We loved our outdoor lunch, with 4 people. Our waiter Chris was knowledgeable and friendly, and our outdoor table provided plenty of space between other guests. The oysters and poke were fresh and delicious. We were a little worried it would be “touristy” but the space did not feel that way at all - it felt like everyone took pride in creating a high quality menu and environment. It was so nice to sit by the water and enjoy a wonderful meal. Thank you, Elliott’s!
The setting was beautiful we sat outside and had a gorgeous view of the bay. Our server went out of his way to make us feel special. The service from every employee host to bus boy was amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious, highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert
The restaurant has outdoor tables. I had a reservation and requested an outdoor seating if available. I was told the first table available would be in an hour so I chose to be seated inside, despite the fact that the empty tables outside were visible from the podium I did not insist. Over the next hour no less than ten parties were seated outside….the criteria to be among the selected evaded me. I asked another employee who told me the tables outside were “reserved “ (?) Also this is one of the restaurants which will automatically charge you 20% surcharge with the bill and then tell you you can request for it to be removed. Apparently you no longer can decide how much to tip, the owner already decided, now it is your job to undo it….
We were visiting my son and chose to go to Elliot’s! What a great decision. Eliza was our server and she was AH-MAZING! The wait was short and we’re glad we made reservations. The food was fresh & delicious - little pricey - but I call it worth it! The view was beautiful as well. Great experience. Glad we came.
Great food & ambiance. Located on Alaskan way & convenient to tourists.
The service and food were outstanding
I made reservation two months ago. Would like to have been overlooking the water. Very not good.
Wonderful seafood! We enjoyed the celebration and split an Alaskan salmon with cocktails. Can't wait to enjoy again!
Very lovely food. Prices weren’t correct on bill matched with menu and they charge 20 percent for their company on top of bill which I’ve never seen- but otherwise, so nice!
Appetizers were pretty good. But main courses were very poor. I booked the reservation 3weeks in advance. The menu and reviews talked about the wonderful copper river salmon. But our waitress told us it was only available limited times and they were out. Waitress was nice and deserved a 20%tip She was also overworked. As many restaurant patrons have noticed he understaffing is always a big problem. Our table for 6 ordered the Alaskan King salmon, halibut, crab cakes and a vegetable risotto. The salmon tasted overcooked and dry like t was almost freezer burned. The halibut was slimy in a mole sauce that seemed to be very bland except for 4 slices of red pepper sitting on the top. Probably won’t go back ever.
Everything was fantastic except for the scallops. Very tasteless and bland. Service by Andy and Arden fantastic. We were seated in a quiet section away from the crowd which we loved. Would definitely return but no scallops.
They charge a 20% service fee that goes directly to the restaurant. You don't find out until the bill comes. Completely ridiculous, never going back or recommending
Very delightful experience! The service was great the menu has a nice variety and great flavor combinations. We were seated inside, near the kitchen. The noise from the kitchen was a little loud at times. There was no outdoor reservations available the week we week in Seattle. I would return for the food and to experience some of the oysters.
Read about the 20% added to the bill so wasn’t surprised. Although I don’t know why they don't just raise the prices. Server said 10 of the 20% went to them. Oysters and knowledge about them great. Fish and chips good but not astounding. Great view of the sound from probably every table.
Everything great except the Mole sauce on Halibut. Why do this?
Our waitress went out of her way to make our dining experience fantastic! Amazing seafood.
Only negative was the restaurant was cold. Tom was an excellent server whose recommendations were spot on. Bread was delicious. Halibut was excellent.
Overpriced. Steak was undercooked. Told when we sat down that we had 1.5 hour to complete our meal so that they could turn the table.
Fabulous array of tasty deliciously prepared small plates.
Excellent food and location, very pricey. They charge you 20 percent surcharge (plus tax on that) for the company, so not a gratuity to your servers. Crab cakes and an alcoholic drink turned out to be $76, adding the surcharge and tip.
