Emeril's Delmonico Ratings and Reviews
I had the swordfish with cauliflower and it was awful very dry. My husband the steak and Mac and cheese was delicious. Not our first time there but very disappointed
Kevin Gilmore was our waiter and really good with helping us with the wine list and a great waiter
Spectacular building, professional staff, Emeril’s best kitchen. Everything on the menu is special except the steaks. Mine was overly rare in spite of my instructions, but was remedied, but disturbed the flow of our dinner. Barely forgivable in a high end restaurant. My advice is avoid the steaks and appreciate Emeril’s gift with complex dishes.
I don't think it's quite fair to write a review based on only two dishes, but at least I can give my opinion on those two items. EXTREMELY disappointed in the oyster po' boy. I should have paid closer attention to the description—egg salad on a po' boy? Okay, but only if it adds to the dish. In this case, it was all I could taste—the eggs and the bread. The oysters had no flavor at all, and if there was aioli on the sandwich, again, I couldn't taste it. I've had better po' boys from local grocery stores.
The opposite was true of the barbecued shrimp. Full of flavor, but it seemed oddly heavy, with the cream and the sherry. I'm used to traditional versions of this dish, so that was a disappointment.
Great resturants in NOLA, this isn’t one of them. Despite the name on the door, nothing here that is above average. Fish dish was swimming in butter, green beens over cooked, and bananas fosters poor. Service was responsive but uneducated. Plated appetizer and first course together, needed to be reminded to remove dishes etc. very expensive for a average meal and experience
Food was amazing, atmosphere was great, and Johnny M was an incredible waiter. He & his assistant were professional, knowledgeable & a pleasure to have met. We loved celebrating with friends at this restaurant. You will not be disappointed at all! Perfection!
My best culinary experience ever. Perfect location outside of busy part of the city. The service was impeccably done by very qualified and dedicated people. We were helped choosing from menu, and received pertinent information about the way food is cooked, and ingredients.
The taste of food was beyond expectations, and all together made a perfect dinner. We will definetely return.
I have been to this restaurant before and it was amazing. The service and food were top notch. So when I had six friends in town I planned a reservation here for our nice dinner out. I was surprised when we entered the restaurant that the hostess did not offer to check our coats. Almost everyone in our party thought this was odd for a restaurant that prides itself on service. We later asked and were told we could check our coats. We sat down to a amazing table and had a really wonderful waiter. The entire wait staff was actually wonderful. Our wine was also amazing. Our appetizers came out timely and were all very good.
The issue was with our actual dinner. Our steaks and sides came out basically cold. They also came out at different times. I had one guest who got her steak about 5 mins after everyone else. We also had one side come to the table maybe 10 mins after the food. Additionally two guest had their steaks mixed up (medium rare and medium well). Thankfully only one of my guest commented on how the food was cold, but I was honestly so embarrassed. We had already been at the restaurant for almost three hours at this point, as the service was so slow, so I did not make a big deal to the staff about the food, as my guest were very hungry. For the literal thousand dollar bill we paid, we got cold food. I will not take people back here. It is a shame as the food is great and the staff is great, but for the cost, I just don't find it acceptable to serve cold food. The kitchen needs to get it together.
We made reservations for the New Years weekend. We enjoyed our visit. However on balance, we felt the food was just OK and not very special for a place of this stature. The food at all our other restaurant outings on this trip to NO were better. We thought the service was outstanding. Friendly and very attentive. as for ambiance, the front dining room seemed quite nice but we were escorted to a back dining room which had the appearance of an atrium that subdivides into private party scenes. Access to this room was through the kitchen. A unique entry trip which actually we enjoyed.
Our food was incredible! I had the petite filet with Emeril’s Worcestershire sauce and it was delicious. My husband had the duck special and loved it, and my daughters really enjoyed their steak and fish specials. We shared the Brussels sprouts and all agreed they were much better than mine! I will be going online to try and find the recipe! Our waitstaff were all wonderful, but Jamal really stood out. He was so friendly and professional. We wanted for nothing. We were celebrating a birthday and they acknowledged it upon our arrival which was very nice. It was an incredible dining experience and I highly recommend them!
Very good quality and presentation of food
Servers were fantastic, very in tune
Only disappointment was I had told them we were flying in for Anniversary dinner and no acknowledgement of it was made
Also although it was on the web menu they did not have Banana Fosters available which was one thing we really wanted we were really disapointed in that as chocolate chip cookies are not the same
We will go again if the opportunity arises
