Emeril's New Orleans Fish House Ratings and Reviews
Pricey, nice ambiance and great service but the signature dish Stuffed Shrimp with Crabmeat we ordered was a bit disappointing. The dish consisting only of five shrimps were tough and chewy and the crabmeat has bits of crab shells mixed in it. Also, the garnish that came with it seemed under cooked.
Restaurant was beautiful and comfortable. Service was top notch and consistent with other Emeril Restaurants we visited. Friendly informative and made sure we made it to our Vegas show in plenty of time. Food was excellent and the Banana Cream Pie was by far the best dessert I ever had. A must if you go.
It was much better than I expected based on some reviews that I read. I had the encrusted Texas Red Fish and it was really good. I would recommend it. I had 3 guests and they all thought it was great. Atmosphere isn't as private as I'd like for customers but it was ok. I'm eating there again with another group because it was convenient to them.
My daughter and I booked this restaurant for it's tasting menu for her birthday. Come to find out, they do not do a tasting menu at lunch(even though you would not know this from the website) . Not only did the waiter go speak to his manager but the manager got us a tasting lunch, for a lower price than we expected and he (the manager) also served us personally. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. Everything that was brought to us was fantastic. Would go here again and recommend it to everyone.
We have been to the NO Fish House a number of times and each time the food was superb. The restaurant has taken a down turn which was obvious with only 6 tables occupied on Friday night at 830pm in Las Vegas. That should have been a hint to not stay. I can't fault the service. It was the food that was not up to standard. The beet salad had a few slices of beets with some chunks of goat cheese and a very nondiscript dressing. Our salmon arrived drenched in BBQ sauce on a bed of very unappetizing hash. The salmon however was cooked perfectly. I really think that restaurant is tired and is simply resting on Emerils reputation.
Fabulous seafood!! There were four in our group and we all thought our entrees were the best we'd had at any restaurant in Las Vegas. We were also needing a quick turnaround on our meal in order to get to a show on time, and the waiter/staff were very accommodating.
Having ate at other Emerils in Florida and at the Venetian, we came in expecting a very good meal, a very nice ritzy like meal. However, there was nothing special about this place. The waiters were nice and very attentive but my husband said by them wearing jeans took away the feel of a nice top of the line Emerils restaurant that we were used too. We appreciated the free little tart before dinner. The lobster had a weird taste and the free range chicken was grossly slimy-like. The sauce with it was delicious though and I liked eating my mashed potatoes with it. That was all I ate of my meal.
We hosted a group of ten business associates for dinner. Seating was prompt to our reservation. The waiter was very good with the specials. Even sounded like he was singing it with all the rhyming that was going on.
The food was VERY good. Wine list was plenty and our specialty drink requested were spot ON. Yes, it is in Vegas and I expected a louder dining area. This was my worry since we were with clients. Totally the opposite. Our conversations were not drowned out. The dining area is situated well behind some glass and walls from the main public and it does well with sounds masking table conversations.
The cost is a little higher than expected, but well worth the money. I would visit again with business guests. Perfect spot for getting a deal completed. Did I say the food was outstanding?! if i didn't, then I will say it again. Superb Food.
We enjoyed the food. Chicken breast portion looked like it was 1/2 portion.
Whole fish was best of all dishes . Salmon was just OK.. I expected a lot more from a famous chef. It's a 2 mile walk from the main entrance to the MGM..
all portions were not what one would expect for a Southern Kitchen style place
The food is as expected great I had the stuffed shrimp loved it a Cajun taste of spicy but not overwhelming just enough. The service awesome not like some places where they can make you feel overcrowded, but when you need something they were there . highly recommended.
