Food was great. Staff very accommodating when we needed to change our reservation.
Food was great, service was amazing, water glasses were NEVER empty. Only complaint was reservation was for 5pm and they didnt take us back until 5:15 even though the place didnt fill up til 6.
Great experience and it will be hard to beat.
Made a note on the reservation that it was my birthday, but that was not acknowledged when I was there. Waitress was polite but seemed rushed. 7X Wagyu steak was very hot, not allowed to rest, and slightly overcooked from what I ordered, which would normally be fine if it wasn't such an expensive steak. Didn't really get a high-end vibe, but it was overall a pleasant enough dining experience.
Seated promptly, good service, twice baked potato quite dry but rest of food delicious
It was Great
Our server Heater was amazing! She made it an A+ experience!!!
Great food and amazing experience!
Great food and service.
Elway's was our only family dinner in Denver. We wanted a classic steakhouse and they delivered. The wait staff was very attentive and great with the kids. We would definitely return.
Forgot our drink order. They brought out the wrong side dish and main dish. The place is too bright for a dinner date.
From the hostess to our attentive and friendly wait & service staff, everyone contributed to our anniversary experience. I would rate this really a near 5. The food was great with the exception of the wedge which wasn't bad, but not special. The only dock in my rating came from the wine list. I understand I am at an expensive restaurant, but the lower end of wine prices ($50-75) were still high and there were few selections in each category. We asked the sommelier for perhaps a hidden gem, they said "not really." I realize that the desired price point for average bottle from this list might be $150+, but based on the quality and selection at the low end- I suspect that one might be investing in an average bottle of wine even at a higher price. Elway's, take pride in your selections from low to high. My expectation is that a $75 bottle of wine should still be a superior wine, not $11 bottle masquerading as something more. It was the only "drop" of the evening and probably why we saw a lot of beer coming by our table in lieu of wine. But enough- it was a great evening. Thank you for all of the extra effort to make it so.
Great food! Pretty loud though...
We met some friends at Elway's for a Sunday brunch. In our opinion, the best item on the menu was the Eggs Acapulco burrito with a very nice green chili sauce. Being a Ritz Carlton and the quality of the chef, I would expect more imagination for the breakfast items on the brunch menu. We have had Happy Hour meetings their several times and I rate that much better than their brunch menu. It is always a nice environment in the bar or the dining room.
One breakfast/brunch there, we asked for something not on the menu and if that was ok. The waiter, who was great, said this is the Ritz, we can do anything. It is too bad that wait persons we have had since then don't have that attitude. That one waiter allowed us to get a little more imaginative with the basic brunch menu.
This was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. The atmosphere was nice. Chris and Heather waited on us. They were knowledgeable, professional, polite and friendly. Monica the Sommelier was fantastic. The presentation and quality of the food was great and it was cooked to perfection. It was the perfect place for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary.
Steven and Vanessa were a top notch, professional wait staff. They took very good care of us and they both took the time to engage in a friendly conversation. We enjoyed them very much.
We did not care for our selected side dish and the manager happily replaced it with something else. The generous portion of prime rib was delicious. The atmosphere is nice, wine list extensive, and the food choices are reasonable. Please note, this is a VERY expensive, a la carte restaurant where a bottle of wine could easily cost more than dinner for two.
Very disappointing considering the cost. It’s your typical chain Steakhouse. We had several issues with food not being done correctly, waiter forgot many things. Could be because they have two waiters per table.
We were there for my sons birthday celebration. I would not return. Had better
Limited options for lunch. Chicken was not good
The “seasoning” was over powering it destroyed the flavor of the filet, and was so salty our party didn’t finish their meals.
Very good steak, atmosphere and service. I would recommend.
Excellent and always a must when we visit Denver!
Nice bar and restaurant. The food was exceptionally good and the service was great as well as expected. I really recommend this place.
My wife's bone in New York strip steak was ordered medium. It came out cut very thick and at an angle. It was pretty much raw when she cut into it. Sent it back to be cooked more as I ate mine which was same steak ordered cooked medium as well. My steak was very good. Her steak came back after a while and was still raw, had to be sent back again. By the time she was able to eat hers, I was pretty much done. I have eaten at a lot of high end steak houses but have never had to send a steak back twice. We were comped dessert and sides which was nice but hardly made up for our anniversary dinner.
