Good food, great ambiance, and superb service! Wish we had our server's name--she's worked there 11 years, she told us, obviously loves her job, and is exceptionally good at it!
Great food, even better service. Definitely recommend!
Fantastic food in a semi-kitsch but fun environment. Highly recommend!
Definitely a tourist spot, therefore overpriced. Since we visit family in the area and have been there several times, can’t resist a stop at Elliot’s. Can’t beat the view and the oysters!
Great views of the water and fresh fare. Definitely make a reservation.
There were plenty of empty tables outside as it was after the lunch hour rush but the hostess said it was a 30 min wait. Also it took 30 min for me to get dessert which was kind of ridiculous. They food was good but I was expecting a great experience given the reviews and how hard it is to get a reservation
There was a 20% service charge added to our bill, that did NOT include the tip (party of 4). I've never seen this before, I don't know if it's related to COVID? Honestly, if I had known this ahead of time, I would not have made a reservation here. This is a really beautiful restaurant – the staff and ambience can't be beat. The food was fine. I was hoping for great considering the prices, but I guess that's what you get at a touristy place like Elliott's.
Food was absolutely terrible.
The oyster selection was wonderful and our waiter took the time to understand our palate to match the selection to what we would like. The mussels were amazing, order extra bread for soaking up the broth! Fish and chips were simply delicious.
Excellent Oyster options and the entrees were good too. Alcohol selection was limited but had good quality options.
I ordered the pan fried oysters and my wife ordered the dungeness crab cakes.
Both entrees were very delicious and tastefully presented.
Excellent high quality seafood and great service!
We moved our son here from Minnesota. We wanted to take his girlfriend and him out for a nice dinner before we headed back home. Was a nice place, yummy food and great service. Will go back there again when we return to visit.
Must admit the 20% service charge explanation is quite confusing. They add on a 20% surcharge which is 100% retained by the restaurant so when it comes time to tip you ask yourself, are the servers being paid a higher wage inclusive of benefits? Have not seen this before.
A great experience. Our waiter Mark, and he was well versed on all the activities available to travelers.
We were visiting Seattle and decided to check it out. The food, atmosphere and service were all first class!!
I have never dined in a restaurant, where upon seating, tells you there is a 1.5 hour limit for dining and you will be asked to leave at that time. And that is only the start.
We ordered Kusshi Oysters and were given who knows what kind of oyster but not Kusshi! I even saved two shells to verify my concern when I returned home and again, definitely not Khushi.
We also had what seemed to be an inexperienced waiter, and I can understand that with the employment issues we read about in the news. But this waiter didn't even bring us utensils and a napkin. We finally asked for a napkin after the oysters arrived.
We did not order dinner and left after a beverage and oysters. Overall a very unpleasant experience.
Menu and food and view were great. Having a 20% service charge was an unwelcome surprise. With an additional 20% gratuity for our server, it was more costly than expected.
I give Elliot’s four stars only because the Wagyu burger was not properly cooked as asked but my husband loved the oysters and the Tequila Lime Mussels were DIVINE! A must but get a reservation! No walk in right now!
The food was delicious, the view was beautiful, and the service was great!
The oysters are amazing here but the prices are too much. One variety was listed at 3.75 but was charged 4.00 on the receipt. Not a big deal except they charge a 20% service charge to pay higher wages to their employees and this charge is taxed. So you have to decide if you are going to tip on top of that. Makes it extremely expensive to eat there. Not all places in the area charge this fee. They have two fried oyster choices, a starter and an entree. I asked how many oysters were on the entree and was told 10 but only had 7 on my plate. Little things they do to save a buck if you are not paying attention. Won’t eat there again.
Food was not very good............................
Food is over priced for quality. Service was extremely below average. Restaurant charges 20% “service charge” that states the restaurant will keep in entirety and then expects customers to tip wait staff on top of that. Ridiculous to expect customers to pay 40% of their bill. Would not recommend or return.
Beautiful location. Really good food (oysters). Service was very good.
Their raw seafood is outstanding, as is their cocktail menu. I think their pasta dishes need a bit more work.
2 dozen oysters, 2 of each kind offered. Exactly what we wanted. A side of bread and butter for the 2 of us. Along with a cider and beer. Finished sharing a key lime cheesecake.
A little more upscale but still feel comfortable in casual dress, the seafood was fresh and service was prompt. Watch the 20% service charge on the meal though. A bit deceptive but there’s no way around it.
Birthday for niece was excellent.
Delicious food! The recommendations for oysters were spot on
The food was exceptional, but we felt rushed and pushed by staff even though we had a reservation. We understand that they do not want people to linger but pushing people and telling them that they have a time lining to enjoy dinner is just not the way to run business, especially at that price point.
Our waitress made the difference!
Elliott's Oyster House sets its bar high due to it's pricing and the 20% automatic add-on. I have eaten here several times before and expected to have a great meal. That expectation was met; I was satisfied
Awesome food here always coupled with a nice ambiance that can be scaled up in formality as you desire! We came for our last meal in the early evening (~5pm) before going out of town and were drenched by the rain while a few tables over a family was dining and dressed very nicely. Good wait staff and on a nice day you get great views from the dock!
We were visiting from New York and our server William was extremely helpful in explaining the varieties of oysters and pointing out the local seafood specialties. He made our wedding anniversary which we were celebrating truly memorable. Although our reservation was late in the evening he did not rush us through the meal and was very cordial and professional during our dining experience. If our stay in Seattle was longer I'm sure we would have returned for a second time to try other items on the menu. It was hard to choose among the extensive selection which all seemed worthy of satisfying anyone looking to dine on excellent seafood.
We celebrated my husbands birthday here and absolutely loved it! Our server was fantastic and was super open to giving us recommendations. All the food and drinks were delicious, we loved our experience!
Dungeness crab appetizer was disappointing; no crab meat. King crab legs were excellent. Pea risotto was terrible. It was a mixture of leftover veggies and cream sauce. Our waitress was excellent.
I had the seafood pasta, my daughter the salmon and my husband the fried oysters. All were amazing although we wished there were other potato options besides French Fries (that were cold) and seasonal potatoes.
Really disappointed. Waited almost 30 minutes past reservation, 20 more minutes at table for water or anyone to come over. We were going to order apps, salads and more drinks but that took so long and they warned us when seated “we only had 1 1/2 hours”. $123 for two entrees plus the added 20% and one martini wasn’t worth it.
Terrible service. Water glass was never refilled nor offered. After first cocktail took 20 min to arrive, no offer for another after glass ran dry. We noticed our entree dish excluded the dungy crab that is included, but again no one said anything and simply brought the dish without it. Been a regular customer for many years but I’m unlikely to return.
