Always enjoyed a good steak and recommend to anyone who has never eaten here.
Cold food. Poor and inattentive bar service
Service was excellent! Food was great except for the steak. Really disappointed in the wagyu. It was underwhelming. Tuna tartare was delicious.
We had an amazing time couldn’t have been better!!
A very dear friend came to visit from New York, and we decided to have our traditional Saturday steak night at Elway's Downtown. It was great, My bone-in rib eye was cooked to perfection, and my the lamb chops my buddy ordered were fantastic.Sides were excellent, and the typically huge portions served in steakhouses these days. The chocolate cake for desert was rich and delicious. Only negative, we both wanted to have the bone-in filet, but they were out. On a Saturday night at prime dining time. Hence the four stars instead of 5.
Special night out place ? For us the potatoes where over cooked as was my wife's steak, the asparagus was 5 star as was my steak. Been here before was very good so I think it was just an off night.
After fighting traffic it was heaven to relax and have a wonderful meal
Great experience for our anniversary
The food was good, but definitely not great. And it was way to expensive for what it is really. Probably not seeing myself returning anytime soon.
0 for 2. Last time I go there.
My colleague and I ordered fillet medium well (yes I know, my first mistake) and we both got our steaks medium rare.
Sent mine back and it came out toast.
Same as the last time we were in town
Good but not great. If you’re going here you’re going for the ambiance not the food.
Ambiance and location is wonderful. Server Sara was amazing. Bartender was great. Lobster tater tots are a must try. Lamb chop fondue underwhelming. Only 1 of the 3 lamb chops were up to par. Was really looking forward to the lamb but it disappointed.
Food was good. French fries weren’t very hot or would have given it 5 stars. Great waiter.
This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was top notch. Staff was friendly but awkward, stumbling with conversation. Dropped silverware and stacked plate upon plate upon plate to get everything off our table in one trip rather than come back a second time.
I was not impressed. For the price, i expected better service. You could tell that the waitress had too many tables. We made reservations & were 20 min early, rather than seating us early since table was empty, they had us sit and wait. If service was better, experience would have been better.
Greatest by a very lovely and respectful host named Rihanna. And the rest of the evening was just great.
I took my 7 year old son to Elway’s for a special Mother-Son dinner out tonight. As expected, the meal was delicious. But this review is really a compliment for our server, Scott, who went WAY above and beyond to make my son feel like a king! He was funny, engaging, thoughtful and kind. He took what otherwise would have been a very nice meal and turned it into a really fun, memorable evening. Thank you, Scott! And Elway’s. You have won over my son who announced in the car on the way home that he can’t wait to go back for his birthday.
Fantastic food and service!!
My husband and I planned a weekend in Denver for an Opera we were attending. We had dinner Friday before the opera and it was so good we decided to come back the second night for the truffle festival dinner they put on. Hands down best dinner I’ve experienced in a long time. Service was outstanding both nights.
Not what is used to be, this one pales compared to the cherry creek location. Food is good, wait staff really bad, not trained at all, for a second I thought I was at chili’s.
Great steak. Great service. I will be back!!!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere! We had a wonderful dining experience.
Always great food and service. Leslie was fantastic.
While Elway’s menu can seem a bit pricy, you definitely get what you pay for and then some! Without a doubt the best steakhouse out there. They have a full bar and the steaks are melt in your mouth tender. All of the staff are very friendly and professional. If you have the chance, it’s definitely worth it.
Server had tables all over the restaurant and seemed behind. Could have used a server assistant
Great service from Tommy and the crew, great food, I expect it from ELWAY’S, and they have never disappointed
One of the best meals we've ever had! The ice cream brownie for our Anniversary was amazing!
Our waiter, Adam, was phenomenal. Not only did he provide great service, but he also gave some great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Denver. The food was amazing and would highly recommend the lamb fondue. Beautiful location and well worth the drive.
It was my entire party’s first time visiting Elways. It’s definitely not a place to eat at regularly due to price; but it’s absolutely worth the value when you do go. The service, food, and atmosphere were all amazing and above what I had expected. I absolutely plan to come here again, and I recommend others who haven’t been to give it a shot as well.
Amazing food and ambiance coupled with outstanding service. What a great find!
Just an awesome experience.
Beef Carpaccio, scallops and creole grouper were so good. Vanilla ice cream with salted caramel sauce was very good. Heather, our server, could not have been more professional and enjoyable.
The staff was brilliant. They made our celebratory night even more special. Couldn’t be happier with the meal!! Thank you to Leslie our server, incredible service and general person!!
Most expensive, but best meal I have ever had in my life. Started with the ahi tuna, fried wonton nachos (decedent and unique). We savored a bottle of the Stags Leap Mira Cabernet (smooth and delicious). The 8 oz. filets melted on your mouth, particularly the one topped oscar style. We ended the meal with probably the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. The entire experience was exquisite.
Server was awful
They were out of Bone in Filet so Three of us ordered $60 Ribeyes. Disappointed at best.. Tough and Chewy! Three of us had the Ribeyes and all agreed. Service was ok but not what you would expect.. Back to Capital Grill!!
Overall good experience. But Elways is do for a face lift. Looking a little weathered.
Our server Tommy made the experience, but the food could have been better. Our steaks were a bit overcooked, which was unfortunate based on the price spent. The dessert was very good, but the potato was just ok.
Traveled to Denver from Wisconsin to attend the Sunday game and enjoy a short getaway. Decided to try Elway’s Downtown as I’ve always been a huge John Elway fan and tend to try high end restaurants during my vacations.
The experience was less than enjoyable. Ambiance was a major issue. There was a belligerent male who sat right next to us who was swearing and screaming loudly like we were at a corner sports bar. This behavior was completely unacceptable in general not to mention their were women present and he was never addressed by anyone from the staff. He should have been asked to leave as I would never expect this at a 5 star steakhouse when we spent $400 for our meal.
Secondly, the restaurant only had one ribeye left so my girlfriend had to get the bone in filet. She ordered it medium rare and it basically came raw on the inside so she didn’t eat most of it. We aren’t ones to make complaints to staff so we let it be.
Needless to say, I would be hard pressed to ever go back nor recommend the restaurant to anyone. There are plenty of other choices in Denver we will consider for our next trip their.
The steak was delicious. The sides were not very tasty. The service was fine, but waitstaff seemed extremely busy.
