Named after Elias (Ely) Shapley of Greenville, Mississippi, Ely’s was established in 2008 with an emphasis on the highest quality beef, seafood, and spirits, while featuring an extensive wine list and friendly professional service.     Had a great meal with some friends. The sautéed crab claws were the best I have ever had. The steaks were cooked perfect and the service was exactly what you would expect at a nice place. This wasn’t my first time at Elys and have already got a date picked out to go again.

    Visiting our daughter and this was her pick to eat out one night while there. The food was amazing! We had steak and also the tuna. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Our sever paired an excellent wine to go with the our meal. Staff is very friendly.

    Went for our 5th anniversary. Elys even sent me an email regarding our upcoming anniversary. No one acknowledged it or asked if we were celebrating anything special. Had to ask for water refills multiple times. Food quality was decent. Appetizer was great. Salad good. Sides were great. Main course was lackluster. The scallops, which used to be best in town, weren’t fully cooked. They substituted redfish for the blackfish, but it was super fishy flavor, couldn’t even finish it. Used to be my favorite restaurant in town, but after last night, may not return.

    Great service and the food was good as always. Just was disappointed the crab claws were out.

    Reservations were easy and our table was ready as soon as we walked in. The server, Amanda, was wonderful and present the entire evening. We never felt rushed, but always felt attended to. The food was absolutely amazing including perfect temps on the steaks. The cocktails were prompt and tasty. Mandie, the bartender, even swung by the table to check on us which was a great perk! Noise level was a little high due to a fairly large table that had gotten into the drinks, but they were having a good time and so we’re we. My wife and I both agreed the food and experience was well worth the price. We will absolutely be returning!!

    We met my brother and sister in law for dinner on Friday night. The service was great! Mandie was our waitress and she was fabulous! Our food was superb. We had eggplant and artichokes for an appetizer. We all ordered beef and it was cooked to perfection. Our cocktails were great as well. Every time we have eaten here it has been a wonderful experience!

    I wanted to introduce my friends to this restaurant after my initial visit. We made our own tasting menu. I was not disappointed and my friends were equally impressed. The eggplant appetizer is so good. The flavor pairs so well with sauce. Our server was good and the noise level allowed for conversation.

    The wait staff was good. The ambience was nice though tables are too close together. Not too noisy. Spirit and wine selection was good. All of the food was good except my steak, which was flavorless. Since this is a restaurant that majors on steak, this is a major ding on the restaurant. Koestler’s Prime and Char both serve much more flavorable steaks. My steaks off the grill at home have more flavor. While everything was nice and our deserts were comped because I didn’t care for my steak, with better options in the area, I probably won’t be back.

    Waited for about 30 minutes even though we had reservations, which allowed us the opportunity to grab some drinks. Atmosphere was nice, but laid back as well. Crab claws were excellent, but artichoke quarters were alright at best. The fish tasted weird. The spinach au gratin was alright but nothing amazing. The filet was the best thing the whole night! If I came back I would definitely would get it again. Overall Ely’s was good but with so many other places in this area, probably won’t come back often.

    We arrived 20 minutes early but were seated in 5 minutes. Our server Allison was welcoming and took our drink order and appetizer order. Our drinks arrived quickly and the appetizer arrived. She gave us ample time to enjoy both before returning to take our entrée orders. Our food arrived and was excellent. I had the ribeye and my wife had the redfish. We asked Allison to take our picture which she gladly obliged. We always enjoy our visits to Ely’s!

    We had heard great things about Ely’s and were excited to try it out for a special occasion. Dinner wasn’t more expensive than we expected, but the flavor of the steak wasn’t as good as many other places we’ve tried. It was cooked well, but tasted bland. Overall, we enjoyed our experience because he service was great, the room we were in was quiet and everything else was good. Probably won’t be back with several other options in Jackson.

    Excellent as always. Food was great. The server was perfect. The only thing I would give feedback on is that the guy who came to our table interrupted our conversation to ask how we were doing. It was so loud and abrupt, I think he made at least two of us jump. I will request next time that he does not do that. Everything was great up to that point.
