I recommend this fantastic place to everyone :)
I have been to numerous Emirl’s restaurants before all over the United States. This is by far the worst I have eaten at. I have been to this restaurant twice now. The first experience was excellent. The service and food were up to Emirel’s standards. This time I was very disappointed in all the aspects that I was so looking forward to. 😢😢😢😢😢
My family went here while we were on vacation and I will say we had an awesome waiter. My husband and I have five kids and our waiter was very patient with us and joked with the kids quite a bit.
When we first making reservations to eat, I was like wow, Emerils, there food will be great! Unfortunately, the steak I ordered came with mashed potatoes and green beans which would have been good if it wasn’t cold. My parents order was cold and one of my kids dishes was cold as well.
They did apologize for the food being cold and remade the food. One dish came back full of fat, and they ended up taking that one off our bill.
I might have had high expectations when I thought of Emerils but I definitely didn’t expect cold food! Maybe they were having an off night.
Emril's has been around a long, long time so they have both the art and the science of fine cuisine down consistently. The menu has a reasonable selection from which to choose without making the decision a chore. The notable items, for us at least, were in the appetizer, accompaniments and dessert selections. The entrees are all excellent, just not overly creative.
The wine list is superb and our waiter took special care in describing the various offerings in which we were interested. He was almost at a sommelier level and much more well versed than your typical waiter.
We were there on our Anniversary and all the staff went out of their way to wish us a happy one, not just the pair that were our servers. It was an excellent experience.
Took our reservation but when we showed up, they had a private event and the facility was closed. How do you take a reservation for a night you are closed? The hostess said they left a voicemail for all with reservations. That did not happen. I received no communication on cell phone, home phone, via OpenTable app, or email. The hostess appeared uncaring. She did ask if I wanted to take a water taxi ride to their other restaurant as they could try to fit my family in there. I declined and we went to Hard Rock Cafe instead. At that point, I needed to eat for medical reasons and not take a water taxi ride. Hostess did not inquire if another night would work for us which it would and I would have understood the need to reschedule. Very disappointed with lack of empathy from the hostess. We have eaten at this restaurant before and have found the food and staff terrific. We were coming back as we have traveled here from Virginia for an early senior trip for our daughter before she goes off to college next year. Not a great start to our trip.
As for the ratings, since I did not get in last night, I rated all as 1 star and noise level as low since I could not experience the restaurant, only watch the private party experience through the window line Tiny Tim.
The starters were delicious. And that was it. The service was worst than going to fast food drive thru. Right from the start the hostess was inattentive and dismissive. Not once did she make eye contact or smile. She barely acknowledged us. The seating was fast since we had reservations and then our waiter was as warm as a glacier in December. He was completely appalled by our presence as if we were more of a nuisance than customers. Finally after an hour of negligence we decided to ask for the check and leave. We did not get our Entrées. We didn’t ask the waiter since we were clearly unfit for his presence. We asked a manager or team lead at the front desk to assist us. He helped us get out of there. We were truly disappointed since we had higher expectations. The appetizers were delicious but the lack of service was enough to ruin the moment and remind us to never return to this location. We will try Emeril’s in NOLA.
This was a much welcomed experience! The service was so great the first day we went, we came back the next night. So nice to have fanstastic food prepared well, especially after all of the theme park food consumed during the week. The first day, my daughter was not feeling well and they accommodated her food requests. We came back the second day so she could try some of the food she saw. I have marked this as kid-friendly and they did have a kid specific menu. However, this is still a nice sit down restaurant. All of the kids there were behaved very well and probably acting like adults... That said, this was such a nice find on our trip. The specialty wine selection was also fantastic! Can't wait to try another Emeril's!
