Located on the famed St. Charles Avenue streetcar line, Delmonico, the legendary, century-old institution, is an icon in the restaurant industry and has been a cornerstone of traditional Creole dining since 1895. Reopened by Emeril Lagasse in 1998 after an extensive historic renovation, Delmonico continues today serving a modern style of Louisiana's Creole cuisine with Emeril's warm style of service in a grand setting.

Very nice table near the window, without being able to be seen from the outside. Impeccable and attentive service. Both the appetizer and soup tasted great. The veal chop was superb. The wine list is extensive, if a bit on the pricey side for most selections.
Completely disappointing!!! Came to New Orleans to see my son who is medical school here to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary with my husband and daughter. First, despite tables opened downstairs, we were escorted up a steep set of stairs to a barely empty room with the exception of two very loud gentleman. The room was dowdy, in elegant and I felt like I was in a old dank banquet hall. Just wood paneling; actually quite depressing. The service was fine. The food was not enjoyable at all. My burrata salad was awful. Tasted terrible and all I ate was the burrata. My sons steak au Poivre was so peppery that it made it inedible... and he really likes pepper. He left most of it over. The cornbread was dry and no butter. The sides were just ok. Truthfully, a very disappointing and unmemorable meal. And expensive! I’ve been to Emeril’s Delmonico in Las Vegas as well as a few of his other restaurants and this is so clearly not on par with those in terms of taste, service, ambiance. What a complete let down on what was suppose to be a very special 35 wedding anniversary dinner. I will be back in New Orleans to see my son in September, but after this Terrible dining experience, there are too many other great restaurants in New Orleans to patronize!
The fish came out well done instead of rare. The sauce killed the taste of the fish. Do not recommend.
Once again, this was a capstone dining event in NOLA. I have been here several times and it never ceases to provide such a great experience. I had the pleasure of hosting a couple that have never been here before and they continued to compliment me, of course it was all about Delmonico's, and not me.
Will obviously go back and continue to recommend to others.
Very enjoyable evening, food was excellent as well as the hospitality and efficiency of the staff.Great ambiance in the dining room. Definitely will return on next trip to New Orleans.
Ambiance and cuisine are the finest in the country. Staff are expert and fun.
Excellent restaurant with exceptional service and incredible food. A great place for a special event.
Delmonico’s never disappoints! Vern, the General Manager is amazing and his crew follows his lead. The difference is, they care! You truly can’t beat the food, ambiance and service!!! Delmonico’s will always be my NOLA fav!!!
Great atmosphere: wonderful food and outstanding service from a first class staff.
The perfect choice for a 36th wedding anniversary dinner!
Excellent service. Beautiful restaurant. Food was great, but desserts were a disappointment. Would highly recommend.
One of the best restaurants I’ve been lucky to experience. Everything was phenomenal.
Bar was great
Two of us ordered the drum
We both felt it was so salty as to be unpalatable
One ordered the pork chop
It seemed unremarkable — tasted deep fried
Was sooo disappointed....
Lovely place, great staff, food was delicious. I look forward to coming to this place again.
Outstanding from start to finish! A must for any occasion!
Loved our servers Zory and Chris. Great job!!!
We love Delmonico's. Wife started with Barbecue shrimp which were delicious, I had the Baked oysters that were also great. I had the Filet, it was perfectly cooked and excellent flavor, she had the Veal Chop which we both enjoyed even more that the Filet. Sides of fried green tomatoes and creamed spinach gratine were great with our meals. We don't eat dessert, but having enjoyed the Baked oysters so much, I ordered another order for dessert. They were again excellent.
The service was good except it seem like it took a longer than normal time to receive cocktails after ordering them.
My sister and I went to New Orleans to celebrate her Birthday and we reserved a table at Emeril’s for the occasion. I called ahead to make a few special request and they went above and beyond! From the moment we walked in until we left, they made the night special. From the service to the food everything was amazing. The live piano player even sung my sister a birthday song when they brought out her ice cream. We will definitely be back!
The food was amazing and service was on point! The bananas foster is a must have!
