Really great food, awesome place! We went for a Sunday early lunch with my nephew and it turned out to be a very nice time, good food and conversation!
Excellent spot for a high-end meal. Make it an anniversary, birthday, celebrating a divorce and/or buying a new house. You don't need much of an excuse. You don't need to dress up, but don't dress down either.
Our waitress, Jenny, was very knowledgeable about the menu and very kind and helpful! Our dinner, 8 oz fillet with mash potatoes and asparagus, was amazing!! Will definitely go again my next trip to Cherry Creek!
Elway’s was always my favorite restaurant in Denver with my favorite dish, Elway’s creamed corn. Well this time it was awful. The sauce was so thin, runny and soupy rather than the tasty thick cream sauce. My friend ordered the creamed spinach and it too was thin and runny. Additionally the filet minon was over cooked and under seasoned. All I can think of is they have a different chef. I will not be taking my out of town visitors to Elway’s anymore, as the first class experience is gone.
Meh. Expected more. Waitress pulled food while in the restroom.
We celebrated a special birthday at Elways--one of my favorite places for a special meal. Everyone on staff is super friendly and welcoming.
Rick, the host is phenomenal with his attention to detail as a repeat customer, have had him as a server, which is why I love coming back, the service is equally phenomenal. All the staff should be commended on their exceptional professionalism and great service
Always quiet, classy and delicious. The staff, especially the manager, are so friendly and welcoming. This is a "go to" spot where I know I will have a special lunch, a warm atmosphere and super service.
the food and service was outstanding. The rib eye was the best steak I've ever had.
The service and food were excellent - highly recommend the Elways Salmon and Bone in Rib Eye. The only thing that was poor was the table size in a booth. With 4 adults we were squeezed in and had little room for ourselves and our food. If you go there get a table if you are more than 2 people.
My husband and I went to Elways to celebrate my birthday and getting my Real Estate Broker license. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! Will definitely recommend Elways of Cherry Creek!
We went for Restaurant week’s meal. My husband & I both had NY strip steak. The flavor was great and it was cooked perfect. However, I will say my piece had 1 side with the grisel which should have been removed before cooking. The cesar salad was a bit boring. Our service was very good and overall I would recommend for the steak dinner.
If the Broncos has been as tough as the steak, John would not have to be so concerned about rebuilding
The best house salad ever and of course the steaks are superb! Very nice wine by the glass menu as well as extensive and notable wine list.
My wife and I enjoyed an amazing dinner at Elway’s during Denver restaurant week! We were recommended to go to the Cherry Creek location specifically and weren’t disappointed. I had the NY strip and my wife had the salmon and both were outstanding. Truly a cut above the traditional casual steakhouses!
Always a great place for lunch!
Elway's Sunday brunch was exactly as expected. The service and meals are consistent and dependably top notch. Servers are attentive (e.g. keeping up on water and iced tea refills). Modifications to menu items are happily accepted (e.g. changing out meat on Eggs B with avo and tomatoes). Elway's is always a good choice, whatever the occasion.
We went for the prime rib, but THEY WERE OUT OF PRIME RIB! So, we were very disappointed!
Food was great just had a issue with one steak. My wife ordered medium rare I ordered mine medium, it was far more undercooked than hers very rare. They took it back to cook it more but returned with the Oscar (crab) missing, and the steak well done and dried out. Can’t re-cook steak I wished they would’ve got it right the 1st time
just a ordinary restaurant. nothing special. service soso. and the New York prime beef tasted like normal way. only the starter towel can slightly attract me.
Food was excellent! Even with being much busier than normal for Restaurant Week the service was still amazing!
What is becoming an obvious pattern of late, being VIP with Open Table guarantees me the worst table in the house. In this case, a small 2-top by the entrance to the kitchen (reservation made several weeks earlier). They did re-seat us but I'm wondering if this is just bad luck or what some restaurants are doing to encourage direct bookings instead? That said, for restaurant week, the value was great (previous year had Filet Mignon versus this year's NY Steak but they held the price so that's mostly fair.), the service as good as always and the wine list is fantastic.
