Emeril's Chop House at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem Ratings and Reviews
Great dinner. The food was outstanding! Our wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We really enjoed ourselves! Menu is a bit pricey, although the food was very high quality. Didn;t lik sitting up front. Made it seem almost like you were sitting in the casino, so if I had to do it again, I would ask to sit in the main part of the restaurant.
My wife & I decided to go to Emeril's Chop House to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We held our rehearsal dinner here and it holds special meaning to us. Fantastic food, great service, & the manager recognized the two of us from the rehearsal dinner. Our desserts & a round of drinks were comped for us!
1. Requested a quiet table, was put in the center where it was super noisey. 2, I ordered soup and did not get it. I was charged for it and I had to tell waitress I never got it. 3. Our dirty dishes were left to long in front of us instead of being cleared when we were finished. 4. Waitress service was slow. 5. Food over priced. I’m going back to seafood house
Food and wait staff was on point.
The small observations we were sat up against the wait station but did not find it to be a distraction. Which I had thought would be.
Thought the host area could have been a little more welcoming but can understand if things were on the busy side.
We have been to Emeril's Chop House, and it has always been a favorite. This last visit, however, was beyond disappointing. The food was fair, the service was sparse, and the entire experience was sub par. We plan on spending $175 for 2 for dinner at another restaurant next time. This used to be a go to restaurant; it is now off of our preferred list.
They just redid the entire restaurant, this is our 3rd time here(1st since reopening on 11/20)and it's beautiful. Two waiters/waitresses per table. Food is amazing, best filet I have ever eaten and I have been to the world famous Palm. Emeril's blows the Palm out of the water.
We were celebrating my Grandson's 18th Birthday. He has been enjoying his birthdays
here for the last 6 years. Originally he wanted to go because he liked to cook and enjoyed the great food. He was encouraged by Chef Stacy Calles and he has had special birthdays here ever since. We even have special waiters and this year we had Tomba and Elizabeth again. We are now like family. Stacy is now the Executive Chef and surprised him when he arrived. Manager Jason and Shift Supervisor William also came and wished my Grandson a Happy Birthday. A great personal and gourmet experience for anyone.
We had a 6:45 pm reservation on Thanksgiving...
we ordered drinks and explained to the waitress we would be taking our time...she did not like that answer...she said well you are going to have to make up your minds soon...the kitchen closes at 8...this is not the first yr we have dined here on Thanksgiving. ..we made a reservation...kept it and we are not the type of people that rush through dinner...we dine...we were not happy with the abrupt comment...we should have been told about the kitchen when they called and confirmed..I would have moved it up 15 to 30 min if possible...you accepted our reservation and time..we should not feel like we were being rushed....on the other hand we enjoyed the food...just wasn't happy with our welcome
My wife and I were there for our wedding anniversary. The decor is very nice and our waiters were very attentive. Service was great. The food fell very short of expectations. My wife ordered the N.Y. strip medium. It was served rare. I ordered the bone in ribeye medium rare. It was cooked as ordered. However, it was full of connective tissue. This was by far one of the toughest steaks I have ever been served. I had high expectations from a restaurant owned by Emeril. Very disappointing.
Food was excellent. Everyone at the table enjoyed their selections. Service involved two staff; the main waitress and a young gentleman who brought water, cleared the table throughout the meal. The young gentleman was very personable, engaging, efficient and very good. Our waitress, while very personable was not overly efficient. Drink orders were slow to arrive, requests for additional butter while acknowledged never were delivered to the table.
The menu is pricey which is fine because the food is excellent but for the price I expect the best of service to go along with the fine food. Service from our waitress was good but not excellent. Good service is expected anywhere. For this price I would expect excellent service.
The fixed price menu is a very good option if you are at the Sands for a show. One person at our table used the price fix menu and noted the salmon was the best she ever had eaten
Went here for our anniversary:
Overpriced for the quality received, but that is to be expected in a casino. Tables are too close together and too big(long) to hold a conversation - poor set up.
Calamari was soggy :(
Oysters were fantastic
Mash Potatoes were a bit greasy
Steak was delicious.
Staff friendly and courteous.
A little overpriced for the food. Starters were the best part of the meal. Presentation was good but the steaks had no flavor. Service was good in the beginning but toward the end of the meal it was sparce. When we paid the check we split it on two cards because there two couples. The ran the same card twice charging one card twice. We went back to check to see if it was a mistake and it clearly was. We were in a hurry and told them to just keep it on one card. For $350 we expected a better experience considering they were not that busy. Very disappointed.
This restaurant was a really exceptional "chop" house. The steaks, lamb chops, salads were really excellent, helped, of course, by the preparation of La Freida steaks. The sides of creamed corn (very garden fresh corn), cauliflower saute and mashed potatoes were also tasty and family style served. Salads were fresh, not overly dressed and healthy portion sized. One party said the gumbo was the best he ever tasted and he visits New Orleans often. My Australian lamb chops were perfectly cooked and as good as I've had anywhere.
If we had one complaint ,and it was a complaint, was with the price of the wine! The wine list was great but......(two couples with wine cellars and many visits to Napa) a single Rombauer Chardonnay (list price $34) was selling here for $120. That is ridiculous. We've recently been to La Bernadin in NYC and their wines were not 4x the retail price. No one likes to be gouged - 3x or 2x a retail price would not have made us sit up and take notice! 4x is crazy.
We assumed that being in a casino made Emeril think he could take advantage of high rollers?
Only one of us gambled.
Again though, food was exceptional!
My boyfriend and I went to dinner at the Chop House before the Diana Ross concert. We ordered from the Pre-Show fixed menu -- excellent options offered! The portions were substantial and the food was absolutely amazing!
The staff was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable!!!
We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends and we definitely plan on going back!!!