Delicious food. Excellent server. Kids enjoyed it also.
The wait staff was not very attentive and forgot some of our food. The food was delicious but a bit over priced.
Our server, Steven, was magnificent! 💕 I couldn’t decide between 3 wines, so he brought me a taste of each. The chicken corn chowder was more like a southwest chicken green chili, not a creamy chowder. The steak, a bone-in rib-eye, was tasty, but not as tender as I was expecting, and the Ding Dong dessert was AMAZING!
Always dependable, always outstanding. Steak is without parallel.
Was in town for business. Had dinner two nights. First at the bar and second in the dining room. Both nights were excellent. Food was very good and awesome wine list. Highly recommend Elway's.
Overall the experience was excellent as always at this location. The one area that was somewhat lacking was the side dishes. They did not live up to previous sides we have eaten at this location. The main courses and salads were impeccable as always. The staff does a wonderful job!
Our dining experience was made so much nicer because of the waitstaff. LeighAnn, (not sure of the spelling) was excellent and so friendly and sincere. Her tone of voice and eye contact was just wonderful. My husband was really tired and she was so kind in all of her communications with him and I believe it was her extra attention to him that helped him to perk up and start to really enjoy the evening. I really appreciated her extra attention and she was so comfortable joking and talking with us. She didn't go over the top with her comments which was really nice. I would have to say she really made the evening for me and my husband. Thank you! I just remembered her name was Leslee not LeighAnn.
The service was terrible. We waited for over 1/2 hour for two drinks to start! It got worse from there. The food was mediocre at best, and the manager was aware the entire time, but waited until we were so frustrated and getting up to leave before he even said anything. By that time it was too late... never go there again!!
I've been to the Elway's at Ritz Carlton many times. I feel that over the years the quality of food and overall value of my experience has slowly diminished. My latest visit was no exception, as I would rate the overall quality and value at its lowest yet. The food was fine, but I just do not feel it is on par for the expense of the meal. I also thought the service was mixed. Our waiter was smug and unpleasant, but the assistant to our waiter was exceptional. My resulting feeling from an observed trend and latest experience is that I do not see myself visiting again.
The food was good, however, one of our waiters, Steven, was condescending and sexist. I was treated like I didn’t understand wine or know how to order. Also, I ordered two glasses of wine and was brought a bottle. Before I could correct this, he refilled our glasses, and we were stuck. Otherwise, the experience was fine.
We have eaten brunch at Elways Downtown many times, and have always been pleased. We got fooled on Mother's Day, however. We assumed that the buffet would be in the restaurant and similar in quality and price to the buffets they have on Bronco's Sunday home games, so when asked if we wanted the buffet on this special occasion, we said yes, but when we got there, we were sent upstairs to the huge banquet/meeting room where there must have been 100 tables, a loud band that we didn't enjoy, very cold room, the food was good and the variety of stations impressive, but the worst surprise of all was the bill! It was outrageously expensive! I do fault myself for not asking ahead of time if there was a special price for Mother's Day, but I really think we should have been informed when we received a call asking if we would be wanting the buffet or off the menu, that we would not be eating in the restaurant, and that there was special pricing. We didn't eat at our country club that day because we thought it too expensive. This was double that amount per person. If you don't mind spending the money, the food, service,a room where you could make a bouquet or take a plant, and a special station for kids were all nice.
Excellent all the way around. It is pricey but it's well worth it.
The food was outstanding, the steaks were prepared to order as well as the Ahi Tuna. The service was lacking in every way, attentiveness, friendliness, attention to detail etc. We were very disappointed with our overall experience.
Great service and even better steaks. I love it when my steak is cooked correctly the first time. These guys know what they’re doing!
The ribeye was good. I would prefer some other establishments cuts and flavor to Elways but was still really good here. The Brussel sprouts are more like an Asian fusion take. The bread is so so and the wine selection leaves much to desire. Overall my date was great and the sever Vanessa was fantastic. Ask for her table if you’re there.
Went for prom my date and I loved every minute.
