Emeril's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The service was very good and made an otherwise average meal a lot better. The sausage gumbo was fine but my wife makes a better one. The swordfish special was kind of bland and maybe I just choose poorly. The pork chop was very good though but the cut we had did have a lot of fat on it. The service was top notch and the staff was very attentive. The food felt a little overpriced for how it tasted.
This is a terrific restaurant, with decent food, nice ambiance, open kitchen, and polite and attentive service. But be warned: OpenTable is mistaken in categorizing it as "$30 and under"--the very cheapest dinner entree is $28, and most are in the high 30's. Six of us had entrees and split one modest bottle of wine--no appetizers, salads or desserts, with a bill near $300. Certainly worth going if that's your price point.
The serving staff are great! The food is beautiful and portions are perfect. The wine list selection is huge and varied, so you can find something no matter what your taste or budget. It was a must have on my list to eat here and my expectations were met. Well done!
It was our second time at Emeril's restaurant (different location )
The whole atmosphere, interior design is perfect
The food was outstanding
The service thoug was not perfect
It was very prompt and attentive
But when we ordered Pelligrino (mineral water) the server didn't ask how we want it:
"Gas or no gas"
When she brought it it was already opened , and it tasted like tap water
When the main dish arrived the server didn't ask who is having what
She just put the wrong dish in front of me This is fine dinning
When I go to a casual diner the server always asks who is having this or that
The restaurant deserves better servers, I think
Went to the visit while visiting NOLA. It was amazing. The entire experience was wonderful, from the service, presentation, to the food. Compared to South Florida's steakhouses I thought it was a real value for our meal and experience. Definitely, a must when in town!
Service was lousy. Our server never came by to ask if the meal came out alright (it wasn't described accurately on the menu, so we hadn't realized what came out was what we'd ordered) and we sat with dirty dishes in front of us for a long time after we were done. I would not eat here again or recommend it. The food wasn't good enough to offset the bad experience.
My friends and I went to Emeril's restaurant in the Art District in New Orleans. The food was exceptional, service was exceptional, as well as the overall experience. I have ordered the souffle on a prior visit and loved it but after hearing so much about the banana cream pie I thought I would try that. It was good but not as good as a souffle in my opinion. We will definitely be returning to Emerils. It was one of the highlights of my friends first trip to New Orleans.
Emerils was very nice. We had previously dined at MERIL, and wanted to dine here as well. After a bumpy start, when we we had a reservation but were forgotten in the bar, the rest of the meal, especially the food, was wonderful. Waitstaff were very attentive.
The roasted fried chicken was fabulous and unlike anything I have eaten in the USA or Europe. Great flavor and good example of new southern cooking. The collard green Mac and cheese was the perfect side. My wife had the wagyu beef and au gratin potatoes were also delicious. The bartender made a Skofflaw with Jefferson ocean bourbon that really hit the spot. Great service, great bar, incredible staff. They even watched some packages we didn’t have time to drop at the hotel before our reserved dining time. Love this place. Eat here.
I was expecting amazing and the food was just very average. I had hanger steak and the presentation quality of the cut were both poor - flavor was ok. My husband had the drum and although his was okay he agrees that we would not go back - too many other restaurants in NOLA.
Excellent service. Servers were extremely polite. Awesome food. We loved it! This was our annual Christmas lunch. The only thing we all noticed, there was no Christmas tree. We imagined Emeril would have a beautiful tree in his restaurant. Other than that the 6 of us were thoroughly pleased. We will return, just maybe not during the Christmas season. 🎄🎄🎄🎄
The food was excellent. I ordered the fish of the night which was a sword fish. It was amazing. It came with suchatash and greens. It was so good. The greens in a little of the sweet sauce was so yummy. We also had the fried & baked chicken with truffle oil. Ummm amazing. It came with greens and mac and cheese in a little cast iron grill. Very scrumptious. To top it off we got the chocolate sea salt caramel cake. It had real pieces of sea salt caramel. It might have been my favorite. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The hostess sat us & put our napkins on our laps. The decor was nice. Simple, romantic, cozy. I loved all the wine on the walls on the fridges etc. It was such a great dinner. I'd definerly recommend it and hope to return!
This was on my husband's bucket list since 2001; after his cancer surgery this year it was a priority to leave San Diego for New Orleans and go this THIS restaurant (yes, we understand there are many Emeril restaurants!). Not disappointed. Patrick was an excellent server, being granted the bar seating overlooking the kitchen was a fabulous experience. Looking forward to doing this again!
The welcome and service at Emeril's were impeccable. The atmosphere is comfortable and lively, with an engaging view of the kitchen from the dining room. The food is memorable and beautifully presented, as would be expected. My only caveat is this: the meal on my plate didn't meet my expectations perfectly because it didn't quite match the description on the menu. Although the fish entree was superb, the sides of seasonal veggies and potatoes were meager. Nonetheless, we would return if the opportunity arose.
We were in New Orleans for an anniversary trip and decided to have dinner at Emerils. The food was excellent as can be expected. However, the customer service is what stood out. The waiter asked what we were celebrating. Then brought us a free appetizer and celebratory dessert as well. We were well taken care of the entire meal.
As always this restaurant never disappoints. I tried Escargot bourgonoun ( not sure of spelling). It was Good. The sear yellowfin tuna was Great. And as always the Banana Cream Pie is to die for. My family and i never miss a chance to eat lunch when we visit NOLA