Our server was amazing. Good was fantastic. Great place for a waterfront dinner
The food was good to very good. We had a reservation for a patio table that was not honored. They said they didn’t have a record of that request. The same thing happened to another party that was there when we were. The food was pretty good but overpriced, probably because of the beautiful setting by the water. The waiter, Ryan, was attentive without being intrusive.
The outside dining experience is a mixed bag. On the positive side, the view of the water and the fresh air are both wonderful. The downside is the hit and miss shade provided by the table umbrellas, and the nasty blasts of smoky fuel smell thanks to the neighboring Argosy Cruise Company boats.
We had a meal of appetizers. Skip the not so spicy, heavy and bland corn and crab chowder. Fried oysters and steamed mussels take top honors, though the tarter type sauce is lacking. Spicy shrimp (again NOT so spicy) is good, but resembles Honey Walnut (w/out the nuts) shrimp you might get at Panda Express. Steamed clams are good, but need a better broth. Fish and corn fritters are a crispy treat. House salad was crisp and fresh with a refreshing dressing. An overall nice experience save for the obnoxious obligatory 20 percent surcharge that is tacked onto every bill, whether you like it or not. I'd rather shop around.
Many tourists slam this place, but we enjoyed it. I'm not an oyster eater, but my family enjoyed their oysters. We usually eat east coast oysters, so these were a fascinating contrast. Service was attentive, but not clingy. The mandatory "service fee" was a twist on building tips into the food prices, but really, paying tax on a tip?
This places suck!!! People not trained food stinks pricing is ridiculous. Go to long John silvers, much higher quality seafood.
We could hardly hear ourselves talk due all the people screaming and making other loud noises. This is a tourist trap. Oysters were great but expensive and other food options were mediocre. I would definitely not recommend this place if you want a nice and quiet meal.
Our server was amazing…best we’ve ever had. Crab legs were delicious, although one was very cold in places. We didn’t mention this to our server, as we were too hungry to wait for a replacement. The drinks and appetizers were great…oysters and spicy shrimp! But the knowledgeable and friendly server REALLY made the experience that much more enjoyable.
We had a fabulous time. Service and food amazing as always.
There’s a reason we keep coming back.
The view, service, and food was all excellent. This is a go to place when we are in Seattle
They charge a 20% service fee no matter what. They could even take their prices higher on the menu and allow for customers to leave as much tip as they see fit instead of making you feel like you have to pay for a service that may not be worth it.
Food and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend the oysters!! Our server could have communicated our table time limit a little better, as we were rushed towards the end.
Only complaint was that the Salmon was a little bland tasting
Incredible server and beautiful view and food!
Iconic restaurant on the water. Went there for lunch. Excellent raw oyster selection and fresh caught salmon.
Was an incredible experience! Food was amazing, drinks were so great, and our server was very knowledgeable and courteous! Will be back.
Excellent service and outstanding food!
Was my sons birthday so based on what I read I figured we would take him here. The reviews are very, very wrong. First off I had asked for a table outside with a view and when we got there they sat us inside and would not honor the location I was promised. Then there was the food... oysters had shell in them, clam chowder was thin and runny. Crab cakes were not cooked through. Service was very, very slow and waiter forgot to ever bring drinks we ordered. In summary we ate but I would say this was an overpriced Red Lobster only Red Lobster is better.
Excellent dinner with a great ambiance for my wife’s birthday dinner!!
Not only was the food fantastic (as it always always is--everything on the menu is gold), but our experience was made especially wonderful by our server, Andy. His encyclopedic knowledge of the oysters available and their relationship to the local geography, his close attention to our needs (never to the point of intrusiveness--he knew it was Date Night), and his generally sparkling personality really made this an outstanding experience.
Oysters were fresh and the waiter was extremely helpful in answering any questions we had. Food was fantastic. We will be coming back again next time we are in Seattle.
