We had a wonderful meal for our parents' anniversary. The staff were so wonderful and attentive.
Nothing special. We wouldn’t go back Capital Grill and Guard and Grace blow this place away!
Great food, service and atmosphere. Slightly noisy.
Food and ambiance is amazing!
Food was great! I had the calamari and drinks were my favorites! The atmosphere was also great. We will go back when we’re in town again.
We hosted a Sunday birthday brunch for a friend and everything was great. We always like Downtown Elways for special events and often make a whole night/weekend of staying at the Ritz Carlton to enjoy properly.
We were lucky enough to get the large round table in their wine area-but overhead light was very, VERY bright and harsh, especially for 8 hungover people. However, they figured out how to dim it, and we were so grateful. Everybody's breakfast/lunch was delicious. My burger was a bit to undercooked, and they threw it back on the grill once the waitress noticed I wasnt liking the rawness so much. Anyway, great service and tasty food!
We took some friends to Elway's. They are newer to the area and hadn't eaten at a really good steak house, yet, in Denver. We have never been disappointed in Elway's, in the past. The steaks were still very good, this time. We also had oysters on the half-shell that were good. However, we had the potatoes au gratin and they were over salted, the mac and cheese was maybe a bit overcooked and the Brussels sprout has was not nearly as good as others we have had. The asparagus was fine, but it is hard to mess up.
The food was delicious, our server Tommy was gracious and knowledgable. Wonderful experience.
My husband and I were stuck in Colorado during the bomb cyclone for 4 1/2 extra days. During our extended stay we also celebrated a wedding anniversary. With no prior knowledge we selected Elway’s for our dinner. Beginning to end, this was an exceptional experience. Our waitress Vanessa, Monica the somalier, food, and attention to our every need was a exceptional! What a wonderful night, thank you Elway’s for a night to remember.

I used to believe the Cherry Creek Grill has the best prime rib sandwich, that changed today! Service was excellent and Daniel was a very nice man.
Service was phenomenal. Steaks were sub expatations.
Malos terminos de la carne. La regresamos y trajeron otro mal termino.
Muy pocos meseros para el rest. Creo 2
Server was awesome, it fits well with the service you receive from the Ritz-Carlton (although I would much prefer a stand alone restaurant than a hotel restaurant)
Without a great server this experience would have been very poor.
I will not be returning to Elway's, The cost on the "house" Merlot bottle was $120 - shame on me for not checking but I am not use to that. They were out of the bone in filet luckily the bone in rib-eye was pretty good, besides that the food was about the quality you get at Applebees, the asparagus in particular.
Servicio espectacular y la
Comida exquisita !!!! Nos encanta Elway’s downtown
Don't miss this great steakhouse if you go to Denver. The Porterhouse for two is sublime. The ambiance is wonderful, as is the service. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the county.
We had the filet and they were cooked to perfection!!! We stayed a long time and the wait staff was attentive without hovering. It was a nice evening.
Amazing ambience, complimentary valet parking, and lovely service. I got the 8-oz filet, rare. Was just sliightly overcooked, but the cut was incredible. Ordered asparagus for a side- sides are massive, my SO and I couldn't finish the one side. Had 1/2 dozen east coast oysters for an appetizer, and the cheesecake for dessert. Highly recommend for an evening out!
The food and our waiter were spectacular! We can’t wait to go back.
Elways is overated. My steak was so charred it had no flavor. The service and atmosphere were great but I would not go there again.
Excellent steaks and great service. The servers were very attentive and appetizers were delicious as well.
Debbie was amazing 😉
Food and service were fantastic!!!
The service people were excellent. However, we had 6 people for brunch and several of our entrees were cold. Brunch menu was limited and way too expensive. Though the stuffed French toast was excellent beyond words!
Excellent will definitely be back
This restaurant is outstanding! Food quality is Excellent. Ambiance is amazing. I really enjoyed celebrating my birthday at Elway's!
Not a hit. I booked a booth in advance, had to wait almost 45 minutes for one after arrival at time specified. It took a really long time for the food to be served and unfortunately our food was cold when we got it. We won't be returning.
