Emeril's Chop House at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem Ratings and Reviews
We have been to this restaurant many times. This time it was a disappointment. Food was average. It was not worth the high price tag . We felt this time it would have been just as good to go to a chain steakhouse for the value. We were very disappointed. It will be along time before we go back.
Located within the Sands Casino this is a steak house worth visiting. Good food and good service. I felt that the server could have been more attentive, but the managers made up for the difference. Not the best steak house, but right up there with the chain steak houses.
The food is always good here. The service was exceptionally slow. The server did not check to see if our steak was done the way we like it. Later she stopped -- luckily our meat was done perfectly. She never asked if we wanted another drink. When the other server brought our dessert, which was included in the special, he left before we had a chance to order coffee. We sat for awhile before she brought our bill.
We were seated at a round table with a semi-circular couch/lounge. My feet didn't reach the floor and my feet and legs started to go to sleep. Definitely will ask for a table with regular chairs next time we go.
Our server didn't refill my empty water until I was leaving. My wife and I felt that we were given friendly service at the end of our meal, when we were given the check. It then felt disingenuous. Food was good. However, my wife found a hair on her bread plate. Overall, our dining experience was sub par.
Went there with Hubby for Valentines Day. I should have just stayed home and cooked and had a romantic meal. We was sat right between two other couples like sardines. If whispered they still can hear our conversation. It’s was bright Lights over us. Waiters were too busy to check if we needed anything. IT WAS NOT ROMANTIC AT ALL! Overpriced BUT the food was GOOD. I would not ever go back there on. Valentines Day again!
My wife and I dine at the chop house on a regular basis. We've always had a great experience, this last dining experience wasn't that good. We went for my daughters 19th birthday, four of us, my daughter's steak and mine were both over cooked, the resolution by the manager was that he would bring us two new meals, but I told him no because our other two guests would have been done with their meal, they brought over two steaks anyway, which we brought home, needless to say they are still in my fridge ready to be thrown out. I expect my food order to come out correctly at this high end restaurant. My daughter was especially disappointed. She looks forward to dining there
We have dined several times a year since Emeril’s opened. Our previous visit was very disappointing but figured we would give one more try after the renovation. Very glad we did. We were greeted warmly and when I asked for a specific server it was no problem. Service and food were excellent. Emeril’s is back on our preferred list!
We enjoyed the service was wonderful and the food was good. We had to go to an event there and we got our food in plenty of time to get us to where we had to be. I would come back and bring friends ,you can sit at the bar while your table is ready and everyone that comes in gets a nice welcome from the front entrance to the servers. Good job but I must say I've been there to eat many times and it is usually takes to long to get your meal but the other night 2/13/18 there were faster then ever.
Ate at both Emerils Fish and Chop house over the weekend, appetizers better then entrees, Ahi tuna not fresh and cooked improperly New York strip steak dry and over cooked ordered
medium rare got medium to well. Stick to the food courts less expensive and some great food.
First time. Filet was tender and flavorful and so was the bbq shrimp (a signature must). Would love to come back and try a daily special. The specials when i was there sounded absolutely delicious. The side i chose was the brussel sprouts. It was ok, not bad but I wish it wasn’t so regular (chestnuts were minimal and I tasted no candied bacon that was supposed to be in the dish).
I thought that the new menu gave you a lot of great choices to choose from. There was something for everyone and the new seating is more comfortable. Our waiters were excellent throughout our entire meal and never made us feel rushed. We were a group of six and everyone was very impressed. Pricing was fair for the quality of food that was served.
My friends steak had to be sent back twice due to it not being cooked properly. The calamari that was ordered probably only had about 15 pieces which is very little for the price paid. The steaks my friends and I had lacked flavor. I felt like I needed to put salt on my steak but didn’t do it because I felt someone else, like another customer, would see and that would ruin the restaurants chances of anyone ordering a steak. The place was nice and the waiters were pleasant but I wouldn’t return.
Steak was pricey but very good. The staff was very good - friendly and attentive. The manager looked at every dish before it was served and checked with us to follow up when we sent drinks back. Unfortunately, my dining companion found a piece of parchment paper in her Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes, which kind of put a damper on what was otherwise an excellent dining experience. The staff was very apologetic and bought us dessert, but in a restaurant of this caliber, I would not expect to find parchment paper in the potatoes! Clearly this was a kitchen issue, but I was very impressed with the way the wait staff and manager dealt with it.
Our experience at Emerils was very good. I'm not sure how they constantly pick unfriendly maitre de's but Saturday was no exception. We reserved a quiet table out of traffic and they sat us at the first table right outside the kitchen! Wow, incompetent food and beverage badged manager. After moving us, things were spectacular. Our servers were great and the NY Strip and filets were excellent. The house wedge salad and Caesar salads were good too. We stay away from the soups because they stray too far from traditional and are not good. The homemade ice cream finished off an excellent meal. If you are a drinker try the Chop House Manhattan.
Usually the experience is very good here but this time it just missed the mark. Appetizers had a lobster bisque with the tiniest piece of lobster known to man and a house salad which was not bad. Unfortunately I ordered the pork chop and had high hopes. While the sweet potato puree and bbq sauce was nice the chop itself was just terrible. Around 6 inches high i could hardly cut into it and was more like a ham than a pork chop. Just not good. My dining mate got a new york strip which is usually great but this time fatty and tough. We split mashed potatoes which were good. I was so disapointed was hoping to have another great meal there but felt it was a waste over $200+
My wife and I enjoyed another nice dining experience at Emeril’s chop house. The food was excellent, though we did seem to have a little trouble convincing the server, that we new how we wanted a steaks prepared. We have eaten at Emeril’s a few times and always enjoyed it.
