We waited over an hour between the appetizer and entre course. The entres arrived at room temp and tasted like they have been sitting for a while. The bread on the beef po boy sandwich was soggy. My baked clams were chewy and dry. We were very disappointed at the quality of the food. The manager did como our appetizers but we still had to pay for overall bad food. We will not return or recommend this restaurant.
Basically, this is stories restaurant and not better than many restaurants.
The standards for service are low here. Inadequate attention. Small things like bread doesn't come out fresh. Food delivery timing is uneven.
These are basic things, but critical things.
Then, there's the food. Nothing bad. Some things better than average. Nothing exceptional. The BBQ shrimp should be outstanding and it was tasty but the shrimp were overcooked and small and the BBQ sauce was overly syrupy, and simplistic sweet. Tasty, but not that special.
The only other thing that we had that was "interesting" was the duck entree. Again, a little more complexity of flavor mixture, very sweet, pretty good, but not wow.
We were looking for some wow tastes from some classic dishes. That didn't happen and we were disappointed. Otherwise, it was OK. Frankly the prices are not particularly high, which was surprising.
Delicious food - thank you to the Chefs! Did not love all the “upselling” the waitress was doing. Especially did not love the extra $80 bottle of wine the waitress brought that no one ordered. Check out was so confusing to be laughable. There were 12 of us and their credit card system was so confusing. Why some of us paid different amounts when we asked to split the check evenly is a mystery. The worst $1000 restaurant experience I’ve ever had!
Service was great staff was kind friendly and quick. Loved the food. Great wine selection as well
Greatly enjoyed our entire experience. Service was outstanding! Our three appetizers, salads, five entrees and five deserts were amazingly delicious!
Everything was amazing. We sat at the counter facing the kitchen which was so much fun. The chefs were friendly and interactive. Food was perfect, service was perfect, the whole experience was perfect!
Everything was amazing
We had bbq shrimp for appetizer, gulf drum and sweet bbq salmon. All very delicious
The food was outstanding! The service was fabulous! We got a spot by the kitchen and it was like a show watching the cooks and staff synchronizing to push out excellent dishes. Highly recommend this spot!! Everything melted in your mouth!
We had a wonderful dining experience. Anniversary dinner and everything was absolutely fabulous. Loved the Barbecue Shrimp! Would definitely come again on our next visit.
I was attending the Keller Williams Family Reunion event.
The food and service were fine. Nothing, however, was exceptional. Something is usually lost when a restaurant becomes a chain. There is a loss of creativity and spark. So, Emeril's was fine, but was missing the "BAM" that the progenitor intended.
Frankly, we were disappointed. We had heard great things about Emeril's from different sources. So, I chose the restaurant to celebrate our 42nd wedding anniversary. The service was excellent but we expected food that was exceptional in a "fine dining" atmosphere. Instead the food was mediocre and the atmosphere more like that of a sports bar. The table next to us was so loud and boisterous that my wife and I had a hard time having any sort of conversation.
What a treat! We treated my wife’s mother and father to a special evening at Emeril’s. It was a bucket list for her mom and more than she had expected. The service is above and beyond what you can imagine and they work to make sure everyone enjoys the experience. My youngest had a special request and they found a way to ensure his meal was wonderful. The setting is pleasant and the noise never gets it of control. If you are looking for a special meal and happen to be in New Orleans the only place to go is Emeril’s.
Such a fantastic experience! The service is impeccable - we can’t wait to dine there again.
This was our first visit to NO and this was a highlight.
We reserved for Valentines Day and were extremely pleased with the food and service. The menu was rich and varied and each item we ordered was beautifully prepared and delivered. There seemed to be no “Valentines” crowding or price inflation, just another fantastic evening of great restaurant experience. We enjoyed the Andouille and Boudin sausage and barbecued shrimp for appetizers and a cup of gumbo (my standard quality check at Cajun/Louisiana restaurants), and the Shrimp and Grits and beef tenderloin for our mains. We found a delicious Novy Zinfandel (Russian River) to complement the meal. Waitstaff was plentiful, attentive without ever pushing or rushing our evening. A chocolate soufflé lava cake sweetened the deal.
We went with high expectations, as it has been recommended by magazines and even the bus tour in the morning recommended it, but the food was terrible. I ordered a main course of duck and we wife ordered fish. First, presentation was terrible. The food was a little mountain, with the duck completely covered in some potato/veg pieces. The duck was way over cooked. Texture and taste was like duck leg noble soup in a Hong Kong noodle shop, and that is better as it is a 5th of the price. And it came with a piece of what tasted like hash brown ? My wife’s fish was better but nothing special. Both dishes were huge. How can it even be 70th or so on tripadvisor places to eat in New Orleans ?
