Very attentive wait staff and the food was excellent.
Service, food, ambiance--all excellent. Always an excellent dining experience.
We did the Sunday brunch before the Broncos game for the 3rd or 4th time, and it is always good. Our wait person, Kelly, was the best server we have had there.
I would have given the service 5 stars but the hostess seemed annoyed by having to find us seats. Our waitress was fantastic. It was surprisingly loud and casual for such a "high end" restaurant in the Ritz. The Food was pretty good but I've had comparable short rib for much less. We didn't care much for the Pacific Grouper.
Always a wonderful meal! Everything was delicious!
Great time celebrating a successful business venture in Denver!
Was my wife’s birthday. Elway’s made it special. Fabulous, perfectly cooked ribeye. Knowledgeable server. Everything could not have been better.
I'm from out of town. Saw it on an ad ranking top 10 steakhouses around the country, which I frequent. It's strip steak had a crispy edge and was well balanced and flavorful. The starter - pure lump crab was just that - pure lump crab and was excellent. Classy environment. Best part besides the outstanding food? We were going to the Rockies game - we got our food in a timely way and took advantage of FREE valet with only a 5 block walk. Very convenient and an excellent experience. Now we have a place locked in to go before the game when we come back!
Steak salad was excellent as always. Soups was very good as well.
My husband and I like to visit great steakhouses when we travel, and Elways was among our best experiences! The food, atmosphere, and service were outstanding! Thank you for giving us our best night in Denver!
Terrible experience. Staffing totally inadequate for a busy Sunday with football and baseball fans. Uninviting ambience. Patios closed on beautiful day. Moved to bar and service improved.
I want to start by saying we love Elway’s and have frequented both locations multiple times, thus we were excited to try the Broncos brunch before the game on Sunday. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. Service was slow from being sat by the hostess to waiting for orders to waiting on the check. Bloody Mary’s were disappointing compared to Cherry Creek location, chili and corn chowder were served cold, tablecloths were a mess. But to top off many of my complaints, I ordered a glass of Brut Rose and it was served me in a Cabernet wine glass because they were out of champagne flutes. Glassware is important to me, especially at a fine dining establishment and when I order a pricey glass of bubbles. I would also add the men’s restroom was gross and dirty. All of it combined was just a terrible experience!
Exceptional service with great food! Family friendly. John Elway!!
Steak was good. But overalł food was average. Service was fine. Nothing memorable
This restaurant is inside the Ritz Carlton. I could not have asked for anything better. The bartender was extremely skilled in the making of her Manhattan. The wine list was complete enough for us who were visiting from our home in Sonoma County. The server in the dining room was attentive and gave us her honest recommendations on the side dishes. The steaks were amazing, perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. One of us had the scallops and they were perfectly cooked also.
If you're in Denver and are looking for a restaurant that won't disappoint, I highly recommend Elway's.
This was our first visit to ELWAY’S and we came for 2 reasons:
1-we had a gift card, and
2-it was close to Coors Field
Our lunch was fabulous and our server, Charlie, was very knowledgeable and so personable. We expected it to be very pricey, but we were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable lunch prices. We will definitely be back.
The food and service was exceptional. I got a happy glamper for a cocktail and it was exceptional. The pretzel bread they give you is phenomenal. My wife has the filet which was super good and I had the bone-in ribeye which was phenomenal. The seasoning was great and cooked to perfection.
We were celebrating our 23rd wedding anniversary. The Steak and Lobster was over the top. Wish I could say the same for the twice baked potato. The wine recommendation from Adam was right on. We couldn't have been more happy. Both servers, Adam and Leslie were exceptional, attentive when needed to be, and genuine. The anniversary brownie was excellent!
Filet was amazing
The food was wonderful and the service was fantastic! A trip to Elways Denver Downtown is a definite must.
Yesterday's special was too greasy and salty. I could eat only a small part of it. This is first time in all the time that I have been coming there that I had a bad lunch. Pasta salad was excellent.
Elway's always delivers. I much prefer this location to the one in Cherry Creek. Try the lobster BLT!
Great evening celebrating our friends birthday. Thanks!
Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing atmosphere. 3 amazing traits that every prestine restaurant needs in order to make a customer happy. Took my beautiful girlfriend out to Elways Downtown for our 1 year anniversary and I was not disappointed. Romantic, delicious and stupendous evening thanks to Elways. Will be coming back soon for more.
Wait staff was the best part of the meal. Food was expensive for what it was.
We had some outstanding service! Our server Mr. Hansen was a joy to have with us during the evening. He was attentive professional and Surely just a joy !!!
I will definitely be back to enjoy the food and the pleasure of such a great server thank you again Mr. Hansen !!!
Great servers! Wonderful food! Your apple coleslaw is amazing and properly compliments the crab cakes.
Service was very bad, food was not good. The bartender was nice and very good at her job. The meal went downhill after we were seated.
Very disappointed. This is/should be a typical upscale steakhouse experience a la Capital Grill, Ruths Cris or many independent, but it doesn't measure up except in price.
The service was great - all involved very nice. The food was not. The bread was a modest pretzel stick - ok. But the other bread in the basket was stale.
We splurged a bit since it was a special occasion and ordered the seafood tower. It consisted of a small pile of lump crab meat that could have been dumped from a can, a half dozen small oysters and two shrimp. For $64. Seriously??
The Colorado lamb shank (a house specialty) was a small portion that was ordered medium rare, but were closer to raw. We sent back one of the two portions for further cooking and it came back very rare.
Worse was my spouse's lobster tail dinner. She said it was clearly taken out of the freezer and heated up. Tasteless, mealy and expensive - a tough combination to swallow. Perhaps our mistake by ordering seafood in Denver, but if they have it on the menu as all steak houses do, it should be done right.
They were nice to bring a complimentary dessert in honor of the occasion, but when the shared dessert is the highlight of a $400 dinner for two, it is not a great occasion.
I am sure the restaurant trades on John Elway's great name in Denver, but it sure would not make it anywhere else if this experience was typical.
Amazing service. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had.
Excellent restaurant, wonderful steak, elegant atmosphere, easy to converse, attentive waitstaff. Grilled artichoke appetizer and ding dongs dessert are favorites.
Everything was delicious and the service was awesome. Scott was out waiter and he was great. Will be visiting back soon.
Very disappointed with the service at this restaurant.
Great time had by all. Food was outstanding, but portion size small.
The lamb is sensational. The wine list is excellent.
Had an absolute perfect and amazing meal. Service was impeccable, the steaks were the best I have ever had. The Old Fashion was top notch and the wine selection was vast and perfect.
Awesome steaks. Great wine list and scotch list. Veggies were average but ok. Great steakhouse and actually less $ than other big name steakhouses.
My steak was excellent and was the service. Highly recommend
Great food and especially attentive service. Pricey, but good for special occasions or to enjoy something special. Provide special order - steak tartare- great, one of best experienced!!!
