Awesome food and service as always!
I love the brisket fettuccini! We were very happy with our meals and will dine there again.
Food was ok , but service was fantastic.
Atmosphere was ok.
The whole experience we had was great! Server was very kind, 3 TV's with a variety to watch, got seated very quickly. Our food was also amazing, we had the 4 cheese pasta, grilled cheese, brisket pasta, and tenderloin. My husband said his tenderloin was a true Indiana special. Would recommend!
One of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had for a while! All the workers we encountered were friendly and fun. Our food was amazing! Our waiter, Jake, was just the right amount of helpful and fun without being intrusive. Our entire party had a wonderful time and great food. We'll be back.
great food, great service by Max. Excellent cocktails before dinner.
Ember is a small restaurant located at the edge between Virginia and East Streets. Because of the Devour offerings, we had a reservation. We had the deconstructed nachos. What a delight! We also tried the Caprese toasts, but they were rather bland. We both ordered the Brisket dinner. This came with a very generous 8 oz. slab of brisket, mashed potatoes, veggies and au jus. The flavor was well developed and we barely needed a fork to cut it! To round out the meal, we then shared the candied pecan-covered ice cream ball. Needless to say, the crunch of the pecans along with a very nice ice cream was great! Service was very good, and we plan to come back for another excellent meal!
Always a great dining experience. Great service and food. A special birthday celebration for my sister.
Sunday brunch was great! There was a self-serve coffee bar with local coffee- such a brilliant idea. The coffee bar had milk, cream, syrups, sauces, and whipped cream- even hot water for hot tea or coco. The menu was simple yet offered so many complex flavors. It was exactly what we were looking for. The brisket gravy and cheesy grits were superb. Even the scrambled eggs were so much better than other brunch offerings in the area. Our server, Steven, was outstanding. The only thing that threw me off was the pop country music station they were playing- it didn't really match the interior ambiance. This was a minor thing for me and it would not deter me from going back or recommending this establishment to my friends/family.
It was our 4th time to Ember. We love our server Matt, and were happy to be in his section again. This is our special place to celebrate important events, while relaxing in a great environment.
Embers is an excellent eating place with great food. The owners and staff are very friendly! We have eaten here several times and have never been dissatisfied. We’ll definitely return!
Brisket Reuben was very good. Meat very tender, good combo of kraut and mustard. Husbands Cuban sandwich wasn’t bad but not nearly enough meat on it. We ordered French onion soup as a side with our sandwiches. Was very hearty but definitely lacking in flavor. I’m not one to normally add salt and pepper to any of my food but soup just did not have much flavor. Love the ambiance of the restaurant and our server was great. Will definitely consider visiting again in the future
Went on a Monday night, not very busy but was still a great vibe and the food tasted great. Wait staff was awesome and very attentive and friendly. The portion sizes were bigger than expected and well worth the price. Definitely looking forward to going back
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waiter was attentive and quite funny. The restaurant has a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. We will be back!
Great food and great service as usual! The Cajun tenderloin is excellent.
We have eaten at Ember Urban several times and it does not disappoint. I love the brisket and my husband usually gets some type of pasta. It's easy to get reservations on Open Table. It's like eating downtown without all the parking hassles. Our server was great. We will be back!
Great service and food was good! Three of us had the brisket and the flavor was amazing but a little dry. I think it was because of how busy they were with the Devour Indy event. I would definitely try the brisket again. We sampled the wings and they were very good! Highly recommend the potato croquets if you are a potato lover! Our server, Jake, was a huge help and made our dining experience a fun evening.
My wife, son and I ate there last week for Devour.
The wife and I had the baked goat cheese appetizer with crostini. It was delicious. My son got the potato croquettes. The white bbq sauce that came with it was outstanding.
The wife and I got the blackened tuna steak. It was ok, but if I went back I’d get something else. My son had the Cajun brisket pasta. It was rich and flavorful.
We got the pecan candy dessert. I don’t often order dessert but the wife and I loved it.
In reading some of the reviews Matt’s name came up several times. Turns out he was our server. He was personable and helpful.
We dined outside on a beautiful evening. It’s a nice view of the city and the traffic noise was not bad.
