Emeril's New Orleans Fish House Ratings and Reviews
Our second recent visit to Emeril's New Orleans Fish House ... We are back because really liked it the first time ... this time was just as good and maybe a bit better ... appetizers and dinner were great ... a thorough and well priced wine list adds to the experience .... we recommend trying this Emeril's. We will be back.
We enjoyed the gumbo, the Mofongo, the lobster roll, the steak sandwich, and we finished with the banana cream pie. Everything was amazing and the service was perfect!
We haven’t been there in a long time and had forgotten how good the food really is! Fantastic meal. We recommend this restaurant to everyone.
I enjoy dining all over the world and don’t mind paying extra for a great meal. This restaurant has great food , I’ve dinned here several times but today was the last because the managers are complete buffoons and outright insulting to their customers. They greeted me as a returning customer then at the end of the evening bustled me by asking me for an id when I tried to pay. First time in my life someone validated my persona when paying especially after having greeted me as a returning customer. Makes no sense and I will not return despite the fact that the food is great please upgrade your idiotic staff
I expect more from an Emeril restaurant with premium prices. The trout, lobster roll and shrimp poor boy were acceptable - nothing special that you can't get at any other restaurant. The plating for the trout was below par - a trout filet just sitting on a plate that any cook can do. Service was not attentive - had to ask for more water even though there's nor many people at the restaurant at lunch.
Six of us for dinner on my suggestion since I had earlier great experience. Fortunately, all thought I was a genius for the suggestion. Food was great (I’d suggest any seafood dish), service as usual (everyone served at the same time. Left a credit card by mistake but since I booked through Open Table, the manager had my number and called me so I could retrieve it.
Made reservations during brunch for 5 pm.
We arrived at 4:40 and were seated right away. To start off I had the HH Louisiana Style Broiled Oysters 4 @ $12. It was love at first bite! Heavenly mixtures of garlic and creole goodness! Yasss I soaked up that goodness on the delicious bread it came with and wished I had ordered more but my main course was yet to come. To drink I had the HH Classic Margarita @ $8 and just right!
For the main course I chose the 3 Course Tasting Menu for $45. First course I chose the Gumbo because you can’t eat at a NOLA inspired restaurant and not have the Gumbo! Spicy is all that comes to mind when I think back on this dish. It came with 3 shrimps and enough sausage to feel satisfied with.
For the second course I chose the Beer Braised Short Rib. First bite I made sure to include all the yummy goodness that was on the plate, the smashed roasted root vegetables, the fried parsnips and that sauce! The first bite was... You ever take a bite of something, close your eyes and have an out of this world experience? No? Eat here! Cutting through the meat was like cutting through butter. I’d definitely order this dish again.
I also got the chance to try the Herb Roasted Chicken Breast ($28) and if I could order over I’d choose the chicken. It wasn’t even the taste that amazed me but how well the chicken was cooked.
For the third course I chose the much praised Banana Cream Pie. As hyped as it is I’d say I was a bit disappointed. But let me explain...
I don’t like cold food/desserts. I felt if it was topped with hot fudge I would’ve been okay with instant death after this meal.
Service was on par with the food which was a nice surprise as I’ve found you either have good food and bad service or vice versa. We were seated immediately, checked on numerous times and our waiters (there’s a team of 3 per table) were very friendly.
All in all I’d definitely eat here again and again.
Food was excellent and we had a quiet label. Though meal was kind of expensive it was reasonable for Las Vegas. Our cocktails were also great. Most of our group ordered the 3 course tasting menu. Two had Flank Steak and one had salmon. The beet salad was nice starter. One of our group ordered the creole snapper which was wonderful as well. We all shared desserts two banana cream pie, one chocolate cake and the pecan pie was amazing. Our waitress and servers did great job. Highly recommended when you are in Vegas.
We had the three course dinner and everything was excellent. I had the bbq shrimp and my husband had the beet salad. My main course was the short ribs and he had the chicken. The entre comes with sides and the portions were large. Neither of us finished our meal because we knew dessert was coming. He had the pecan pie and I had the brownie . Everything was very good and the servers were prompt and friendly.
My server was awesome and really nice. The hostess was rude and prune faced, seems like she felt I shouldn't have been there. The food runner set my food across from me, however no one was across from me. There was a space for my food in front of me😐 weird or unprofessional?! 🤔 I'll take the latter. Food! Good Drink? AWESOME.
One of the best meals I've ever had. I started out with the barbecued shrimp. AMAZING! For dinner I had the pecan crusted Texas redfish. It explodes with flavor! For dessert I had the banana cream pie. Best dessert EVER! What a great dining experience. Thanks Team Emeril!
