Service was excellent, not sure our servers name but he was superb. Handled our allergy very well. Dining room was noisy. Prices were what you would expect for being right outside universal. Fabulous wine and cocktail list. Great specials, huge portions.
My girlfriend and I were in Orlando to celebrate her birthday. I decided to make a reservation for her birthday dinner after considering so many great options Orlando has to offer. There were two main issues I had on this experience. First one was the server just had a terrible attitude. It made us seem like we were a inconvenience to him the entire time. On another note the assistant was great. Very pleasant and attentive. I actually gave the assistant a personal tip for doing a great job. Now when it came to the food the swordfish was fantastic. My girlfriend ordered a medium rare bistro steak that came out rare. Had to send it back to have it cooked up a bit more. When the steak arrived back I was finished with my meal already, and the steak was a med well to well. The manager presented the steak and we just said it was fine instead of sending it back a second time. Unfortunately the service could of possibly turned this around. As a person who manages a fine dining restaurant I was expecting a little more professionalism from my server and better food quality.
Staff and cuisine was great.
The food was okay. The best part was the banana cream pie dessert. The salads and entrees were not very flavorful. The service was very good.
overall, this was a very good dining experience. It is a great location, outside the Universal Studios Park. The food was excellent and the service was also very good. My only complaint is that they initially seated us a table directly in front of double door that led into the back side of the kitchen. the door stays open and inside you see bright lights, wait staff running with trays, trash being dragged out, stack plastic crates, and lots of noise. It completely detracts from the atmosphere of the restaurant to have tables directly in sight of the back of the house. They were able to move us to a new table, for which we were grateful.
Family dinner after a day at the golf tournament. Service was great...not rushed and didn’t take too long
Food was great, service very good. Place is very noisy
Food was delicious and service was great. Definitely make a reservation. Bar area is small. Dress was more casual than we expected.
Mike and team were fantastic. My son and I greatly enjoyed our food and it was what I would expect from Emerils.
Are waiter was trash and the food was burnt and to top it all off there charged my meal and someone else's. Had to go back to the restaurant to get my money back horrabke go to Vivo or Cowfish way better in service and food.
The worst service possible spoiled a birthday celebration, twenty minutes for drinks, 40 minutes for entrees; which of course arrived at room temperature. Our waiter was nowhere to be found and it seemed as though no one was in charge.
This spot puts the Emeril’s brand to shame. Stay away from this spot.
Everything was great, our waiter Keith was friendly, knowledgeable and made a point not to rush us. When the meals arrive it was presented beautifully - all placed on the table at the same time. The only issue was that one meal was not cooked as requested (medium rare filet mignon arrived rare), so the meal had to be sent back. Unfortunately it took some time and the others in the party had either already finished most of their meal, or it had gone cold. Was a bit disappointed that no restitution was offered - discount, dessert, nothing. But, other than that, the meal was delicious.
Underwhelmed at Emeril's Orlando. I expected much better quality but the food was salty and by comparison, I ordered the same dish the prior evening from another less well known restaurant and the shrimp were double the size with much better authentic flavor and the cost was less. I realize this on City Walk but it still should live by its name and increase the quality of their meals.
Food is great. Great wine selection. Servers are friendly and attentive. Acoustics are bad and result in a very loud environment when dining room is full. Kitchen is mismanaged. Took over an hour to get an entree. Same for 6 other tables around us.
For spring break in Orlando, Bacon jam turned into pork jam (not as good) and braised beef was removed from the menu. We were a little disappointed there was no braised beef (something we've had several times before), but the replacement dishes were pretty decent (but more expensive)..
The food was good but the service was very poor. Totally surprised at the service received for Emeril’s.
Had a great meal and our waiter Keith was very nice and entertaining had a great time
Hanger steak was way under cooked asked for medium well was practically Raw took a long time to get our entrees close to an hour but overall place was very busy and everything was good when we finally got it
Excellent food and atmosphere. Great break from park. Relaxing. Banana cream pie the BEST
First time. The food was great and great service. Really enjoyed the cornbread, delicious. The scallops paella was fantastic. Great sauce. Very different from how I make paella. Loved it.
The meal was lovely, salmon delicious!
If you like good food it's probably the best choice on the city walk outside universal, if you hate big chain restaurants.
Fabulous way to end the day after universal.