The service was impeccable; the soft shell crab was divine. This is now my new favorite restaurant in NOLA!
Staff was great and the food was awesome. Loved it!
I do recommend this place. Food very good. Service was very attentative and appeared to be happy to serve you.
All staff wonderful. Felt rushed to make dinner selection by waiter, though. Food was salty and swimming in and buried by sauces. Loved the atmosphere but would not return or recommend.
A group of girlfriends and I had enjoyed dinner for a friends 30th birthday. The service was great! The food and drinks came out in a speedy manor also. We were greeted with full glasses of water, a surprise appetizer and free glass of sparkling wine. Each meal served came out quickly and was delicious.
Food and ambiance was perfect. Service was on the ball and everything you would expect! I asked the waiter to surprise me because I couldn’t decide between the lobster d’iberville or the shrimp bordelaise. He brought me out a covered plate and revealed the shrimp bordelaise but he had asked the chef to add crawfish to the dish. “Mini lobsters” since you couldn’t decide. Well done!
Fantastic meal and service. We had Louisiana Drum Almandine, Waygu Ribeye, Lyonnaise Potatoes and Bourbon Bread Pudding.
Sunday night the four of us had an outstanding meal at Emeril's Delmonico. We could not have asked for more, than the fabulous dining experience we had.
Caviar, champagne, turtle soup, Wagyu beef, great fish dishes and cocktails that were perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant, among the finest in New Orleans.
The whole experience was super. It was a wedding anniversary celebration and the cake and dexorative plate were very nicely done. Server was exceptional. My steak the 20 oz ribeye was chewy and not very tender. The rest of everyone's meal were truly fantastic. I will come back.
We were early but were seated within 60 seconds. The free introductory mini-watermelon slice with caviar on top was a lovely, action-oriented welcome. The service is very proficient: quite accommodating without being intrusive, which is difficult to come by in a higher-end restaurant. The Louisiana Drum Meniure (spelling) was probably the most delicious and overall most incredible seafood dish I have ever eaten anywhere, and at 60-years-old that is profound, but I will stand by it. The fish itself was cooked to perfection- flaky and melting in your mouth. The artichokes were also cooked to perfection. The highlight of the dish was the sauce along with the almonds encrusted on top of the drum. The bourbon-pecan pie with the ice cream on top was the perfect topper to an incredible meal. The ambiance is very ordinary, almost mundane, but it didn't detract from the meal. The tables in some instances are very close together (I could easily hear the conversation of the folks next to us) but again....it did not detract from the meal. The prices were reasonable for such a high-end restaurant. Our final bill was just over $100 including two meals, a dessert, and no alcohol. It was truly an incredible dining experience and a most excellent place to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary.
It was our daughter’s 21st birthday. She was treated like a queen. The meal was fantastic, the servers were friendly and professional.
My wife & I had a wonderful dinner at Emeril's Delmonico in celebration of her birthday! We were treated to Prosecco at the beginning of the meal with quick & excellent service and the meal was incredible. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great steak and classic New Orleans atmosphere.
My wife and I are locals. Demonico's has achieved excellence in all phases of being a restaurant. I especially liked the tableside Sazerac cart -- and real absinthe is used, if you want it. Our waiter was Kevin, who was attentive and friendly. We split a crabmeat Remick and each had a steak. Everything was great.
Delmonico's is not cheap, but it's really good.
Very good but the background music was awful. Piano downstairs was great. Possibly a bad speaker.
Great service is one thing. Sustained exceptional service not nearly as easy. The staff at Delmonico is still as sharp and on point as they were years ago. Really outstanding dining experience.
The food was solid and creative. Everything we had we enjoyed. The service was great and really attentive overall. There were multiple people around, but especially the woman who was at our table (regretfully, I didn't catch her name) was so kind and very warm. Overall, it was a great experience.
Exceptional service and fabulous food. A very enjoyable dinner
The food was excellent, service was impeccable, and the ambience was perfect. My first experience at one of Emeril’s restaurants was everything I hoped it would be.
Consistently outstanding! A great special occasion restaurant.
Everyone was absolutely amazing!
