Elway's Cherry Creek Ratings and Reviews
While the food was tasty (great burger and homemade chips, plus companion’s Cobb salad was enjoyed) it took ages to get the food, and the server was a bit over the top “Do we need beverages... Do we need more time”... a little on the annoying side unfortunately - though I know he was trying to be impressive.
Don’t anticipate using this location for next business meeting.
I was absolutely blown away by the service, the food, and the energy of the people. To begin, the service was remarkable. I was amazed at how fast and how friendly everyone was, especially since it was a full house when I went. I have been to places that are “competition” and have never received such attention. With such outstanding service, I had high expectations for the quality of the meal. Not only were my expectations met, but they were greatly exceeded. Truly the best steak I have had to date. Nothing I have had in any of the places I’ve traveled to, North America and Europe, had been as tender and flavorful. Then, the energy of the crowd, truly an experience. Usually in restaurants like this they are energetic, but tonight was truly an exception. Everyone was having a good time.
I absolutely recommend Elway’s
I just love Elway's! I have so many brunch-menu favorites that it's difficult to choose. I almost always order a side of the green chili because it is so flavorful. On this visit, I invited a couple I've known for years who had never been to the restaurant. They were just as delighted with the food and the ambience as I always am. Our waiter, Paul, was excellent. He was attentive but not overbearing and always seemed to appear when we needed him. He truly went the extra mile with a couple of our requests...and did so happily. Not sure what more we could have asked for.
This was our first time at Elway’s Cherry Creek and we had a very nice dining experience. Our server Dustin took incredible care of us. My husband and I both had the 8 ounce filet with lobster tail. The filet was absolutely delicious as was the brussels sprouts with bacon and pistachios. This was a great date evening for us and we enjoyed it. We were celebrating a special event and for that we were gifted a delicious dessert. Very nice touch!
It was our anniversary dinner. Our waiter Steve was friendly, and amazing. He made me feel as if it was perfectly fine, to order a budlight, in a fancy wine glass, at such a wonderful Steakhouse! Lobster, and Steak. Always cooked on point. Never been disappointed there!!!!
Very pleasant experience overall. Good food and good service. We had the Smash burger, our favorite, and it was cooked perfectly. It was my friends birthday so the waiter brought us a special birthday ding dong for dessert. Very nice touch that Elway's does for it' patrons celebrating a birthday.
Took out of town relatives for the advertised Super Bowl brunch. Food was great except for the watery shrimp in drink. Service unusually inattentive. One of us four ordered omelet without cheese for health reasons. It came with cheese; rest of the 3 were almost done eating when the correct order came. Would have appreciated apologies or adjustment.
Very disappointing dinner at what was a fine dining establishment. Service was painfully slow and simply missed offerings like bread. Our steaks were prepared nicely but not the cut with your fork filets we had come to expect at Elway’s. The Oscar sauce was over cooked, thrown on the steaks and covered in some ridiculous fried onion strings that looked more like camouflage for an underwhelming presentation. Beet salad was overwhelmed with garlic as well. Sad to see a formerly fine establishment fall so badly.
4 of us for lunch. 1) The Salmon was excellent! 2)The Cheeseburger was very good and the best value. We would be back for either of these dishes. 3) The filet was very good, but I've had as good at other steak houses for half of the $41. price tag. A la cart on top, adding mashed potatoes and broccoli made for a $60. lunch for one plate. Good, but not that good. 4) Pass on the veggie enchiladas. $20. with no extras like beans or rice and very little flavor.
Service was excellent! The staff is very friendly and eager to please. They did bring a chocolate covered ding dong for the birthday boy on the house which was a nice touch. Overall, it was a good but $150.00 lunch (not counting tip) for 4 which included some enchiladas and a cheeseburger was a bit much. There are so many restaurants in Denver now with great food, atmosphere and staff, they might need to re visit their menu offerings.
This was our first time to Elway's. We were looking for a really nice steak restaurant to celebrate my father's birthday. The atmosphere was wonderful, as was our server. In fact, our server might be the only reason we would return. He was pleasant, had a great sense of humor, and was simply great at his job all around. The reason for my lower review is because the cooked medium rare filet mignon I ordered was terribly charred with the burnt side facing down. I'm not even sure why the chef plated the steak, it was that charred. My dad's cooked rare ribeye was a wonderful portion, but was so tough he had trouble cutting through it. Overall, when you are paying a premium for fine dining, the food should be outstanding and it simply wasn't. We still had a wonderful evening, and again, loved our server.
Elway's Steakhouse is consistently good. Excellent steaks. The Chilean Sea Bass was to die for. Service was excellent as well. Our waiter was professional, conversational, and didn't try to over sell the menu. He seemed to want us to have a great experience.
Elway’s had become our go to place for special occasions. Last night was very disappointing. The service was the worst we have every had in a high dollar restaurant. The wAitress tried to take my wife’s appetizer before she was finished. It took over 10 minutes to get the bill and another 10 for her to come back and take.
Then she charged the wrong amount to our card. I was $77 dollars instead of the $208 it should have been. Many people would have signed it and just left. We waited over ten more minutes for her to return. I finally asked a bus person to get a manager. I was able to see him talk to the manager near the kitchen. He never bothered to come over. When she finally returned it took 10 more minutes for her to return with the correct charge. We will not be back.
This is man in my life's favorite place to go out for a good steak dinner the who is fantastic in the service is second to that they always take really good care of us anytime we have an opportunity to go to Elway's we jump at it because this is a fantastic place