Amazing!! Server was engaging, attentive and the food was phenomenal!
Not what it used to be. The service Adam provided was terrific but the fish was undercooked and then over done when it came back out. They did the right thing and comped the fish.
The food was fine, but for the price it should have been exceptional. Price is probably 2 to 3 times as expensive as it should be for the quality.
Service was outstanding!
The food as in past experiences was divine. It'd be nice if the cocktails were a little less pricey during lunch. Our service was also well done. It's a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
Save your money. Very pricey for a good dinner but not great. They sat us at a table near the bar and it was noisy.
People were sitting with their coats on since it was so cold. I asked the waiter if he could get someone to turn up the heat and by the time we were done it felt better. Too many great restaurants in town. Don't go.
Enjoyed the experience at Elways! The food and service were top notch! The ambience was warm and matched the high level of service and presentation of food. Would return again!
Good but not great. The John's salad was not even close to the one served the Cherry Creek Elway's and was actually not good at all. Overall the food was good, but not excellent.
Not the best experience. Despite having a reservation, we were seated nearly 30 minutes late. I appreciated the manager providing a round of drinks to compensate, but we then had to wait nearly an hour for our entrees to arrive, even with the restaurant appearing to be nowhere close to full. I ordered a steak medium-rare, and it arrived at what could only be described as just north of blue rare. At that point, I was so hungry I chose to dive in just to have some food.
Our server was fantastic throughout the whole evening and truly tried to make the experience special. I wish the food and speed of service would have been at the same level.
I am not usually one that complains but the food was the worst that I've experienced. I ordered a bone-in filet medium-rare and it came out burned then they had to get me a bone in ribeye because it was the last filiet. The ribeye came out rare with the center bloody and cold. It was horriable.
My wife wanted to order Elways salmon and you were sold out. The table next to us had to rerurn both steaks as well. We also ordered brussel sprouts and they were less than desirable.
We went to Elways for our 20th annversary and it was a complete let down and a waste of our night.
The server did his best considering the lack of professionalism from the cooks and management.
Came here on Saturday evening to celebrate Valentines day with my wife as I've always heard great things about Elways. Unfortunately for us it did not meet any expectations I had come to expect when spending $200 on dinner. We waited an hour for our main course which half way though the wait it became apparent why our waiter was pushing appetizers on us so much.. we just didnt come hungry enough. My steak was great, my wife's was way undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen, both of our sides (scalloped potatoes and brussel sprouts) were just average and seemed like they were just waiting for our steaks to get there and be served at once. Two other tables surrounding us had issues with their food as they also had to send dishes back. 2/5 stars is what I'm giving Elways Downtown which is bad considering I never leave reviews.
When dining at a steakhouse that I'm spending $200 plus on dinner for 2, I expect much better than I got. The food was great. The steaks were cooked perfectly, no complaints there. However, I waited until 9:10PM to get sat for an 8:30PM resvervation. The host originally told me to wait for about 5 minutes in the lounge area while they prepared my table. I had to go back over a half our later to ask what was going on. They finally took us to a table in the corner; there must have been at least 6 other tables open around us that never got seated the entire time we were there, and the restaurant was closing within less than an hour of the time we left, so I know they weren't reserved. I immediately noticed all of the ledges around us were covered in crumbs and dust, looked like they hadn't been cleaned in over a week, the carpet was ripped near the table, there were larges scratches and scuff marks along all the walls, and duct tape holding a door closed to a private dining area. I ordered a cocktail off the menu, and the server came back 5 minutes later and apologized but they didn't have that cocktail anymore. He laughed about it, saying that I got an out of date drink list and the new one had been in place for some time and he didn't even know about it. Far better steakhouses throughout Denver to spend your time at.
So this trip was up and down the meal was just ok I had the Wagu slider, fried rice both were over cooked and came out super slow. The bread and my drinks were great. My waiter worked his butt off and comp in dessert because the wait for the food was over an hour. Will come back but definitely expect better
