Emeril's Chop House at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem Ratings and Reviews
The menu changed and we’re not happy with it. We loved the veal chop not offered now.
The Halibut was swimming in a spicy sauce and spoiled the fish
Service was slow had to get their attention for service several times. The renovation is very nice , like the booths.
Very disappointed won’t be back.
Disappointed with the new menu. They had one of the best steaks I ever ate in both flavor and tenderness. My last visit after the remodel and menu had a very tender steak with no flavor. And unfortunately all of us ordered the same strip steak that came out
slightly warm and not hot. I would of sent it back but the staff never can back to ask how everything was . For the price this was a disappointing meal for the family. Not sure what the issue was as I have been there half a dozen times before and it was outstanding.
Excellent dinner located in the Sands Casino. Don't let the location keep you from enjoying this great restaurant. If you like to gamble, and you have some extra money to spend, this is a great place to eat while enjoying the casino . Excellent food, and service. This restaurant is located close to the main door, so it is easily accessible for special occasions or date night if gambling is not your thing. Typical steak house menu with sides to share for an additional fee. Able to customize your meal with seafood add ons as well for a surf and turf fare. Portions were substantial and very well prepared. Attentive and informative wait staff. Nice vibe in the restaurant, elegant without being pretentious . Would definitely go back when craving a delicious steak dinner. Other options also available other than beef, and one pasta entree if you are vegetarian .
The food was pretty good but the service was very slowwwwww... we even had 2 folks who introduced themselves to us as our servers. It was the manager who actually brought us our wine and check after we had to ask for both... and it wasn’t even busy. It was a Tuesday night and not all table were full.
To be honest I was a bit disappointed. I dinned at Emerils a couple of years ago and it was excellent. I had a steak which was out of this world. This time around my steak was nowhere as thick & tender. It also had way too much fat throughout the cut. The salad (chop house)was ordinary as was my appetizer (perogie?)
The food was very good. There was 4 of us and they served 3 of us but messed up one of the orders. So we ate in front of him and then his ate his while we sat there. They compensated him with a bowl of soup. That being said the food was delicious. And they were opened on Christmas Day!
My husband and I were looking forward going to this place.
But unfortunetly, our experience was rather disappointing.
Atmosphere was nice, and our server was very pleasant. This is where our positive impression stops, because food was very mediocre. I had halibut, and kale was overcooked, souce was too sour ,and fish itself was burnt on one side.
My husband had filet mignon. It was ok. Somewhat dry. Probably would be good for 20$ price tag, but not for the price of this restaurant.
Our expectations were defiently higher.
I would not reccomend this place. Rather go to seafood restaurant. You will get better value for the price.
As always, food and service are outstanding. Duran has been our server several times and he always pays attention to details. We will continue to make this our special occasion restaurant.
It’s rare to find a restaurant that has equally good service and food. At The Chop House, we can count on it every time.
The food was well prepared and the various dishes were enjoyed by everyone. The Salmon was delicious while the strip steak was well prepared, but perhaps for most people, a bit too generous a portion, and the oysters were particularly fresh and accompanied by several condiments. Service was generally good, but there was too long a wait from being seated to being asked about cocktails and the coffee at the end of the meal, was very poor, especially, if you drink it black.
Our dinner experience was a huge disappointment. We had dinner for six at 5:45 pm prior to a show. There was a show menu designed to get you in and out before the show. We were seated and drink orders taken. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. Therefore we placed our dinner order when the drinks arrived. Salads cane out quickly so we thought thinks were righted. Apparently that wait was typical. We waited 40 minutes after salads and still no dinner. I asked where our dinner was and our concern about timing and the show. Miraculously, when I asked our dinner arrived. The steaks, salmon, and scallops were lukewarm. The pork chop garnish under the pork chop was flat and dried. We surmise the meals were done and were sitting in a staging area until I inquired. The excuse was they were busy. We had dessert included but had to leave 5 minutes after it arrived. Understand that, but this is a high end restaurant and not new so the is no excuse for the timing. A high end restaurant prides itself on food preparation, food quality, ambiance, and service. Spending almost $400 for a high end dinner and getting service of this caliber is unacceptable. I have not had to wait such unusually lengthy times in any previous dining experience. A restaurant of this stature should not be tolerating this level of service. The server apologized, but in this instance and given the type of restaurant, I would expect the manager to have personally apologize. Emeril’s was a huge disappointment. We will not be recommending this restaurant.
Our whole experience at the Chop house was excellent. We went before a show and they had a pre show fixed price menu as well as their regular menu. I ordered from the pre show menu and my husband ordered off the regular menu. Both meals were excellent. They also have a very good wine list. The banana cream pie was out of this world!
Great service and very good food. The new décor makes the place a little more intimate than it was. Plan to be about a half hour early so you can have a drink at the bar with two of the best bartenders in the valley. ( Brent and Megan). If you like pork chops, you will be amazed by how big and tender these chops are. Don't wait until the last minute to make your reservation because this place books up fast.
Dined there for our Christmas Girls Night Out. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was so nice and attentive. Two had the filet mignon and I had the salmon. It was fun sharing the three side dishes. It was an expensive dinner, but we’re worth it! Can’t wait to go back!
Third time going here......first two times, the food and service was outstanding. This last time, the service was poor up until we got a new waiter. Steaks we ordered medium and they came to us well done with zero pink. Asked them to fix and brought us two new ones that were still slightly over cooked, but manageable. The initial waitress had no response to this other than it wasn’t her fault. Took zero responsibility and wasn’t even sorry for it. There was no retribution shown on the check either for making us wait another 30 mins to get our food and left our sides to get cold.
Normally a great place to eat with great food, but this time, had bad service and the food was below par.
Three friends and myself thought we were treating ourselves to a nice dinner before a show. While the service was impeccable, the food was just ok. Three of us got pork chops; two were so fatty that they had to cut off almost 1/2. We were expecting more from the name “Emeril”.
My friends and I have had dinner at Emiril’s Chop House a few times. Each time we went away happy. This time was a whole different experience. From the moment we tried to check in we had a bad vibe. We arrived 10 minutes early for a 5:00 reservation. We walked through the bar where a few people were sitting. We approached the reception area where Jessica looked at us like ‘how dare we approach her before 5:00.’ We told her we had reservations to which she replied that we would have to wait outside until 5:00. We weren’t even directed back to the bar area, we were just told to basically get out. When 5:00 arrived we were seated and I told the manager about Jessica’s attitude. He apologized and said he would talk to her about it. Too late. She already set the tone. Three of us ordered a drink that we get in other restaurants ... it was so strong that I barely drank half of it and resorted to water. There were 7 of us. One of the girls had a shrimp allergy and asked that there not be shrimp in her meal and was assured there wouldn’t be. Well, guess what? When her plate arrived there was shrimp laying on top of it. So, her dinner went back and she waited patiently for another to arrive. The food was ok. I remember it being better and was disappointed, as we were looking forward to the meal since we made our reservation over a month prior. It wasn’t a wholly terrible experience, but it was not at all what we had been used to experiencing on our other visits to this restaurant.