As always it was wonderful atmosphere, wonderful food and great service.
Waitstaff was very attentive. Some things better than others. Stick to steak.
We were seated in the bar, even though we had reservations for weeks. The side dishes were not good and definitely not family style as the server stated. We had a difficult time having a conversation because tre live music was too loud.
Elway s has always been a special place where service and quality exceeds expectation.
Visited during restaurant week and loved the food. Will definitely be back for regular visit! Outstanding service and fantastic food!
Dined 2nd Fri. Restaurant Week, so incredible value! It was pretty noisy, we could hardly hear each other & sometimes server. But that may have been partly due to awful table, which is why I also scored "ambience" lower: we saw none of it.
Asked hubby what he thought, he said, "Workman-like." That's not an insult, as just how inspired can one be with steak? Steaks were done as we'd ordered & very tasty. The mashed potates were exceptional, creamed spinach was great. The surprise of the evening was the creme brulee, which was among the best I've ever had, if not thee best.
Service was impeccable, thank you Tina! When we are next in the mood for a special steak dinner, we'll definitely put this on the short list.
Purposefully came on restaurant week to try Elway’s due to the menu price range. Service was good, and the steaks and sides were very good! The downside is that the “reasonable priced” wine selection was null and the $60 bottle selected was just OK. The salads were over dressed and just OK as well. For a $200 meal (including a good tip) for two, during restaurant week, it unfortunately wasn’t worth it.
Truly terrible experience. We dine at Elway’s Vail often and have dined many times at Elway’s Cherry Creek and downtown. We unfortunately dined during restaurant week and had such horrible service! I don’t know the server’s name because he never introduced himself but we spent $300 and were rushed out so fast! Shocking! The server took my husband’s plate before mine (within one minute of him placing his utensils down) and I had just started eating! So not worth the trouble!!!!! Very bad experience! The server was either new or VERY poorly trained.
50 words is like school in the 60s
I take the grandsons to Elways for lunch on a regular basis
Gives me time to visit with them and be impressed with the amount of food they consume
THey never miss an ELways lunch
Sevice is great, food is great and this should get me to 50 words
Went in for restaurant week and appreciated that menus displayed 👍🏾 Got an additional appetizer which was excellent! Tasted better prime ribs, prime new york was good and the rest just okay. Our server Steve however 👍🏾
Went as Part of restaurant week. Was very unimpressed with the quality of the food. My date and I did not like the red pepper soup at all. The filet was pretty good and there was nothing special about the mashed potatoes or broccoli. So glad it was not full price and I would never pay full price for this quality. Quite honestly, I think the steak and food at outback is better. Very overrated restaurant
Restaurant week treat
We were celebrating our 43rd Anniversary with lunch at Elway's. Upon arrival, the hostess greeted us with a pleasant "Happy Anniversary!", there was a nice anniversary card already on the table signed by the staff, and the dessert chef brought out a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal also offering us his congratulations.
The meal was wonderful. My husband had a grouper sandwich, while I had a cheeseburger with bacon. Both were as tasty as they were visually appealing, though my husband wished for a bit more "juiciness" to his sandwich. Things kind of kept falling out. Of course, the dessert was fully consumed and most appreciated.
Overall, the dining experience was first rate and very memorable. One which will be repeated - Thank you, Elway's!
Food quality not that great. Service seemed to rush us through
Beer was flat and the steak was nothing special, but everything else was good.
Our friends met for dinner at Elways. The teenage daughter had to be picked up a little after our reservation time, so one of our party left for 20 minutes to pick her up and return. The waiter couldn't have been nicer...timed the delivery of the salads and somehow got us all our food at the appropriate time. Many restaurants wouldn't put the order in before all were present. This was truly above and beyond top service!
My friends and I went there for restaurant week. First time for all of us and we loved it. Food was delicious!
It was great!! Food was amazing, Best steak I have had yet!!
