Elway's Vail Ratings and Reviews
Have been here several times & even had a private party here because you know you will always get exceptional food & service. And this anniversary dinner was no exception. The pricing is on the steep side but the portions are very generous. If you, like me, love leftovers, this is the place for you!! My husband had the rib eye...I had a taste...omg...melt in your mouth delicious! I had the salmon...delicious...but I shudda got the steak...! And gluten free savvy!!
We had a nice anniversary dinner in the glass enclosed atrium portion of the restaurant. It was very quiet and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We both had filets which were cooked to perfection and our service was very good. I would definitely return for another visit.
Elway's is a great steakhouse, no matter which location you go to...but being able to go to the location in Vail is extra special. Great wine pairings are possible with a good wine list and a Sommelier on-site. Plenty of night-life available within walking distance right outside in Vail Village.
We were indecisive on dinner plans for to scheduling events around the weather. Our great fortune is that open table had several openings at Elways. Our last dinner in Vail turned out to be our best. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and the flavor was perhaps one of the best I've had. Bring from the Mid West I've had some great ones but this is right at the top. Great job to the chef's at Elways Vail.
Lovely table in the window room. Gorgeous views of fall foliage and snow falling. Wine and meal were excellent. All 3 of us well pleased. Portions were decent and flavors amazing. Muscles, steak 3 different salds and burger ... all delicious. Great service and a great time was had by all.
Food was amazing, my wife and I went there for our anniversary. Meal was amazing and the staff were professional. Any questions we had the staff was able to answer without hesitation. If you are thinking about trying this place, DO IT, you will not be disappointed.
The food was as expected, however the service was subpar at best. Wait staff was borderline rude and seemed to be more attentive to what seemed to be friends in the restaurant.
We went to the sushi place next door the following night and had a much better experience.
We were very disappointed. We have changed our plans to visit the Denver location when our family meets next month.
This was our first visit to Elways. We were given the choice to sit inside or out and given the beautiful evening we chose outdoors. It was quiet and pleasant -the staff were very attentive and helpful. And they read my special note on the reservation and recognized T's birthday.
So many great restaurants in vail , but would rate this a solid 4. 4 of us had variety of entrees , the bone in ribeye was good but not outstanding. Trout entree was excellent and lobster appetizer was great presentation but bit too chewy in texture. Grilled artichoke app was outstanding. Service was excellent. The one thing that brings overall score down to 4 Are the wine prices -$29 for a glass of very mediocre red wine -ridiculous
We loved our dinner at Elways. The food was excellent as was the service. The location of the Vail restaurant is one of my favorites, surrounded by beautiful wildflowers that attract humming birds and a lovely outdoor deck. My family and I all agreed we will book again when we are back at Christmas.
We love Elway's because if you are not so hungry, there are fish tacos or if super hungry, a great steak. We sat outside and had a delicious, unhurried dinner. Eddie selected a great wine for us and our servers were great. We have taken guests to Elway's at Vail and they have always been throughly pleased.
We have been to Elway's Cherry Creek many times and we always have great experiences. We are familiar with the menu and the service is consistently fantastic, always above and beyond.
For our anniversary dinner last weekend at the Elway's Vail location our steaks both came out well done, not medium as we had ordered. My husband's NY Strip was even more charred than mine, so he asked that it be re-cooked. When they brought it back a second time the steak was well done again (charred, no pink). He chose to eat it rather than wait for a third steak. Our waitresses seemed embarrassed but not motivated to fix the issue, as they did not wait for the new steak to be checked. Their response to the inconvenience was to bring us an extra sauce. This would have been nice had we not already ordered two sauces. We did not need a third sauce and this did not address the issue of the overcooked steaks, but I imagine it was the cheapest item they could find to give us for free. The table next to us also sent back an overcooked steak, which took a half hour to be replaced. The manager did not take notice of the issue at either table or visit our tables during the meal, as he was preoccupied asking a group of 4 adults with a baby to move tables so he could make room for another reservation. Poor service and poor planning. We will not return to this Elway's location again.
