So, looking over the menu, I asked my server what his preference was. I told him I’d already had the LBLT and to choose a sandwich for me. Lo and behold, a LBLT arrives. 🤔😳🧐 Pretty sure it wasn’t rocket science to choose a different item on the menu.
Our dinner was fabulous all around. Thank you for the special touches making our anniversary dinner memorable.
The food was absolutely horrible 😩
We revisited Elway's for our 30th Anniversary and it was exceptional. Wonderful food, atmosphere and waitstaff . We will be back again for sure!
Food was below average-prefrozen rubbery fish, average tasting filet mignon topped by overly large blue cheese butter hunk that was still frozen. Sub-par food at medium-high prices. Skip Elway’s.
Awesome restaurant, great food, nice wine list, wonderful atmosphere.
Our steaks were very good but the sides and wine were very overpriced. Whole experience was very good just not great.
Awesome evening with great service!
After waiting more than 10 minutes my boyfriend had to wave someone down and ask for our sever. The service didn’t get any better. Drinks weren’t filled, plates weren’t cleared and had to ask for our check! We eat at a lot of fine dining restaurants and this is by far the worst service we’ve ever had! There were no apologies for any of the mishaps in service. Not to say we won’t return, because the food was perfect I just hope our service is better next time.
Was not happy. My girlfriend and I ordered drinks. They tasted terrible. One was a long island and the other was a cucumber gimlet. The long island was watered down and the gimlet was made with vodka and not gin. They made the second one with gin but left out the puree.... the food was okay I guess but I don't think I'll be going back.. went to Ocean Prime afterwards and got way better drinks.
Not to impressed. Ask for a couple of drinks from the bar and got the wrong mixings. The steaks where really good. Waiter where overwhelmed
The food was perfect and the service was the tops!
A friend suggested Elways to my husband as he loves lamb. Not alwyas a big fan of lamb myself I ordered the the smaller lamb fondue appetizer and it was enough for a meal for me. We both loved it.
Great food, nice service and great wine and cocktails.
We had an excellent experience at Elway's. Our server team of Veronica and Anne were simply amazing. The Sommelier Monica was extremely knowledgeable. She was able to direct us to a wine we had never heard of for a great price. Very impressive.
We eat in expensive steakhouse at least 4 times a month. Elway's by far was the best we have experienced in a while.
We highly recommend this restaurant. Don't forget the wine. Monica is outstanding.
This was one of the best steaks that I've ever had. The service was top notch, there was a good selection of beer and wine, and we had a great time.
The service was great, the fire alarm going off was not. The way the staff and management et al handled it, was great, and professional.
Fire alarm was going off and no one seemed to know a solution to the issue. We almost got up and left the restaurant. The food was subpar and overcooked. The asparagus looked as if it was bought frozen, thawed out and served. Definitely did not meet the expectations I had for the restaurant.
We always enjoy meals at Elways, great food and atmosphere. Yesterdays's service was a bit slow, but they were a little busy in the bar due to Rockies Opening Day. Highly recommend!
Service was good until the meal came. Then it became slow. Never really saw our server again until the check. She never took our dessert order but someone else came to pitch in. Could have been better. Condiments should have came out before the meal. And one of our desserts was wrong. One big problem was that the bathrooms do not have baby changing tables and we had a 6 month old with us
AMAZING in every way!
I went to Elway's at the Ritz Carlton to celebrate my wife's birthday . The website made it look like a quiet fine dining place . The waiting staff were friendly and helpful but the noise was overwhelming. I had problems hearing what my wife was saying about 3 feet across the table later the loude business men at the other tables left and it improved . My wife ordered the New York strip Medium well and the steak came out Medium Rare she sent it back to the kitchen and a new steak was on her plate Medium Rare again these steaks are fairly thick and a good chef would know to butterfly it to get it medium well. I had the Ahi Tuna steak simply seared with wasabi on the side by request it was good and the brussel sprout bacon hash it was ok.
DISSATISFACTION. Food was ordinary for the extraordinary price. Service was indifferent . I will not be back.
Hands down, best lunch I’ve had in many months. The food was only surpassed by wonderful, friendly service! Highly recommend the tenderloin and salad.
Our servers were fantastic! All their recommendations were spot on. Highly recommended.
The food was delicious, especially the steaks! I would highly recommend Elway's for an awesome steak dinner! We were celebrating my son's birthday, and his birthday dessert was personalized and equally delicious!
Staff and food was amazing!
Everything was great except for the loud group at the bar.
Had the steak and salad lunch special. The filet was outstanding, the Caesar salad was good, not great. It had a lot of the lettuce leaf ends included. Our server, Annette was wonderful.
I’m Denver for work and decided to try Elways. Service was phenomenal and very friendly and accommodating. Food was very good as well.
We drove out in the snow storm at 30 degree temp to try the place out. A friend from houston states she “has to go to elway’s” any time she is in Denver.
Food was ok. We’re from Texas so we have high expectations for our steaks. One of our steak was overcooked and they gracious took it back and cooked a new one. Our other 2 steaks were ok. Nothing to write home about. Side courses and appetizers ok. I don’t even remember what they were (that’s how unimpressed we were).
Service was excellent. We had our toddlers with us (we know not to bring toddlers to this type of restaurant but we were traveling as a family and this may be our only chance to try out Elway’s). The waiter was very nice to the boys, not at all snotty. Gave my boy extra bacon and his face lit up. I truly appreciated that.
Service and decor/ambience was superb.
We probably would not come back just because of the food. Would we recommend it, maybe, just to try it out once.
I have to say, had my bone in ribeye come out on a hot plate, I wouls agree that Ruth Chris has big competition. The steak was probably the best I’ve eaten in a while. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Not to mention, all of our drinks were make exactly to our liking (rare for my finance). The noise level was a bit excessive so I would not recommend for an anniversary or something really special but for regular date night or a first date place, this is a winner.
Staff was great, both on the bar side and the restaurant. Food was very good
We had another wonderful evening and Scott took very good care of us and our special occasion
My boyfriend and I visited on a slow Wednesday evening, and were incredibly disappointed in our experience. Our server was terrible. He assumed that my boyfriend was who booked the reservation, and called him Mr. MY Last Name, and acted stunned when I politely corrected him. He then proceeded to talk over me when I tried to order a beer, as he assumed that I couldn't possibly want a beer and instead wanted a cocktail. Our drinks didn't arrive until well after our steaks, and our server changed out my boyfriend's beer for a different one. The incredibly late drinks were not comped. The steak and sides were good, but not worth the poor service (I will say that our host, and the team filling the water glasses were wonderful). Go to Guard & Grace instead.
Great food service amazing staff - definitely taking other clients.
Very nice place, great for special business lunches and special dates
I went to Elway's because I visited Colorado for the first time and saw an article by the Food Network that identified the lamb with fondue as a must-try dish and it did not disappoint!
That was the best lamb I ever had in my life and with the exception of the first non-cheese bite that I ate to have a point of comparison, every bite after that was covered in delicious cheese and I resisted drinking from the fondue pot afterward. I'm from NJ and that dish was pure ectasy and I would literally fly out to Colorado again just to go to Elway's and have that lamb and fondue dish.
