We were lucky to have Johnny as our waiter. He is a a great waiter and a better person. The service is top notch. The turtle soup is great. The Ribeye Steak is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had. The Banana Fosters is cooked at the table and is by far the best in New Orleans.

INCREDIBLE. That is about the only word that describes Delmonico. The service, drinks and food were outstanding and hope to come back to NOLA just for this restaurant!

We ordered our steaks medium and they came out mooing. Our 7$ potatoes weren't enough for even one person.

Wait staff was poorly trained and didn't do what they should have...never checked on us after delivering our meal, didn't bring our water until we were finished with the meal.

There are much better places to eat in NO for the money.

Everything was top notch. Only complaint was that it was too cold( also on another occasion) and a little noisy for business conversation.

Had dinner here with my husband. We enjoyed the live music (piano) and the cozy ambience. We loved the charchuterie board, the pork cheek and gumbo. Wine selection was excellent! It was an unforgettable New Orleans gastronomic experience.

It was not up to prior visits. Ambience and decor, noise level good. The deconstructed muffuletta and the bisque, we’re subpar. The trout was excellent, not so the desert.
The main problem was the service. From the missed order, to the incorrect wine pouring. The icing on the cake, the thrown silverware! If you don’t have time to do things correctly, hire additional staff, or make sure that your staff is adequately trained. Went the with high expectations, left disappointed! Not returning!

Wanted to take my wife, sister-in-law, and niece out for a nice meal while visiting New Orleans. Emeril’s was definitely a wise choice. From the girl who made sure the water glasses stayed full to the assistant to the waiter who explained how a dish was prepared and then escorted my niece to the restroom by extending his arm to her like a real gentleman would. Those were things that were mentioned in every story that was told. My niece is very picky and his description of the swordfish dish made her feel at ease with her decision and her dish might have been the best of what we had that night. Overall we really enjoyed our time there and thanks for an amazing meal.

I made a reservation a week prior to my expected dining date. I requested a table in a certain room and it was no honored nor was it mentioned to me that they would not be able to accommodate me in that room. The server was forgetful, I waited over 15 mins for my Prosecco and when I asked about it he said it wasn’t cold yet so he had it chilling in a bin next to us. A friend of mine ordered a steak mid rare, it was the bone in ribeye, they gave him a petite filet, we sent it back. My entree was the duck confit, the duck was so small, it was ridiculous. The sauce was very overpowering and the waffle was soaked in the sauce which made it too sweet as well. I planned this dinner for a party of 9 and I️ had such high expectations for flavor and service, I ended up being so embarrassed and so disappointed. I normally recommend restaurants to people and I never mention places that I didn’t enjoy but after this experience I will be sure to tell people to avoid Emril’s Delmonico at all cost.

One thing you can be sure- this is not a tired, forgotten place from a “celebrity” chef. Everything here was completely top-notch. Reservations were honored right on time. The decor is contemporary without losing the local charm.
Service was top-notch. The food was expertly and perfectly prepared- a filet and ribeye both cooked exactly as requested medium rare and delicious. There were also some great selections of half-bottle wines.
This place definitely stands up to its amazing reputation.

Food was wonderful. Enjoyed the gumbo and steak. We were celebrating a birthday and mentioned to the waiter. He brought a lemoncello and cookie plate (with happy birthday written in chocolate). We thought it was a wonderful gesture (we did not ask for either). When we got our bill both were listed with a charge. I was a bit taken back that he would charge us $20 for something we did not ask for and frankly came across as it was his gift to the birthday boy. I also thought they had a limited desert menu.

Food was very good. Service was attentive. The upstairs dining room, and our table in particular , was beyond freezing. The temperature was unbearably cold and put a damper on the whole meal. We asked our server several times to have the air conditioning adjusted but there were only a few brief moments when we had relief. We also asked for the manager but he/she never made it to our table.

Would not recommend this restaurant. The food was mediocre at best. I feel this establishment is simply charging outrageous prices based on the owners fame because his chefs and cooks certainly cannot do their job. No self respecting chef would allow cold entrees or soups out of their kitchen. Never knew that rare steak was supposed to be raw on one side and cooked halfway through on the other. Nor was I aware that gumbo was best served cold. As was the veal dish with pasta which was overcooked to the point of a mushy consistency. I truly believe beggars off the street could have done a better job preparing our meals. This place is a disgrace with a big price tag.

This was our first visit to New Orleans, and blog after blog said that we had to go to Emeril's Delmonico. The food was wonderful - just as we had anticipated! The service left a little to be desired. I was hoping for a little more interaction with the server regarding his recommendations, but he just gave a mediocre review of each item. The woman who served our wine, and was helping out had a much more lively personality and was very helpful. Overall, the food was amazing which is why we were there, but for the price I was hoping for a better overall expierence.

We came here for a pre-theater dinner on a Friday night. Our experience was perfect from the time we were greeted at the door until we left. Our waiter made excellent recommendations on each course and checked back on us frequently as did all of the staff on the floor that evening. All of the food was top notch, was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. We will plan to return next time we are in New Orleans.

We arrived early and were seated in the bar which offered a great view of the dining room and an opportunity to watch the preparation of cocktails. We found the waiter to be knowledgeable and appreciated his suggestions. The wait staff was impeccable and fastidious. Our meals were beautifully presented and full of surprising and delicious flavors. We shared the beet salad and appreciated that they brought it to us divided on separate plates. We saved room for dessert-creme brûlée and the bread pudding. Fabulous!

Barbecued shrimp, the salmon and grits entree special--both superb, really great. Lobster pumpkin soup was delicious, iceberg salad excellent, wine list encyclopedic. Drum fish entree really weak. Nice traditional New Orleans piano music in the bar. Very expensive place but the eating hits might justify it.

This is one of the best pick restaurants I've made. I was skeptical as I am about most places I visit recently but this was a gem! We sat at the bar for happy hour and tried the charbroiled oysters (awesome) and the $5 plate of fried green tomatoes which were amazing and very filling. I wasn't too fond of my cocktail but hey- you can't win them all. We sat for dinner upstairs in a nice room. It was a very "beige" atmosphere but very elegant and they gave me a seat right by the window ;) We split a wedge salad. I can't say that I loved this salad. I'm more of a chunky blue cheese kinda gal and this dressing was more of a watery buttermilk. Now- the steak is a whole new story. Literally best steak I've ever had in my life. It melted in your mouth like butter. Add the crab meat (it's worth it). The waiters were great. All in all- I'll be back for more steak soon 😘