Great! We had fun
The food was amazing. Their beef was creekstone which made it 100% better to begin with. The food was so good I cant stop thinking about it. The waiter didnt smile much but that didnt matter once we tried our meal
This was my third visit. The first two visits were wonderful. This visit failed to meet expectations. We arrived before our reservation time and were seated promptly. We were given water and then waited while other tables were seated. After a brief time, our drink order was taken, and we waited. That was okay because we were not in a rush. The Service Staff are professional and polite. Our dinner order was taken, and the long wait began. It appeared we were forgotten, because the tables seated around us where given their meals first, although they arrived after us. Finally, the dinner arrived, although my meal was slightly warm, and my companion’s meal was cold. The error was corrected for my companion. I just ate what was provided. The food was well prepared and very good. The Staff apologized, and a Manager arrived to say our meals would be not be charged, and Emeril's would give us a dessert as an apology. We ordered a shared dessert and coffee. When the bill arrived, the entrees were not charged, however the dessert was and the other meal costs. We did not say anything since we were not there to create a problem. We apparently misunderstood the Manager who said the meals would not be charged and we were getting the dessert as an apology. I presume this was just an off night for Emeril’s and not an indication of how they typically provide service to their guests.
It was amazing. Everything I expected and so much more. I can't wait to visit again!!!!!
We were here for our wedding anniversary and it was noted when the reservation was made. We were sat in the loudest section of the restaurant directly behind the host station. It was very loud and not the best spot for an anniversary. We had a main waiter and then his helper Dan, I'm it sure of the main Walter's name because we saw him 2 times for a total of about 45 seconds. Neither were that personable but were polite. I would have liked to have seen better service overall and maybe more attention to detail. The food took a while to come out but was very good. Overall for the cost I could have gone elsewhere and had better service and the same quality meal.
Amazing dinner sitting at the counter in front of the wood fire oven! Kitchen staff were super engaging! They were willing to answer questions and share their process of the food they were preparing. They generously shared extra small bites for my husband and I to sample. We had lamb and the shrimp and grits. The lamb was the best meal I’ve ever eaten! Sitting at the counter also removes the visual clutter of City Walk and allowed us to truly enjoy our dining experience!
For the cost, we were expecting much better food. I’ve eaten at Emeril’s in New Orleans and this paled in comparison. Maybe it was just an off night, but the food was bland & boring.
Loved everything. The baos were as good as any we have ever had; the salmon was the best!
Took my wife for a special occasion and we tried the churrasco... Wow, best we've ever had. The restaurant was too cold and the service was acceptable but for the price, should've catered to us a bit more. We asked to be moved to a warmer part of the restaurant (there were tables available) and were essentially told no.
Great food and service
Food wonderful. Seating with a view great. Sally and curt were a great
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Emeril's Orlando. Excellent service and all of our dishes were wonderfully flavored. Wonderful way to celebrate two special occasions.
First of all, the food was delicious! Between the three of us we had two different appetizers and three different main dishes and we all agreed the flavors, freshness, and creativity of the food were tops and what we would expect from Emeril! However, the atmosphere and the service were not what we expected from an Emeril restaurant. The main room is simply a big room..no real ambience or feel to it. The hostess originally tried to seat us in that room but we asked to wait for a table near the windows in what almost seemed to be an addition or patio type room. I'm glad we waited because it turns out the big room was about to seat two parties of about 15 each..we would have been right between those two huge and very loud parties. Our waiter was fine, but just fine. We had to ask for bread when our appetizers came-- he completely neglected to bring it early. And when we did request it, he corrected us by saying "it's not just bread, it's cheese biscuits". They make a show of bringing all the main dishes as exactly the same time but I would rather have a personable attentive waiter who wants to ensure an overall special experience, rather than a show of being a upscale restaurant.
Service took forever and food was blah
Food was excellent and well prepared. Banana cream pie is wonderful and bananas are not necessarily my favorite.
Emeril has several outstanding restaurants that I've eaten at, this isn't one of them. I usually go to a fine steakhouse for my birthday but decided to change up this year. Big mistake. A lively, stylish restaurant gave us hope when we arrived. Our server was good at the start although a bit full of himself. Ordered cocktails which came in reasonable time and then ordered our food. Our appetizer came and the Fried Green Tomatoes were very good. Then the long wait. Finally caught our waiter and he said our entrees were coming soon. Well, we'd watched 2 tables near us that arrived after us and they had had their starters and now had their entrees. A manager stopped by and apologized for the delay and said our orders were next up. Entrees came and were OK. My fried chicken special had dry meat and a skin on one of the sauces and my wife's entree was a little dry also. Too long under the warming lamps? They comped our cocktails which was nice since we didn't complain. I would consider this a decent theme park restaurant but not much more.