Was probably good 20 years ago.
Put this on your bucket list and enjoy patronizing this exceptional restaurant!!
I was super excited to come here and it did not completely meet up to my expectation. The ambiance was superb. However we had several people coming to our table at all times which was a bit much because it lacked intimacy and seemed rushed, considering our later dinner reservation. The food was phenomenal but the menu was not what I expected. Nearly everything had red meat and we could not adjust anything on the menu. The drinks were delicious but did not seem like there was any alcohol in them. Overall we had a great time but unfortunately would not go back.
The biggest problem was that we ate at GWFins on Monday night...therefor I’m not sure it’s fair to judge you, but we did. You were found “not worthy” of our time, money or enjoyment. Of the five days we spent in NO, your meal was the LOW point.
The service (Nick) was marginally ok, but certainly not attentive or memorable. I sent the duck back because it was disgusting...I cook duck breast myself and love it; this had black slimy skin and the duck was dry, even the croquett was dry and tasteless. (And I was still charged for it!!!!). And on my birthday celebration!!!
In addition, even though we repeatedly told everyone that my sister was allergic to spinach, they still did not know what was in her salad, and I requested no blue cheese and had to send mine back too! The steaks were ok though the vegetables were unappetizing and mushy.
We went directly back over to Fin’s for after dinner drinks and dessert so the evening would not be a complete disappointment.
Need I say more? It was Wednesday night (13th). Nothing could entice me to return.
Went there a month ago and was great. This month it was not, food was very over seasoned and not up to Emeril's standards. I have worked with Emeril before and I know he creates great food. He needs to visit his kitchens and make sure his recipes are being followed. Staff was as always excellent but we were very disappointed in the food. this trip.
Superb food and service one would expect at a high end restaurant. Food was amazingly good, but the service was over the top. Highly recommend it.
When I first got there I was by myself and they put me in a corner right behind the hostess station. There was a big commotion about getting the other three settings of the table and then the waitress came back and took away the charger from my seat I'm not sure why but I guess I didn't need it was just for decoration it was just weird that they empty the table and everything. The fish courses were recommended by a different waiter sounded good so I got them I have the pan-seared halibut and a blue crab soup. The soup was creamy and delicious but it only had two tiny little pieces of crab meat in it. The bread was okay but it wasn't warm it was a little stale. The pan-seared halibut was extremely tough it did not flake it all I had to put a lot of force on the side of my fork to get through it and it was extremely salty. The sauce that was on top of was pretty good but kind of grainy. How mini carrots were raw. I had the chocolate king cake for dessert it was hot to the point it felt like it came right out of the microwave and it was only okay it wasn't fantastic it wasn't bad it was just okay.
First Birthday for our daughter. Excellent service. Everyone was on point and very attentive. Thank you.
Excellently prepared food phenomenal service immaculate facility free valet parking
Lovely experience! Great food, loved sitting at the kitchen counter and watching the chefs. Would definitely return.
Everything about our experience from, start to finish, was exceptional. This restaurant is a must for anyone visiting New Orleans.
It is always a treat to dine here. Never disappointing. Very consistent when it comes to food. I look forward to coming back again (and again)!
We had a business dinner for 5 . The waitstaff did a great job. The food was very good.
The food was incredible and the service from the 3 guys who were taking care of us was phenomenal. Would highly recommend this place for the service alone.
Luke the host was awesome. Service and food great and reliable...
Our dinner was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had in a very long time! The team of Mike, Tyler and Bianca were fabulous in EVERY WAY and we had so much fun! The food was exquisite and we just can't say enough wonderful things about our time at Emeril's in New Orleans! We definitely will go back when we return to NOLA very soon!
Everything was wonderful. Our server Jordan was great as were all of the other waiters who catered to us. All of the food was “to die for “ as were the drinks. The banana cream pie was fabulous and the expresso martini was heavenly. Will definitely return to this jewel.
We have eaten at Emeril's many times before, but this will be our last time. It was by far the worst meal we have ever had in New Orleans and there are way too many excellent restaurants to have to justify the food that was served. The gumbo was so peppery it was almost inedible. The beef entree, that 4 of us ordered, was flavorless and the vegetables were a soggy mess of something that was indescribable. The mashed potatoes were soupy and I swear they tasted like box potato flakes. The deserts were bizarre, how is it possible to mess up bread pudding?, and were mostly left uneaten. The only good things were the drinks and the service and the french press coffee. After our incredibly disappointing experience, we went to Cafe du Monde and got beignets.
Food was excellent as was the service. Top notch. 40th birthday dinner with 10 friends. Zero complaints.
Great space. The food was wonderful. Try the Truffle Roasted & Fried Chicken. We enjoyed the Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding with bacon (seriously the bacon is on the desert)
