Very good service! Nice steak salad and sides…sounds travel a bit too easy but not unbearable.
Been going there for years and in the last 3 years or so the food hasn't been that great. Steaks aren't what they used to be. I'm guessing they know that because no one comes around to ask how your dinner is. We always had a few people stop by the table and ask. Time to find a new steakhouse.
Nice atmosphere, good food & service. Sommelier was very nice & helpful.
When I go to a “name” steakhouse, I have. a certain expectation. Overall, I don’t think Elway’s met my expectation. The main disappointment was the quality of the bone-in ribeye steak. It lacked flavor and was slightly tough. The high points were the delicious cocktails, and a very good Caesar salad. The fries tasted good, but were a bit soggy. Would I return? Only if there was no other steakhouse option available.
Awesome , Perfect evening!
We love Elway’s. We’ve been traveling to Colorado for the last 17 years. Elway’s is always a special treat. Best steak we’ve ever eaten.
Awesome service from our server but the food was very poor quality. The steak was overdone and frankly not good.
Great steak and excellent service!
Manager was extremely rude and argued with me about having my reservation. Jeremy saved the meal as an impeccable server.
My girlfriend and I went for our 2 year anniversary, after I had an excellent experience taking my dad their. This time around however was awful in terms of service. It felt like because we are a younger looking couple (still dressed very well) that we were ignored and put on the backburner because they assumed we wouldn't order much or tip well.
We were asked if we were fine eating at a high top in the bar, and when we said we'd prefer the dining room as we'd had a reservation, we received exasperated sighs from the hostess as if seating us there was a burden. After being sat we waited like 15+ minutes to even have anyone acknowledge us. After we ordered food and drinks the only time we saw either of our TWO waiters was to ask how the steak looked right when it came out and then at the end of the meal. No more drink orders, wine, or any other check ins on anything. When we received our steaks no one had cleared the dishes from our appetizer that we'd been done with for a while and instead of clearing them before giving us our steaks, just handed us the plates with "you figure out" kind of dismissive attitude. We then had no steak knives and had to wait longer for that.
I should also mention that it was not that busy on a Sunday night with probably more than half of the tables empty and the table directly behind us (also a couple, but older than us) getting checked in on 3-4 times and our table just getting ignored and walked by. I shouldn't have to flag down a waitor at a restaurant like Elway's to get plates cleared or to get one drink refill.
We likely would have spent an extra $100+ on more drinks and dessert if we'd been paid any attention by the wait staff. When I went to go complain at the hostess stand to try and talk to a manager the stand was unattended and we decided to just leave after paying our bill
Loved the salmon and ribeye and the lamb shanks for appetizers
Incredible 61st dinner for my husband! Steven was attentive and polite - even helping me order a sweet white wine with my meal.
The steaks were perfectly cooked - the au gratin potatoes were to die for!
Thank you so much for making it such a great evening! Marie
Our anniversary dinner was fantastic. The lamb chop fondue was very good, and both of our steaks were cooked perfectly. Our server was great and very attentive. We were very pleased with our experience.
Elway's was wonderful as always. Excellent meat and wonderful sides
Food was incredible and the service was top notch. HIGHLY recommend.
The food was amazing. Try the Halibut! The dessert (cheesecake was meh! The mushrooms were superb as a side. Someone at our table had the bison steak and was in heaven. But the noise!!! First the freaking fire alarm went off for 30 minutes. It was IMPOSSIBLE to have a conversation. Our waiter apologized but the alarm kept going and no amenities for the HUGE inconvenience; no offering of an appetizer or desserts for listening to the damn alarm for THIRTY MINUTES. I come on! We were at Elway's, not McDonalds. Somebody needs to get their act together. We had out of town guests and I was so embarrassed- we chose Elway's and the staff just basically shrugged their shoulders at the NOISE and blamed the Ritz. Also, patrons in the bar were over the top loud and unruly watching a ball game - screaming and yelling.
Elway's downtown has excellent chefs that put out a great product and the waitress was great, but the fire alarm was triggered in a room upstairs and it went off nearly the entire time we were there ( it makes for a good story). Overall we would definitely go back, Thank You Always!
The service was great and so was the food for the most part. Amazing tuna tartare appetizer, the bone in ribeye was also great. My wife had the filet which was good but she asked for medium and it was blue in the middle when she cut it open. They had to recook it twice and it never really got to a true medium. The server didn’t charge us for the filet so hard to complain. I requested medium/rare on my ribeye but it was probably rare but I didn’t mind. The wedge salad was also a little overdressed but that’s me just being a little picky. I’d go back and I’d recommend the restaurant.
Top 3 steak place on my list….great atmosphere Great Food
The Rib Eye was perfectly seasoned, moist and fantastic. RedRocks drink was also nice. Appetizer of the Tuna Tar'tare was very tasty. Tommy - our server was great. I will request him when I return.
Great steak, perfectly prepared!
Had a great business dinner here last night. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived but they brought out some complimentary sparkling rose' for the trouble. We're an easy going group so it was no issue. Had great service once we sat down from our main server to Somm who helped us pick out a few great bottles. All in all, great experience.
Excellent service, and food
The Hospital was wonderful, the waiter was very nice
Got sat right next to the kitchen where there was overwhelming smell of fish for majority of the dinner. Service was slow but ok overall and so was the food until the main course came out. 22 oz bone in rib eye came out cold, when I let them know they took it away for 30 seconds and came back chewy like they threw it in the microwave. Not the experience we are expecting from this expensive of a meal
The food was exquisite! The service we received from our server Stephan and the Sommelier was unparalleled. Thank you fir making the start of our family vacation so special.
Service was outstanding and the steaks were cooked perfectly.
Terry was one of the best servers I've ever had.
Such an awesome experience! Definitely recommend for anybody!
We spent a great anniversary date night at the downtown Elway’s location inside the Ritz-Carlton. Absolutely phenomenal bone in ribeye cooked to a perfect medium rare. For desert, try the turtle cheesecake. And, for a cocktail, try the Oriental. Our server, Garret, was extremely friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to speak with. Excellent experience. We will definitely be back.
It was a great experience for my husband's birthday!
Great food and our server was fantastic. Enjoyed the wine and food!
Service was great. Food was amazing. Large portions so we had to take some home.
What a nice evening, service was excellent without being "over the top", great food, very pleasant atmosphere. We were expecting to spend some money on the meal but the quality was excellent and it did feel like a value. Well done Staff, Cooks and Servers!!
Fire alarm went off twice. Painful.
Waiter hard to find at times.
Amazing ahi tuna steak. And the libations were interesting.
Food was excellent. Service was great also. Good walking distance if you’re staying downtown
Great experience, amazing food! Our Waiter was great!
I was surprised at the poor service and mediocre food. We made reservations but the table wasn’t set. The food was alright but our server was just ok- the bloody Mary’s were really good tho.
Overpriced for brunch. Empty restaurant during Father's Day. Waste of a trip downtown! It's a Hotel restaurant.