We all agreed we’d go back.
Our server Jacob was amazing! Food was great— all three courses. They even put little candles on our deserts to celebrate our anniversary. Loved this place and we will definitely be back!
Every time we dine at Ember Urban, it is a great experience. Wonderful food and outstanding service. Looking forward to our next visit.
We went during Devour Indy which I took advantage of. Good vegetarian options. Good desserts and wide variety on menu
The food was outstanding. Cocktails were great. We dined during Devour Indy. Great portion sizes and great price. We were well taken care of. We will be back!
Incredible blackened tuna! Best I’ve had in Indy. Great atmosphere - quiet but busy.
They seriously made us feel like regulars on our first visit. Staff are so friendly and the food is amazing.
It was pretty quiet when we walked in around 6:00 pm. Stayed pretty quiet for the evening. Very good food but even better service. The Chicken wings are really great.
We loved the atmosphere. The service was wonderful and food was delicious. We will be making this a regular dining spot!
Delicious! We ate here prior to a concert at Banker’s Life Fieldhouse. We arrived by 6:30, ordered finished our meal and drinks and walked to the concert to arrive just after 7:30. The warmup act had just started so we were happy with our entire experience that evening.
The customer service was awesome, the restaurant is new, clean and very nice. they played low music, a nice moderately quiet place to enjoy someone's company. The food... I had the Brisket Dinner. Absolutely awesome!! My wife had the Chicken Marsala. She loved it. I forgot... we had an appetizer, fire cracker shrimp. Really good... and fresh side salads. I would recommend this restaurant.
The food and service were great! Can’t wait to go back!
Ember has become one of our favorite downtown “go to” places. The weather was perfect so we dined outside and enjoyed a beautiful view of the city. We explained that we had tickets for an 8:00 performance by the ISO on monument circle and had some time to kill. They told us we were welcome to take as long as we needed to order, and delivered our meal precisely when we requested it. We always get excellent service there, but Brittany was especially helpful in making sure everything was timed perfectly. It was a very enjoyable dining experience and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
We met friends for dinner at the restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful! We were given ample time to visit, the staff was friendly and the noise level was low so that we could easily hat with our friends. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the smoked chicken wings. They were delicious!
Excellent local experience with home cooking. The TBL sandwich is worth a special trip.
The Ember Urban Eatery has a great atmosphere that is in a great location with friendly staff and a wide variety of food that will appeal to a wide variety of tastes. There is a wide select of local and national brands of beer. The wines appear to be mostly international.
We have enjoyed this casual atmosphere will a couple of set of friends and all enjoyed their time there as well as the food. It is nice to have a place where you can talk to friends w/out talking very loud to be heard.
Each of the food items that our groups have had were enjoyable. The Urban wings lived up to their high repetition and our friends truly enjoyed the Potato Croquettes and Baked Goat Cheese. Our favorites in the main menu were the tenderloin, spinach salad w/ salmon, tilapia, and the brisket sandwich.
That fact that the owners are there working in the restaurant and how the employees seem to relate well to them reinforces this friendly, casual place.
One of the worst things about moving away from downtown/Fletcher Place is no longer going to Ember as often! We have enjoyed this neighborhood spot since it opened and now that we visit less frequently it's even more of a treat. The service is always fantastic, the food is delicious, and the setting is very nice. We love Ember!
This was our first trip and the four of us tried a wide variety of entrees/sandwiches. All of us were impressed. Our caretaker for the evening was extraordinary. We were there early (5:30); and the place filled by 6:15ish. Parking was adequate and free at that time. Definitely on my list as a favorite.
Always good food (NY Strip...flavor us amazing!!), 'special orders dont upset us', awesome service by the tall, dred, deeped voice waiter!!
Ember was a great place to bring my fiancé’s parents for a quiet, relaxed meal in a space that still has a casual pub atmosphere. It was easy to find parking, and we were seated immediately. The service was great and our server answered any questions we had with a solid knowledge of the menu. The wings were outstanding. I had a brisket sandwich that was great. They had options for the pickier eaters in our party as well. Pretty good selection of craft beers on tap. I will be back.
Great food and great service!
